  1. flip flop at OP is pretty good. you know you have done the last 2 corners well if you are going fast enough that you want to lift off. plus there is so much road there now. track/ripple strip/concrete/more concrete/dirt. the only part you really dont want tyres on is the ripple strip. other than that just pick a line, hold the throttle flat and enjoy. it hammers the underside and suspension a bit though. love coming off the bridge too. lots of track there to use also, but it's very dirty if you get too wide too early. apart from that it's a great corner. 4 and 5 at eastern creek is pretty good. you come down into 4 off the hill and it's one of those corners that can actually be taken pretty rapidly. then you need to be instantly back on the right side to turn in for 5. turn 1 at eastern creek is good for the odd brown moment too but so many people I know have stuck it into the wall there with nasty results that kind of takes the fun out a bit. wish they would move that inside wall as it's very close to the track and claims many a fine car. at wakefield I quite like the turn coming onto the back straight. can be tricky to time just right and is pretty important for a run down the back straight towards the last turn onto the front straight.
  2. I like ya style Erol. wear something sexy mark.
  3. bad move N1SATAY. you are the only warnable mod to post in here so far. I'm trying to decide if that justifies the 90% warning I'm about to bestow on you.... hmmmm.
  4. never fear. I'm here. and I got your 2 pms sam. I've never known anyone to want a part so bad or so fast!! 2 pms and a thread about it. schweet. anyway, for those that want to know, sam wants my ganador mirrors. but sadly they were sold many moons ago. I really should start locking these FS threads after I sell bits. R35 Baron doesn't have quite the same ring to it. I'll take that one under advisement dundan. I did see madam lash and I am featured on many an upcoming japanese DVD. really hoping to hit it big in the porn industry this year. thank you, and goodnight.
  5. why don't they make exhausts with the V-band type flanges now? trust did make one before like that, and it's awesome. easy to fit/remove. seals well, no pesky leaks. I guess cost is the only downside, but it's not like you are going to have 10 bloody V-bands.
  6. yeah, it's even more crucial on an L6 as the cams are so long. plenty of RB26/5/0s out there with snapped cams even just from not being torqued up quite right or in the right order. wrong sized cap will be a problem.
  7. plus it's cheap as hell. you can use the $800 you save to buy us all a lap dance in tokyo.
  8. bumping once or twice a WEEK is ok. bumping once or twice a day is not. take this as your one friendly warning.
  9. if it's a non-vspec diff you should be able to buy the clutch pack upgrade from nismo/nissan for the rear. they are quite good with that upgrade. other than that I have no idea how to choose between them really. cusco/tomei/nismo/ATS/kaaz/OS Giken they all make GTR diffs and all have their fans. for this car considering it's all out balls to the wall maybe look at a pair of carbon diffs.
  10. yes GTR is king! well at least if you could somehow have a 1250kg GTR it would be. to my mind the only thing holding the old GTRs back is weight, and perhaps a little bit of nose heavy distribution. nothing $80,000 of bits and work can't fix though!
  11. well someone went. pretty sure I saw at least 2 dozen spectators when I watched some of it on TV... lol.
  12. well it makes perfect sense to me. here is a tiny country full of people whining about ducks in albert park, add to that no one else in the world can watch it unless they want to do so at 4am. also, the government doesn't want to spend too much money on it so there is no where near a big enough cheque ready for bernie and that further compounds the loss of worldwide TV revenue problem. plus we are the furtherst race travel wise from F1's centre in europe. it's a sad state of affairs, but it would make perfect sense to go somewhere else. I hope they can reach a deal for a night race which would be awesome, but I can't see it happening.
  13. wish I had a turbolader. been stuck here some some crappy ones that are just turbocharging it will be interesting to see the difference from twins to single.
  14. nice one mate. glad the black car is back safe and sound you going to do the 34 black too? could be nice, have a set in black.
  15. lol, I don't know about dinner, but next thursday is RSL.
  16. I don't agree at all. I would wager there will be no R35 GTR Z tune. The Z tune was made for a couple of special events. they commemorated nismo's 20th anniversary by building 20 special cars they commemorated the ceasing of production of the LAST SKYLINE GTR by producing their FINAL tuned version. the Z tune. I'm sure they will make parts for the new GTR, and they will almost certainly produced a lightly tuned version or versions (small power upgrade, slightly different body kit etc) like they currently do with the 350Z and like they have done in the past with the skyline GTRs, but I would highly doubt there will be an R35 GTR Z-tune. it just doesn't make sense.
  17. Yokohama Advan AD07 are a pretty good 'fast road' tyre.
  18. geez guys, just cause I can laugh at myself doesn't mean you have to laugh too! I mean, I even gave you the kruger comparison (though I admit he may be more handsome).
  19. steve I don't know where you get $3500 for a set of R35 calipers but my guess is nissan charge much more than that. they are 6 piston mono-block brembos used with 380mm rotors.
  20. lol, yeah it's one of those throw away jobbies. canon 400d. I was probably adjusting settings with the wheel on the top. and nytsky, hands of the jumper mate! it is a nice jumper! just colours are all a bit weird in that late afternoon sun. I mean fark it's hugo boss. though I must admit it is a bit reminiscent of freddy krugers outfit. and I guess it's true that troy and I were separated at birth. all this time I was a bloodnut and never knew it. it took japanese technology to show my inner ginger.
  21. for sure. 105 wouldn't even cook a sanga properly. and looking at the gauge it goes orange (whatever that means? maybe it means push harder) at 130 and only goes red zone at 150. nasty. you could deep fry some nice chips in it once it hits 150 though...
  22. wow, not cheap, but they sound pretty good, and at least supply actual flow results with lift. but once you add the cost of the actual head into it we are talking some pretty serious money for a head job. I would consider the hand job in japan or even here. at least as you know there are plenty of workshops in japan that have been building nice RB26 heads since the day they started selling GTRs back in 1989. the haircuts and cardigans have remained the same, but I would wager they have learnt a lot in how to make a 26 head work. and it wont cost anywhere near the above. having said all that, if this i going into a BIG power car then cost wont be the problem, so the US CNC job would be the most proven way to go.
  23. well I don't live in japan so I can't really comment on my experience. but I do travel there twice a year and it's harder to leave every time. I guess I have been flirting seriously with japan for about 2 years now, but Japan and I haven't finalised our courtship yet. So even though you do post a lot of garbage adam, I will give you this. BIG credit for doing what you wanted and moving to japan. big chance to take and lots of balls to do it. more than I can say for myself. having a comfortable life here with decent job, and friends, family, property etc are the only things that has kept me in aus. so definitely big respect to the guys that took that chance and moved to a country that is about as foreign as it gets for most young aussie lads. well maybe north korea would be a bit more of a challenge... I will also say that everyone I know who has moved there, hardly any of them who have made it work long did it for cars or to get chicks. you can experience both those things on a holiday. but what keeps people that I know there is the amazing depth of culture and the relationships built with others living in japan (both japanese and foreigners).
  24. just to attempt to keep this on topic (lossing battle I know, and I am guilty). what was the name of the vid? or even better if you could post a pic of it? onegaishimasu I'll send word out for a copy.
  25. lol, scantily clad women mean I have to watch where I step as there are usually so many guys laying on the ground for up-skirt that there is a high danger of one of them accidentally copping my size 12 shoe on the back of the head, or even worse on the top of they mega yen canon lense.
