Heathcote rd single lane with 100knph limit double white lines and a steady stream of cars coming the other way and some cock on his pushy doing 30kmph I had to slow the truck to that then sit behind him till there was a gap big enough for me to get around him safely then spend the next ten minutes trying to get back up to speed so yeah held up by a farkin pushy which caused a massive traffic jam
-
Amen, avoiding a collision is by far the best way for pushy rider to live on, but way is the onus on the car drive to avoid someone putting themselves in harms way by riding on roads not designed to have them on it and that is full of cars doing over double the speed of said pushy rider Just becuase one has the legal right to be a stupid inconsiderate arsehole that doesn't have to give a fark how ones own actions effect others doesn't mean it is morally right and then expect those effected people by ones actions not to get pissed at them

Terry, its a good idea but who pays for it, god knows there are a lot of drivers that would benifit from extra driver training, but to set up a corse for millions of people would cost billions of dollars and who has to wear it, the tax payer or is it something that should be done at time of licensing and making families that are already struggling financially fork out for it, and how would that help now with the millions of drivers that are already set in their ways and for what a few hundred or maybe thousand push bike riders that don't want to take responsibility for they own safety and ride on roads that aren't setup for them and then expect others to avoid them I agree the infustructor just isn't there for push bike riders and that is just how it is ATM, but as the new roads are getting built they are starting to accommodate for them, like the M7, and as much as you have to slow down for over passes and what not isnt the safety factory of that better then dodging car on narrow roads and on/off ramps That would be nice, I have 7 regos each year but I can only drive one at a time, put the rego on the driver would save me a butt load

The laws just changed, this is the first year I didn't have to take my truck over the pits, just a HVIS Single axels do HVIS all bigger vehicles go to HSIV for the first 5 years then they go over the RMS pits I am always very cautious and curtious to bike riders and am trying to comment in a generalised way and all I trying to say is take some responsibility for your own safety and choose roads that are safe for both you and other motorists, curtiousy goes both way though and if you choose to ride on roads that hinder other motorists then don't complain when they react in a negative manner Just cause I don't understand why you would want ride 50kms to and from work each day is in no way me telling you what you can and can not do Depends what part of Mulgoa rd your on, north of the M4 yeah sure south of the M4 to Walliaca fark that you are playing with your life

Same said maybe some of the bike riders should learn to drive a truck and have a look form our side, people think driving a truck is easy and that it will instantly do what ever the driver wants it to, and they would be dead wrong, i have driven a buggy tipper with super dog sonce i was 19 and they have a mind of their own and i can really only make suggestions as to what i want it to do, there is always two sides to everything with both sides thinking they are right Even at 60kmph in a hundred zone by the time I see a pushy its most times already to late to slow down but if their is room then no problems I can just go around them but if it is peak hour then I am putting myself and other motorists lives at risk by trying to slow down so quickly Obviously this is a no win topic so I'm just going to say this, in my experience a majority ( not all ) of push bike riders are like a majority of smokers in the fact they believe that because they have the right to do something then fark anyone else and how what they are doing will effect others, like smoking at the entrance of shopping centres restaurants and even hospitals is the same as pushy riders riding on roads like Heathcote, Mamre, Northern, Elizabeth drive etc, people from western sydney will know what I'm talking about

Changing Quad Clutch To Something Dd
XKLABA replied to Nismo 3.2ish's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I have a seperate laptop for interweb banking and car tuning and another one for everything else, cause doesn't trust anything -
Another thing that should be taking into consideration is location of road use, where I come across bike riders is 99 times out of 100 some where that is not entirely safe for them to be, that said I never ever ever ever go into the major city like never ever ever, I flat out refuse to go there for any reason, the level of stupid and incompetent on the roads in that place is unbelievable and at least half of it should be push bike only or tram
-
I have euro spec truck with disc brakes and abs and what not and even it wont stop on a dime at 100kmph, the difference is even a cautious grand parent isn't going to sit on 30kmh in a hundred zone and can be seen from a lot further away giving me longer to make the speed correction that is also another one of those laws that leaves to many variables that aren't accounted for like arseholes pulling out in front of you but the law states your in the wrong when really you had no other option, same goes for pushy riders, its like i was told when I did my motor bike licence " the law isn't going to help you when your dead, so put your own safety first " so basically even if you have the right to do what you're doing think about all the farkin idiots on the road before you put yourself somewhere that puts you at risk It's the speed difference and difficulty to see push bike riders that out them at most risk, don't get me wrong i don't think its just push bike riders, I have seen stupid come in all manner of road user, from pushy riders through to truck drivers and taxi drivers through to police cars, I'm just saying PUT YOUR OWN SAFETY FIRST, and if you think it is not entirely safe to ride on a certain road then don't Why on earth would you ride a push bike 50km to work, surely there is something better you could be doing with that time, that said freeways are good for pushies cause there is plenty of room for them, we have the M7 here that has a bike lane that runs parallel to the freeway, one of my mates use to use it to get to work in the mournings, about 12-15kms from plumpton to Bella vista and all completely seperate from the main freeway It comes back to what is said earlier, just cause you have the right doesn't make it right and of safe to do so, vehicles that can not do the speed limit ( driver aside ) should not be allowed on that road Which brings my next point, road rage isn't a problem it is a product, the problem is the arrogant - ignorant - inconsiderate - incompetent drivers on the road, people don't get in their cars telling them selves they are going to lose their shit at some stranger, it comes from a series of incounters with said road users that bring someone to that point so if someone goes off at you or tries to run you off the road it is most likely from something you did

Road is there to share yes, but if you CAN NOT do the speed limit them you shouldn't be on that road, but since the road is there to share does that mean I can grab my sons razor scooter and run out to the M4 and travel down the right side lane Common sense must prevale at some point, as for one meter matters your right but being somewhere you shouldn't be is worse and I will use Heathcote Rd as an example here, 100km speed limit - one lane with no asphalt break down lane - me in my truck in a lane bairly wide enough for the truck and oncoming traffic and next thing you know I come across a pushy doing 30-40kms an hour, what know cause my truck won't stop that quick and no where to go to get past pushy at all let alone with a meter clearance, the pushy rider should concider himself lucky I got past him at all let alone with a meter gap, everyone think trucks accelerate stop and handle like race cars and I'll tell what they don't and then it is ALWAYS our fault YOU are an idiot and put yourself in a farkin STUPID position that we have to avoid you in a place you realisticly right or wrong legally or not shouldn't be, and that is the biggest problem with this situation is you think cause you have the RIGHT to be somewhere then fark anyone else and how YOUR actions effect others Now there are places you can ride pushies safely, so I can not for the life of me under stand why you would want to ride some where you are likely to get to close to law abiding motorists doing the correct speed limit that is in most cases twice as fast as a pushy can go Lets face it there are all sorts of different levels of competence among drivers Serious if your using it as a commuter then buy one with a motor, I have a ZX10R and I wouldn't even use that as a daily commuter, if it is recreational then there are places you can do it that allows you to do it safely for both you and us You think it is only bike riders that gets effected by someone hitting you when your actions put yourself at risk, what about the poor driver that has to live with the fact they have killed someone for rest of their life when it wasn't them that was somewhere they realistically shouldn't be right or wrong I know im gong to cop it for this but fark it cause it seems that push bike riders think it is open game to lay blame on motorists so it is only fair we the motorists get to share our minds and that is what this is from someone that see it on a daily basis

You may need to remove cams to get nuts on studs depending if the cams have big enough cutouts or not, it will be a try and see situation unfortunately And also doing one at a time might be an idea as not to disturb the HG any more then necessary, also blow out each hole with a compressor Other wise I can't see any reason why you can't do what your asking
-
Interesting, I can understand making it so that a car has to give way to someone already on the road, that just common sense and a fair call in my book But what is concidered "near" an intersection, 1m, 2m, 5m, 10m, I personally think if the pedestrian is still on the foot path then they should give way to a car that is already turning in The cock today was about 10m back from the road when he looked at me and my indercator was already on and just keep gong like it was his god given right
-
What cams and head gasket have you got ?
-
That's the first I have heard of that, I was under the impression if there was my crossing it was the responsibility of the pedestrian to cross safely I'll just pop this here
-
Yes, the cams have reliefs for removing the head bolts without taking out the cams, the very back ones are a pain but can wiggle out so do them first, not sure how you are going to go getting the stud nuts back on though The same tension on studs put more clamping force then the bolts do and may distort an already settled HG I think it can be done but not something I would do, the 26 bolts are pretty strong and unless your pumping massive power and boost I would shelve them and wait till it had to be done
-
If he was on the road I would have given way to him, but he came off the footpath across the side street I wanted to turn into and back onto the footpath on the other side There is a time and place for everything, the time and places I come across push bike riders is never the right time or place for them to be where they are doing what their doing
-
Ok so I was not going post on this topic as I drive a truck for a living and as much as I try and be curtious to cyclists as much as possible, but on busy roads in peak hours they are a pain and a danger to themselves and other road uses One vehicle traveling at such a slow speed cause more accidents then one vehicle speeding period, I see it all the time, people having to take drastic actions to avoid hitting said vehicles end up forcing other vehicle off the road or into other traffic Now the reason I decided to post, on my way through Penrith alone Jamison park there was a adult bike rider riding on the footpath approaching the side street I needed to turn into, I turned on the indicator slowed down to turn into the street, the bike rider looked at me then pedalled on across the road right in front of me, I had to slam the brakes on so I didn't hit him with a car full of kids, so I blow my horn at him and I got the given the finger and abuse hurled at me like I was the one in the wrong, fark him I wanted to run the cock over after that

My Diff - Possibly On Its Way Out
XKLABA replied to SiR_RB's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Get the right Allen key and you won't strip them, their genuine Nissan which good quality, just make sure the Allen key is all the way in before trying to undo them I have changed the diff in my 32 without dropping the subframe, so it can be done, just can remember what was involved as far as the pump was concerned, I think it was pretty straight forward, undo shafts then back bolts then front bolts and lower it out front first -
I am taking the spacers off ATM if you want to borrow, I'd also like to see how the Toyos comparing to the MTs
-
Factory R32 16s, with 20mm spacers and a quick grind off the ridge of the caliper and they fit with like .5mm clearance I ran last week with 275/35/19s and couldn't get more then 128mph, the Toyos stand 1" lower in OD the the 19s I have, I have 265/35/18 hankook semis I have to get rims for and they are smaller in diameter again
-
Haha I've done that, more then once
-
The factory head bolts on a RB26 are 10mm Allen key, hex key
