  1. The thickness of the sensor will also effect how responsive it is, I want to look at getting two made up 10-15mm long and 3mm thick and fit them into the collector part of the manifolds which has quiet an open area
  2. That is a good thing, just doesn't give the ECU inputs for safety protocols for engine cuts This is what I'm going to get for my Syvecs soon http://mobile.dudamobile.com/site/jti-site?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.jti.uk.com%2Ftoucan%2F&dm_redirected=true#2902 Speaks for it self really, its just really expensive but all inputs come from one of the CANBUS outputs from the ECU
  3. Given cylinder 5 has 0 comp and 4 has only 15psi there is no way on this side on gods good green earth you will be putting those pistons backin with just new rings, if your lucky you will be able to bore out the damage at 40thuo either way at best you will be up for over sized pistons rings HG etc etc, and really why would build a motor and not pay the extra for forged items, suddenly $1500-$2000 for a good condition motor will be cheaper and then can be resold once forged motor built My last 32 motor had 30psi in cylinder 5 and there was 1cm of the ringlands just gone and a scratch on the bore that wouldn't come out, my guess to get 0psi then he has had the piston and valve come together
  4. Just swap it out for a cheap wrecker motor, get one that has a comp test and leak down test etc done so you know its in good nick then drop it in and off you go Then pull yours down and rebuild forged or even 3ltr at your own leisure when you have decided its now to slow and you want more power It happens to all of us at some point
  5. In your first post you state you lost power going from 20 to 23 psi and you made 270kw at 20psi with very retarded timing, so if you lost power going from 20 to 23psi then I wonder if you lost power going from 18 to 20psi and having to retard the timing at 20psi Get it back to 18psi and see if that allows them to run more timing and see if it gains you any more power E85 benifits knock limited engine a lot more then ones that aren't, there certainly isn't a rule of thumb on gains from converting to E85, some motors might pick 5% where other may gain 40% really depends on how the motor is setup and if its limited by knock, I'd say your motor will pick up a heap from going E85 cause it sounds like it is very knock restricted
  6. Depends on what factory dump pipes you have, they are all different and the 32 ones will struggle to flow 370kw, the 33 and 34 ones will be a restriction at that power aswell just not as much as the 32 ones, that said you can blow a golf ball through a length of garden hose if you blow hard enough
  7. More boost will make a restricted system worse, if the rear housing or manifold is restricting the system more boost will dramatically increase manifold/back pressure coursing detonation Get an EBC, they are better all round and will hold the wastegate shut longer by not allowing it to creep open which will make it ramp onto boost quicker and you can try different boost levels to better see what's going on We tried 22psi on my 32 but didn't gain any more power but had to remove timing, 19psi is the sweet spot for my setup, you need to find yours Same thing with my 34, we couldn't run more then 28psi for the same reason, the twin .64 on a 3ltr don't like that much flow
  8. Hey just a quick one, where does the ECU get its revs from ( rhetorical question ), could it be the CAS playing up maybe
  9. Nistune I believe, the ONLY way the revs v speed can change is if you did the test in one gear then later did it in a different gear and some how forgot what gear you did said test in, diff won't change revs v speed nor will tyres as the speed sensor is on the output shaft of the gearbox, I also think the signal goes speed sensor - speedo - computer but could maybe incorrect on that one
  10. Ok let's see if I can explain this good enough, for the sack of this discussion we will use 4th gear cause it is 1:1 ratio and we will assume it is a 4.11:1 diff ratio So the crank turns 4.11 times which in turn turns the gearbox input shaft 4.11 times which tunes the output shaft 4.11 times which turns the diff input shaft 4.11 time then the diff reduces it at a ratio of 4.11:1 which turns the wheel 1 time, this NEVER changes unless you change a ratio in the drive line and is the same for every gear just with different ratios inside the gearbox applied So revs v speed in any given gear will never change no matter how much power you throw at it
  11. Oh then lolIf the exhaust housing is a restriction the turning up the boost will only make the situation worse, knock it back to 18 and see what happens, at least then we can compair apple to apples
  12. Manual or auto ?
  13. i too would be interested in the I30 idea, shit like that fascinates me
  14. Hahaha missed that one, dam autocorrect
  15. As above plus When did the 32 get realised without a wing ?
  16. Nah it just goes to a login page, I tried it loved into my wife account but am not good enough with copmuters to get to it ?Thanks for the offer, I will look at figuring it out later, cause was there so pics are nice but not important
  17. So same as the RH9 ATM
  18. That looks good, any idea on an English translation and costage
  19. This thing was making better power before the ECU changed and everything else is the same except now the exhaust is better so clearly the issue is in the ECU where it be the settings or simple the tune Clear some space in your inbox, I too tried sending you a PM
  20. Street only, then Bilstiens and Eiback or Whiteline springs, its what I have in my 32 GTR and are quite nice to drive day to day
  21. The best and easiest EBC I have used is the HKS EVC 4 ( jap version ) 5 ( US version ), as with any thing car related " you get what you pay for "
  22. The external waste gate is you actuator ( its all in one unit ), I believe he said he has a T boost controller so its a bleed off setup, so the EBC will help to a point at both ends
  23. Ok so playing catch up here, Re spring rates, cause the beer belongs in the front seat, not the boot What trackday is that Pete ? Keen as mustard to get the 34 back on the track
  24. What I found interesting about this is the GTX3076 had an option for RBTwin comp housings, doesn't that mean they can be a Bolton option for the GTRs The GTX3067 would be a nice turbo for the 26/30 in twin form
