  1. There is a 2 part rubber bush to stop things getting in the car and noise as well. The lower one gets pretty close to the stick and mine was making my car pop out of gear. There is another rubber boot that hugs the gearstick and goes over the gearbox. Just take the 2 other rubber boots off and see if the problem goes away Otherwise I wouldnt think the nylon bush would cause it to pop out of gear unless it was heavily worn. Might be a problem with the gear detents if it turns out to be a gearbox issue
  2. Perhaps you have a blocked cat and this is what the sensor is telling you? Wouldnt expect it to just all of a sudden block and cause the car not to start at all. The sensor just unscrews from the cat. Mine still works (AFAIK anyway)
  3. Plug does nothing unless you have a power fc boost kit. It uses the standard plug with the apexi solenoid So no problem removing it and blocking the boost line
  4. I have a z32 Rob Not sure what happened to my old one.
  5. Cummins/Holset turbos had a problem with VNT on truck engines. Was something to do with the variable vanes or actuator getting clogged with carbon and not allowing the vanes to fully open or close. The turbos have speed sensors in them so when this happens the speed of the shaft is too high or low and the engine de-rates Vague random information. But its not a problem when there is no speed sensor, or at least there will be no major problem with the car. You will just have reduced performance or increased lag till its sorted. This is an issue with specific turbos though and does not necessarily apply to stao's design. Im really looking forward to what happens with this in the next few months. So tempted to trade mine for a VNT still lol
  6. The gears are a tight fit and hard to get pullers around etc. Wouldnt reccomend it unless you have the right gear and experience. All the bearings are needle rollers and slide on and off (bar the end bearings which are tapered roller) Shouldnt have much trouble getting them off

  8. Ring NPC and tell them what you need /thread (Google NPC clutches)
  9. R33 here but I mounted mine in and around the rear. Hidden away so you cant see them. Have a photo somewhere
  10. Injectors. Should still idle with a bigger turbo (should not will) If your AFM is upgraded as well that will be a problem. Injectors and AFM will not work well on a std ECU

  13. Figured there must be alot of R&D yet to come. I'm sorta keen to see how good the SS2 goes anyway, so I'm sure I can swap later on down the track Something around 350rwkw with full boost at 3500rpm or lower would be amazing. I'd love to feel a high power VNT setup, must feel amazing

  15. I get an odd loud click kinda noise from the back only when its wet. Its more of a loud click then a bang but it could probably be described as either Thought it was my diff mounts which are all new polyurethene bushes but thinking now maybe it might be the strut tops on my BC BR coilovers. Not sure why it only does it when its wet but

  17. I Just want to drive my lowly 320hp car at the moment. Been driving a VS ute for a week and a bit, so keen for boost again.... Apart from quad turbo, 16 cylinder, 2000hp boost. I've done that in the last week Not as exciting as it sounds...... I thought you were thinking about a JAP twin turbo V8 at one stage Ben or was that someone else? The only Jap V8 I've driven was a Celsior and that was far from amazing lol
  18. How far off ready to sell are the VNT turbo's Stao? Might be interested in a swap/buying a VNT turbo if they arent far off and it will work on my setup. They look like an insane power/response combo. At the same time though I still want to see what the SS2CBB will do as well. Can always upgrade later anyway

  21. I don't get hassled much, and mine is daily driven. Last time I got pulled over, I was speeding in a school zone (wasn't thinking, it was quarter to 3 or something) and they pulled me up, said I had a nice car, and knocked the speed down. So I cant complain at all Do something stupid, or have your car looking obviously illegal/untidy will get you pulled over but
