It's funny how they brought out all these new rules to cut costs, and it seems like there spending more money then ever trying to bend the rules. It also doesnt help when they change there minds every few years, just when they have the V8's figured out and reliable, they decide they want to change the engines again It's a bit strange. As long as they dont bring out that ugly roll bar thats gonna go over the front of the cockpit. Saw the photos of it and it looked horrible

HKS intake manifold? Not a Greddy one? And I would at least take it and check the AFR's. If it's a Greddy like mine (well rip off version) then your changing the airflow into the engine, so it may or may not affect the tune. I had mine tuned after Plenum got installed, but I was running Power FC before this. Stock ECU is pretty safe with AFR's etc. Just get it checked out

25's will hold up to 300rwkw with std internals no problem If you do everything right and look after the engine you can shoot past this figure, but above 300rwkw is basically anyone's guess. Could last forever, could last a couple of weeks. A good tune and good servicing goes along way to keeping your engine healthy Direct wired my fuel pump today. Seems to hold steady 18-19psi boost now instead of surging between 17 and 19 Needs a retune now, into the high 10's on my AFR's now lol

Also if anyone is chasing parts for there car and want a part number (up to R34 is all I can access AFAIK) then let me know I have got Nissan Fast working on my laptop, and its easier to give Nissan a part number then let them figure out what your talking about. Just need VIN number to search parts

I dont really know what he's like, I just got a bad first impression from him. plus I hate those F#@#R#@$ hanging prop things. Dont know how people think they look cool/good lol

You have to start somewhere. Look at Force India. They were at the back of the grid not so long ago, and now they are often top 10 in qualy or race. I think its good to see a new team investing so heavily.

with the stupid nuts hanging from the tow hook on the back? heard him bragging about how much power it had one day, and I thought..... It's still a 4 door R33 Epic Fail Adding those gay ass nuts on the back, thats just a whole nother level of gayness

Forged internals are a bit extreme unless your thinking of running 350+ rwkw. Realistically the stock engine is fine up to 300rwkw, and some survive even higher power then that with proper maintenance and supporting mods. Doing a forged engine without the tools or knowledge to do any of it yourself is going to cost you somewhere in the region of $10,000 once you have your turbo, ECU, engine parts then work out if your doing all that work your gonna need a better oil system setup, fuel setup etc etc. The list will grow Not trying to pick at your plan, just saying its alot of money you might not need to be spending.

I don't believe it would screw up your fuel economy. I'm not sure if vct is active at cruise off the top of my head but don't think it would hurt your economy to much if it was on Someone smarter then me might know more. But off the top of my head i don't think so

No VCT doesnt turn on at idle, and AFAIK your startup would not trigger it either. It's hard to say if the poor performance has anything to do with the solenoid or if you have another problem that is causing all your issues

Jeze this Townsville thread has gone quiet lol Anyone have an RB25 head? (complete)
-
Also I'm still chasing an RB25 head if anyone has one/knows of someone who has a spare one lying around.

Do you mean your rotors need machining? Have you looked how much new ones are? I got DBA rotors for mine for a bit over $400 for all 4. AFM pads are pretty good as well

try push starting it or at least rotate the engine slightly. I've had starters jam in position and not want to start. Worth a try before yanking the starter out
-
O.K so was the jump car running when you tried to start the dead car? When you say it turned for a second then stopped, was that the engine cranking or just the starter spinning? If the car is in a spot where it is possible to do so, can you try and push start it? Get the thing running for a little bit then stop it and try to start it again. If you can do this and it still wont start, something is going wrong with the starter, either the wiring or the starter itself is on the way out or already gone. So If this is the case I would check wiring first then if that looks all good then you might need a new starter. Check the resistance along the wire and see if its low enough (I wont give you an exact value, just report back) and check the resistance between the starter ground and the chassis to see if its low enough, again just report back 10-11v while the key is turned is enough to crank the engine over and indicates the battery is still O.K (without doing further testing) Was the new battery you tried right for the job? was it the right CCA etc?

prob not HID bulbs, but I could be wrong. You may end up going in and walking out with xenon filled halogen globes lol
-
I'd get them off ebay. Just match the wattage. They should be 35w or 55w They will probably be expensive from Autobarn, not sure if super cheap sell the bulbs? or even the kits?
-
Every 5, pretty much without fail.

Is it on recirc of fresh air? On fresh air it will allow some air to blow through. Probably not the problem but have a look
