  1. cmon man , don't be like that..im just joking, for all i know you could have fixed my problem easily..i do appreciate it, I will have to look at it when this frigging flue pisses of, im to weak atm to do anything cheers darren
  2. No, no, im glad ive found out now, as if i had found this out before, i would have never had had Warner Bros approach me to build the cars for Mad Max 4....they really loved the bullhorn style cooler pipes out of the bonnet of my project cars....ROFLMAO Can we please keep talking about my oil drain for the next 3 pages, im on the edge of my seat...lol Not joking now, i will check out that alignment Stao when i have no flue (11 days now, this is f**ked, and cbf hopping under car, and Scott/ God, thanks for your advice cheers darren
  3. what is it?, not a CDI, but a 18V voltage booster aka, hks twin power/xs engineering amplifier/b@M new volt type thing? cheers darren
  4. you can clock the comp cover..f**k me,, all those yrs i have been putting cooler piping up through the bonnet and i could have clocked the cover down, ive worn out so many holesaws to .. ..lmao cheers darren
  5. it would be less complicated to change the oil return, than take that turbo back of with the gate and 90 alloy bend on comp cover, its all on a finished, exhaust and all. I will see how skinny arm mcfee goes first being retired and on the pension theres no rush,i only need it to get me to lawn bowls on time, but beryl said she will give me a lift till its done cheers darren
  6. f**k me..i actually fell of my chair laughing..gold cheers darren
  7. i've actually go it on aswell scott, i just need to pull it down of the turbo drain a bit and push it a bit more onto the block fitting, id feell comfortable with another 10mm. i rang a mate and he reckons you need someone with smaller forearms to get in there so i will get a young skinny wily wipper snapper to have a go on it sometime this weekend..lol cheers old darren
  8. can't blame him, ive had the turbo apart, welded on a 90 on the comp, welded a wastegate on turbine, i reclocked it so the feed was dead at top, way ive always done it , never even checked bottom..didn't even think of the kinked steel drain as ive never used one... I think your right scott, but i think your also wrong,(or you could be right and right) if i clocked it, id need a longer hose again, the one i have would be way to short, it would need to be 3 times longer than standard hose( and i thought you could use standard drain hose?) And the other thing is, if the feed and drain in motor weren't offset..it would fit on fine, thats what i didnt account for... (thats is whats happening isnt it, im not tripping, the standard drain isn't offset?, i never looked though, ive done everything at 10pm-2am ish in the dark with just a halogen so far, has undone me on a few things Lol, enjoy being young haha, doesn't last forever, haha cheers darren
  9. i won't have my car going..lol cheers darren
  10. ahh, cool, but if i did that, i might as well fit a straight turbo drain, as it would have to come off to cut it, anyway and a straight drain would solve it as it has plenty of time to "shift over" and make up the offset, the problem isn't the offset, its the distance to Murphys law, ive never used a stock turbo drain ever..the minute i do, it f**ks me in the ass..lol On the dump pipe i fitted a couple of allen key bolts to the 2 bolts you can't get to(well on my dump you can't) i think you had that tip Hanaldo, so cheers for that, made that simple to refit., whereas before it was a flamin mongrel And my dump pipe doesn't touch my heater pipe...lol cheers darren
  11. Anyone have trouble fitting oil drain hose on G3?, only part that i have found hard. The standard hose was to short so i went and got some more hose, but i noticed that the G3 core must be in a different spot to 25 turbo and now the turbo drain to block fitting are offset, no biggy except that the drain and block fitting are 2 close together and they struggle to change direction twice (bending to make up offset, then bending to go straight onto engine block so close together. If i saw it before, i would have fitted a aftermarket straight drain, and then it would be piss easy. (maybe i still will) I got it on, but i am not happy with it, as its only on block fitting7mm ish atm.On the ground with jacks i really have no leverage. Might wait to it gets tuned and when i borrow hoist to drop front driveshaft, get some leverage on pipe at same time..flamin mongrel..haha. Apart from that turbos all fitted, need to fit cams next. cheers darren
  12. Turbos are like women, they are all a compromise somewhere along the line..lol (and to be fair its probally the same with men, haha) cheers darren
  13. 105mph with a 1.77-1.8 60 ft will run 13.1 ish.. I am going to race this... stagea.....once...and not tell my wife(because she will kill me..lmao)...you boys better sharpen up..can't have a 2 tonne family wagon beating you....lmfao cheers darren
  14. Thats one expensive chinese turbo.... cheers darren
  15. f**k knows, i imported the car and it was like that, on the plus side, it has brand new exhaust manifold studs, and it made it easy to pull apart... no skinned knuckles..lmao cheers darren
  16. yep, i lol'd, i bought it as its the only turbo Stao didn't change as much as his underpants..then i fitted it and he changed it...hahahahaha Oh well, it will be better than what was on there, when i pulled it apart, the turbo bolts where loose , the exhaust mani bolts where loose and the turbo side intercooler piping was not done up..it was laggy a f**k and whistled like a kettle for last 12 months, i just cbf'd tracking it till i did turbo change ...bloody japanese muckanics..lol cheers I bought one of those hypergear modified Td06 20G billets for my 4age turbo aswell Scott, got a 8cm housing for it cheers darren
  17. haha...its was free..i had a old school 45mm turbodumb aswell sitting around .it did not fit as it was to tall, if i bought one i would definitly get a tial 38, more flow and valve lift in same package. I hate internal gates. 90 percent the of the stuff i got is s/h or sitting around my shed , except for turbo and scotty intake (which fitted well, even though i changed the cooler pipe route, it still has 10mm clearance .Same as bloody silicon..i wanted black, but i found a big piece of blue in the shed..so i am using that. I am not scared of boost , if it makes power at 23-24psi, its coping it, Staos auto record better get smashed..lol i upgraded the wmi to a 600cc jet and may put it pre-turbo for testing , hopefullly the fat pig runs some 12's, i wanna see results, can't wait to smash it on the wastegate..lol cheers darren
  18. Yep ebay china spec..same as comp cover lol, ive been playing a game with this car,, try keep it cheap as possible, but also make shit last since its a roadtrip /family car, that spend all its time in the hills, i didn't feel like replacing a 90 degree piece of silicon due heat every 2 ish yrs, hence the alloy 90, and its moves it fair away from standard, and higher aswell, just all fitted still with longer silicon joiner and a twist of stock intercooler pipe. Braided cloth oil return, aluminium elbow, steel factory water lines, some ACL GTR heatshield on things, i am hoping i don't have to do no maintenance besides changing oil ever 5000km cheers darren
  19. started fitting G3 Type A on my stagea friday night, got it all on..now have some crazy flue thats knocked me on my ass since then but im getting there cheers darren
  20. SSPU1 is probally the go i reckon, to move there fat arse cheers darren
  21. well take it to the track..lol..p.s fitting water lines is a bitch..lol cheers darren
  22. you posts always give me a headache..lol cheers darren
  23. I don't think you can win, the resonace drone on a C34 is bouncing of the front windscreen and rolls in from the back, and only affects the front passengers. If you sit in the back seat, its not there, actually if you put you head a inch back from the front seats it disappears(well did on mine). but in the front it was ear bleeding, You might have a shot with it being manual though.. I had a magnaflow resonator on back of R31, it made a difference, BUT.. i think the main problem is a station wagons a big open area, whereas a sedan has a boot area and is a more enclosed spac, i woudn't expect a R34 sedan or 2 door to have same problem good luck darren
  24. Yeh i 100% agree you've done the right thing, just had me a bit puzzled on the outcome really cheers darren
  25. Didn't that fab dude that does all the lobster pipes, go a a easy 350rwkw on 20psi on standard mani on a G3 on E85 ages ago?, now he has a ss2 , and he wasn't the only one? Out of interest any thoughts why do you think the 56t performs so well compared to 58T if your not out of turbine flow and theres no restrictions else where? cheers darren
