  1. Well unless someone resprayed it Midnight Purple I then no R34's ever came in that colour. All factory purple R34 GTR's are either Midnight Purple Pearl II (series 1 only, only 400 made) or Midnight Purple Pearl III (series 2 only, not sure how many made). So if I had to guess I'd say its 95% a Midnight Purple Pearl II. Since its a V-Spec.
  2. Shop-a-dockets.
  3. Man that is really sad on behalf of the police officer. Anyway just wanted to say your pics aren't working so you might want to re-attach them. Nice car g'luck with the sale.
  4. Whaaaat? Current BMW 335i may be waaaaaaaaay overpriced at $104,000 but thats what an R32 GTR would've cost you in 1991. I think you've been smoking something if you think the Skyline was a cheap car new!
  5. V35 is actually the previous model now. V36 here we come. When is compliance going to be ready for the V36 ..... droool
  6. 1. No. 2. Nismo pump.
  7. funkymunky has a bunch of them.
  8. Thanks a lot for the links. I have heard many things of this car previously which is why I never doubted what you stated about it. Just suprised to learn what he is running although he is running N1 equivs and not GT-SS equivs. N1's are bigger than SS's so I gather the Garrett N1 equivs are also a step up in size over the SS's. I don't doubt this output from N1's but SS's are another story right?
  9. 300kw at 3000rpm? Are you sure this giant wasn't the main star in a story involving magic beans? Just kidding thats a fairly amazing setup. I'd love to see the details of that. And i'd also love to be proven wrong about the GT-SS's making 364awkw.
  10. Look the same as mine
  11. Sounds like you have a pretty happy dyno to me.
  12. Well it's not a Vspec II. Its an April 2000 Vspec. Vspec II's weren't made until August 2000. The differences aren't exceedingly large. The main ones being the bonnet and the rear rotor size which is slightly larger on the series 2 R34 GTR. Oh and the sticker on the back!
  13. Post removed - not sure if my information was accurate.
  14. Mate if cost was the deciding factor we would all be driving Corollas and this thread would be about the latest brand of LED washer nozzles and and pros and cons of coloured wiper blades. The truth is the GTR is a money pit and money saved on turbos will be spent somewhere else anyway so you may as well make that pretty low on the list of factors when deciding which turbos to buy and go for the turbos which suit your application best - within reason. My 2c.
  15. I had a 34 cooler on my 33. Great upgrade really. And easy to do. I fitted mine in the pouring rain without removing anything but the inner plastic guard in no time. Nissan did us all a favor when they designed the R34's cooler.
  16. Yeah its pretty hard to source HKS turbos. Oh look it took me a total of four clicks to order some on the web. Or a single phone call to Just Jap a quick drive down to Kirawee and there they are. I don't know how you can backup the claim of HKS turbos being less reliable than Garrett turbos when they are made using the same parts slightly tweaked. Which you even admit to later in the same post. How can it be fundamentally so different as to require a rebuild more often and yet have next to no difference?
  17. Good to see you back online! Will be good to catch up mate
  18. Poorer men would've bought R33 brembos... LOL
  19. Hmm look like 12mm bolts with a sleeve to me... Have you taken that picture to coventry to see if you can get something off the shelf?
  20. In for hot wagyu beef injection.
  21. Hey so do I. I'm not even being sarcastic. I like the bbq thing too.
  22. That's basically what I think in a nutshell.
  23. Why are the dinners all about the drinking these days... got better things to do then babysit someone who is vomiting on their shoes again like last SAU event i went to. News flash not everyone wants to get drunk every SAU dinner and if they were at resteraunts like they originally were then people would have a choice. Having a nice night out with some people with mutual interests or getting smashed with a bunch of random strangers from the internet. On another topic the great northern is great venue for the FOOD
  24. To be honest though on a stock bottom end I would chose GT-SS's and save for a forged rebuild before going to the GT-RS's. Then you can go nuts with what you already have and sell the SS's. That's just me though I prefer to be ultra conservative.
