I bought a getz about 2 months ago and only drive my gtr on weekends so you can really appreciate it more and i doubt i will get bored of it in a hurry.

Hey man, jst wondering if you have had the car dyno'd before installation of the camshafts + gears as id like to know whether they are a worthwhile mod. Ive read conflicting reports about stock cams being better; are there noticible gains to be had for turbo's that small? any1 care to share

hey bit offtopic but talkin bout old ic im jst wondering if i should have my intercooler cleaned on the inside; degreaser flushed through? reason i ask is cause in my uni labs we use autoclaves to sterilise and we must take into account temp vs time when fats are involved.

Tell me about it, i had one about 3 years ago and it was scary in all condition, especially the wet where you had to pretty much coast around a u-turn. My trip to great ocean rd was a most unenjoyable incident. ps mine only had 160-170rwkw

Hey congrats on the purchse! as for the jerking, i would suggest a process of elimination: grab some AFM cleaner for your twins, swap the spark plugs to some good ones, check the coilpacks for cracks, search for vacumn leaks in the cooler/turbo pipe easy things to check but may fix the problem as ive had similar issues with previous cars and those specific parts.

if you got the money go for an arc airbox otherwise the apexi pod kit is a really nice piece of kit

you would have to run a dangerous boost level to kick out that power; over 17psi - my mates s15 pulled 187rwkw with all those supporting mods and i pulled 166rwkw with 11psi + step 1 cams. regardless, an s15 is alot lighter too and with a good suspension setup + tyres will still eat a similar tuned r33

might need a shift kit bro - stage 3 *chirp chirp* and a 30,000rpm stally

Jst managed to take a pic of the diffuser, its very solid with no layers visible. definitely dry carbon only as its very strong and light too ps: very nice workmanship

Nice one hehe! have you looked at the coils yet man? a friend with a 180 cracked a stock coilpack after raising the boost quite a bit higher; he pulled them out and found a crack in one of the coils so he used some silicone to seal it and it was fine after that.....ps: he put in new ones a week or 2 later. goodluck man

id think its the info on who's name the bike is under. Ive always wondered how it works cos ive seen many a police car checking my rego while my car is parked. Perhaps checking for black flags against it? anyone care to shed some light?

Reading some of these stories really gets the blood boiling. My uncle was in a crappy situation once, was in the preston market carpark and some woman backed right out hitting him on the passenger side doors. He gets out to exchange insurance information and she begins abusing him, he gets out his mobile to call the police and she immediately says "you see, your on your mobile when you drive im gonna tell the police." The woman then simply drives off shouting racial insults. Was a......you guessed it big boat of a ford falcon; needless to say he took the plate number and reported it to police and insurance company.

I was thinking the exact same thing, pretty sure alot of the guys on here also had this on their mind but didnt wanna say it. Looking back at the supercharged thread and how certain she was talking about the expertise of "MY tuner and MY engineer" disregarding the advice from some very knowlegdable members. Ive met alot of girls like this and just feel sorry for the people who have to put up with them.
