  1. interesting, i posted in ur other thread some pics of my diffuser and i really couldnt see the alluminum weave; thanks for the clarification.
  2. 100% the civic; little pocket rockets those things are especially if u go the vtec engine + famous honda reliability and less police attention. not to mention fuel economy, handling, safety and u wont have to spend much in the way of modifications as they respond well to basic tuning (intake, exhaust and dyno tune etc)
  3. Any reason why u wanna run the knn filters? seems apexi got the best rating for airflow/filtration so a simple kit from them would be the best bet. knn i recall uses a hoseclamp so you could use the standard rubber intake hoses and a piece of alluminuim/stainless to adapt the filter onto; woud be very simple and cheap as knn filters are washable....but then again, so are apexi and you can buy new ones every 2 years or so for 150bsu so they always look new. as you have a vs2, id say money aint too big an issue, possibly an arc airbox to keep the cops from asking too many questions.
  4. I know people like to be different but what exacttly is wrong with the 2jz, plenty of them pulling that power easily. Amazing car, jst wanna know the mindsset about the choice? torque? lower rpm spool maybe
  5. Basically what people have said so far; sound is actually kinetic energy, vibrations in the air transmitted to little bones in your ear which vibrate and your brain will interpret this as sound. thick iron in 2 turbos will absorb some of that energy and to spin the turbine so there will be less avaliable for 'sound'; comes from the basic theory that energy is never lost, simply transformed into another form.
  6. thanks for the replies guys, my mates been telling me the same thing about the graphics. ps: who's hanging for left for dead 2?
  7. Actually on saturday night i had a girl flash me her tits as i drove by lolz. well im going for a drive now.
  8. After installing my HKS evc that has the filters, i woudl say they are definitely nessasary as over a period of 7months they have accumulated a small amount of oil which can possibly throw off accurate boost readings inhibiting proper/optimal boost control. I would really like to find out where they are sold and replace them every year or so.
  9. well at least the green with hide the phlegm and vomit stains from people walking by
  10. Gotta hand it to ford with this engine; forget the NA....the turbo 4.0litre is incredible (dosent sound to bad either) also what about the rb30e; dont know much about it but it paved the way for the hybrid 25/26.....nothing says kool when you have a 40k engine with a bottom end from pick-a-part campbellfield uleh
  11. congrats man on the writeup, alot of people will be grateful and will definitely be stickied! do i smell some charged lines in the near future
  12. Hey guys, I have a ps3 n xbox360 and as most games come on both consoles i jst wanna know which one should i opt for? So far most games ive bought are on ps3 cos of the bluray compatibility or am i going about it wrong? Which is a better console related to processing speed/graphics etc thanks -Johnny
  13. always start with support mods first like a nice 040 fuel pump, splitfire coilpacks, stock turbo manifold, intercooler, dump pipe/front etc a high flow turbo would be your best bet or something by garrett; as its an NA you want a slightly larger turbine for less thermal stress when boost comes on. injectors from a gts-t or gtt or spring for 550cc's then save money for when you bolt on everything and tune it. depending on how you drive im sure your engine will be great for many thousand kms's; ask a bloke on this forum who has done the gts-4 turbo conversion and is wrapped with his car.
  14. the r36 is already out but its made by vw lolz
  15. Amazing write up mate, loved reading it and congrats on the power increase - glad you went for less boost on ur stock motor as if you went a tad more, perhaps you would only enjoy it for a week before its back in the shop again. how are the turbos for lag? obviously not the same as stock but daily driviable?
  16. Hi mate, i did have an r33 gts-4 about 5 years ago and wantd to go for the turbo route; at the time jap car mods were expensive so i did get a large quote for the conversion cost.. dont remember completely but it was 16k including engine rebuild/high flow and motec + all support mods if it was my project id do it in stages; money an issue???
  17. +1 one of the best examples ive seen! saw those plates on an r31 at one stage, u live round mill park/epping?
  18. The interior in the s2 is alot better, you really appreciate the dark grey/black over the light grey. Your on the ball there, the new GTR is a different class of driver; closer to the m3 and rs4 +1 on the r34 gtr depreciation, im tryna keep mine in perfect nick; only driven once a week, never hit anywhere close to redline and serviced every 2000kms lolz then again depreciation happens regardless of what you buy (in lue property), its something that happens everyday and ive come to terms with it so my stress level can go down a notch.
  19. yeah BMW are still on par, my e46 2.5l is so smooth with torque and the rb26 is one of the best engines areound....not to mention the 2jz. any other good straight 6's?......anyone?
  20. Mine is an 02 Vs2 with low kmw and i paid 65k for it; today you could get one, depending on interior and exterior paint condition for about 60k or 70k for a near perfect one. seems the new r35 gtr isnt affecting the r34 too much
  21. Jst a +1 for NA skylines and reliability; mine was abused daily for 30,000kms with servicing done rarely (prob 3times) and it never broke down or missed a beat, ran smooth till the day it was gone.
  22. Come with a tyre? where in melb are you?
  23. search paintprotectiondirect.com i think the site is basically the glass plexin stuff you are talking about in kit form for diy or they have some pro places around.

    Top Gear Oz

+1 for bad show, only good part was the 370z review.
  25. The getrag box is such a nice box, u wouldnt want to change it; the manual adds to the feel of driving a gtr. when i bought my r34 gtr, i couldnt drive manual, i jst bought it and took it out at night to teach myself; with a good twin plate clutch its not hard to drive everyday.
