Which part? The piping was quite reasonable. The v cam was $4,400 delivered and came with a free exhaust cam which I sold for $400. $4,000 for v cam which isn't much more than the otomoto VCT kit.
I realise that. But there was other aspects of it that were mad aswell.
Step 2. But i want to try and make it work with my current cam, not the nugget 8.7 mm lift.
At 3,200 RPM, Pete made an extra 260 nm between no v cam and v cam.
Lock wired is a bit too much. I really can't see these blowing off with 30-35 psi considering they're rated to 150-200 psi or something. If they do then there would be another issue like a busted engine mount.
Adel Wiggins clamps. They're actually aviation gear but can be used in automotive applications also. They're a bit of a homo colour but they're that colour so plane guys can see them.Make sure you're sitting down when you see the price.
What's wrong with alloy piping? Does he want to use stainless?
Yeah, Wiggins. 5 in total. Blown cooler pipes are no longer (unless the plenum one pops). No more taking front bars off!Thinking about painting the airbox black, cutting a hole in the top of it and using the factory airbox snorkel to feed the box too. Can't hurt!?
Few pics from today. They put a bung for an aftermarket air temp sensor just before it pops back into the engine bay. Do away with the "engine bay sensor" on the plenum. Pipes from snail to the guard and guard to plenum will be black. No clamp on the plenum, it would have meant it had to be removed, no thanks!
