  1. Any extra info on what the tyres are exactly? Thanks, Mike.
  2. Something of interest that others may be able to answer, can Time Attack cars such as the Hi Octane beast run anti-lag (i.e. Gr. A) during racing, assuming a capable ecu? That might be a really stupid question. Also, by the looks of it the exhausts merge to a single pipe exiting out the side. Would there not be any advantage in having two separate pipes out of the back of each turbo, or would that be "clutching straws" in terms of any additional performance. Sorry if I am way off.
  3. Drove past Nisswreck once and saw it out the front, stunning example of a restoration/rebuild. What I hope to achieve, good work! Mike
  4. I wish... I asked the question to see if it would be worth buying the R35 calipers themselves along with some Endless adaptors and some aftermarket discs. That would be a sweet stopping package for a 200kg lighter older series GTR (like mine). Sorry, off topic.
  5. LSX-438, happen to know what a set of brakes are? Endless do a sweet adaptor kit to fit them to an older series R32/33/34 GTR.
  6. Dude, everyone knows that (it was only a matter of time before someone jumped on it), it is just a rough comparison for people to see, we are on a forum not in a laboratory. Keep the comparisons going, can you put "twoogle" on there, I am sure Paul won't mind. Mike
  7. ZINGGGGGGG!!!!!! No need to get offensive because someone doesn't share the same opinion as you. People get old, as does technology. The new GTR has had such a long time to develop into something that is really ahead of the times (much like the original R32 GTR). Anyway, I love my out of date R33 GTR, and if I had $150k I would buy a new GTR (and keep the old girl too). Mike
  8. Sorry this might be off topic but if you wouldnt mind letting me know what you had done in rebuilding the A-LSD, you can PM if you like. I think Just Jap have the Quaife LSD's for sale, but I would buy direct from them if you can (make sure you get that warranty). Mike
  9. Alright, update time! Where is closed loop boost control farkin'
  10. I would like to know if they actually make a difference to rigidity, and worth the expense TBH.
  11. Great build so far! I am interested in how you go with the rear diff, I was hell-bent on getting rid of my A-LSD on my Vspec but recently I have changed my opinion on it. I got in contact with a guy from the States and he uses it on track spec GTR's over there. There is a sticky in the Drivetrain section on A-LSD maintenance which I am keen to try. If I were going to get a LSD from the front I would look at the Quaife option. Anyway, good luck. Mike
  12. They are great to buy from, good customer support.
  13. Bump for huli... nice guy, buy his stuff! Thanks mate.
  14. GM are behind hence why they are in position they are in, trying to keep their head above water. If you looked at their financial position years ago they were miles ahead of Ford, however Ford had a lot more money tied up in R&D which may have helped... Back OT, it sucks everyone is going the V mainly due to reasons of packaging especially in performance cars, I think it is a poor compromise. I think BMW dropping the inline especially in their performance models is a real shame! F**k it lets just all buy a TVR Tuscan S!!!!!
  15. Two fat asses in red hot pants...
  16. If it was billet I would have thought material alone would be over $5k, considering it is cast, the initial tooling cost would be huge. Then machining, insertion of sleeves, etc. Not f**king cheap would probably be more accurate!
  17. You are spot on, it is just dead cool!!! I work in an engineering office and when I go visit suppliers and machinist workshops I can watch the CNC machines go on for ages. Especially when they are machining alloy and rippin' into it with big cutters really fast! I think it needs to be done, maybe just hand a machinist a N1 RB26 block and say "make one out of alloy". Material along would be at least $5-7k.
  18. Make it a RB26 block and I will start saving now
  19. Wow, that sounds pretty insane, with a Vipec V88 I would hope Paul!!! Possibly a stupid question... is it possible to manufacture a billet block with water jackets?
  20. No shit billet alloy block would be f**king sick, I think RIPS in NZ has hinted at billet alloy blocks before (I read is a thread somewhere on the UK forums).
  21. Interesting to note that the Mspeed R34 uses a standard sump, I have read it before and also these photos on their website may confirm it too. I am sure there would be oil mods probably the same suggested by Dirt and others.
