  1. Must say it sounds a unique problem! I don't know the answer either but if you replace the MAF with a different unit with different values you will need to retune the ecu which in your car is still, to my knowledge, impossible. If you are planning on any more mods some sort of piggyback such as e-manage would enable you to tune a bigger maf if that is going to fix your problem.
  2. Should be R33 fan? Would have thought there were heaps of second hand ones around.
  3. Chris and Chris I have sent you PMs. Yes I am still waiting for $120 for my IEBC but worse still his MO looks like a guy from SA who ripped me off for a substantially larger amount. Please Pm me any addresses bank details you have and if it looks like the same guy I will give you a contact for a cop in SA who is investigating him. PS if he really has that Stagea it should be possible to track him through motor registration either with the rego XJN 527 or possibly he has changed it to WGNGTR
  4. Only problem is it won't plug in but will work if you wire it in. I had an R32 ecu running my engine fine (piggybacked so that the original ecu could handle the auto and vct).
  5. It does now. Originally it showed two idiots dragging in a crowded street while a third idiot comes at right angles allegedly running a red light and takes them all out.
  6. 300kw is pretty good. Would be good to retune on the same dyno for an accurate picture of the effect of the new cams - more max power or different curve or both??!!
  7. Funny enough its one of the few car parts that doesn't have a part number on it. Colour is strange - artificial light. I have two of these - one from a silver car and one from my current green car and both ashtrays are the same silver/grey front[attachment =288132:DSC02151.JPG]
  8. So where can you buy programmable keys if you don't have a friend in Japan?
  9. Just a site I found on Google: http://www.metalcat.com.au/
  10. Well I guess you need a reducing T. Try a petshop that has piping for fish tank airpumps or a garden store that does irrigation systems or an engineering supplies store.
  11. No but this is the Stagea section - try posting here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...&s=&f=8
  12. The V-spec electronic lsd won't work anyway without the hydraulics and computer.
  13. No just normal diff oil. The limited slip takes place inside a sealed unit seperate from the c/p .
  14. Ask your supplier for a copy of their confirmed order. Ask for your money back if they cannot give a definite delivery date. There are a lot of things that Apexi don't make any more and your model PFC could be one of them.
  15. If the S1 ashtray is the same i have a silver one for sale. PM me or better still email if you want pictures. [email protected]
  16. The mods you plan are fine but note 1. You won't need a "full tune" which is just as well because there is no way of tuning your motor. 2. It won't go much faster until you up the boost to 10 -12 psi (cheap T as suggested - bypass the solenoid altogether don't stuff around with earthing it). 3. When you want to tune it a Nistune chip in a Z32 ecu or whatever it takes to retain your vct is the best and most cost efective way to go. 4. Spend some time reading on this website - there is a ton of information on how to make your car go and stop and handle better.
  17. Unless and until you get a bigger turbo I wouldn't bother. I was making 220kw with a smic on my S1 Stagea - upgraded to a S2 like yours and then to a Nismo. The only time there was any "heat soak" was during an extended dyno sesion when the fan was directed at my radiator and virtually no air through the side vent to my smic. Wait and see if it becomes a problem. By that time you might have decided that you want 260kw and then you'll have to get a bigger front mount than a small return flow type.
  18. Well done! No kits ever bolt on with no effort - there's always something even with the return pipe style. Good to see how you have overcome each "challenge"!! Mind you the fitting of a fmic is a good argument for getting a FF plenum - makes for a tidy engine bay and gives easy access to coil packs and plugs.
  19. And if you're intent on pulling the motor apart RB30 will work out much cheaper than any stroker kit.
  20. Here's how to: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ca...m-B-t73824.html
  21. ^^^ Like he says - I made 245awkw at 1 bar from my stock R33 turbo highflowed by GCG with more to come. R34 highflowed is good for up to 30 more kw.
  22. No need for a piggy back ecu on an R34 when Nistune for $350 or so will perform as well as a PFC. If you're going to buy a new turbo why bother with a GT 28 - go straight for the GT3076.
  23. Yep my car's dark green like yours (not so keen on the light green) got an R33GTR box and looking for some R33 or R34 GTR rims!
  24. Currently running Bilsteins with Tein springs -about 340 front 350 rear (sits a lot lower at rear with 4 wheels, a fullsized floorjack, tools and fuel drums). Have since got clear front indicators .
