  1. most the syns you can buy off the shelf are only group 3 or 4 at best, m5000 may be only semi-syn but the syn part is group 5 like the $120 motul stuff
  2. Seems pretty good, not quite as good and it won't be in for as long (5000 km changes I think) but great for the price. I think I'm on about 3000 kms now and it's not as noisy as nulon was
  3. if its built like any of the nissans i've had (s13, r31, r32, c34) the washer line runs down the passenger side of the car under the carpet i reckon that would be your best bet
  4. eucalyptus oil works well for removing the residue from old stickers and won't hurt your paint
  5. trident lists the 25 as 82 and the neo as 87
  6. you can't use a consult readout to set timing best bet is to use a short plug lead and pull the #1 coil off and extend it to put the timing light around
  7. i just ordered this today http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120704897237&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_1749wt_856 CHARGED said he ordered the same kit and it fitted up fine, the belt and pulleys are the same for all rb25's its the waterpump that varies and i think this waterpump is the slotted type (fits all models)
  8. my timing belt kit + waterpump is on the way - $260 all up for the US of A
  9. syn-x is still going well 100,000km service kit is on its way too ($260AUD from the USA) might refresh the syn-x when i do the timing belt
  10. or move to qld or tas and be rid of the silly mod laws
  11. did it go well?
  12. can you pm me with what you have please? my only working free copy (nissan data scan i think) won't work anymore
  13. been thinking about buying one for ages, they make another one with a memory card in it so it logs without a laptop then you dump the files i'm thinking about buying one to make into a temporary setup that can be whacked up the exhaust just to check whats going on (exhaust probe and 12v cigarette lighter plug)
  14. anyone tried the www.14point7.com kits? i'm thinking about maybe the diy kit, $99 for the controller, $50 for the o2 sensor and $10 for wiring (+post)
  15. i think chris means weird jap alarms
  16. saw the link in the m35 info page and changed the url to this http://model.auto-style.jp/c34stagia/ + https://www.japantodoor.com = looking at japantodoor its about $35 for 10kgs, not sure about charges once it gets here tho
  17. pretty sure its kg/mm (weight/displacement)
  18. go to autobarn and ask for some for a rav4 i think
  19. hey guys i've decided that i want an ae82 twincam rolla (4age) for a daily but its hard to track them down has anyone seen any for sale for a decent price? pm me if you do because my thread reply notifications don't work on here properly Thanks, Tom

  21. the lady's insurance should pay you out and you may be able to buy the car back buy it back for much less that you get back from them and sell the fruit off it (if it has fruit) you should be able to get some good money for the wreck but it could take a while to recoup all the money
  22. i don't think your odds are good mate it will probably have buckled the boot floor fold the rear seats down and pull the panels up off the floor i'm guessing that a new tailgate is going to be a few thousand from nissan (some insurance companies won't use parts from wreckers as most give lifetime guarantee on repairs)
  23. Bring on the rain! i fixed my leak - no more smelly interior for me
  24. Well i finally got motivated and found my leak, i'll do a walkthough for those of you with the same problem - its caused by some an old rubber seal that seals no more step 1 - remove your wipers, 1 x 14mm bolt on each wiper arm then wiggle (probably with the bonnet down and wipers up so the spring doesn't push anything step 2 - flick out the 3 plastic plugs recessed into the plastic panel under the wipers step 3 - pull the rubber seal off that runs across the back of the engine bay, tool of choice would be the needle nosed pliers with a bend in them as the rubber is held in with clips that can be pried off but can also be squeezed from underneath (that way they don't break) step 4 - pull the plastic panel out to reveal your wiper mechanism and the base of the windscreen, you can now access the offending part Here it is: pull it out and it doesn't look so good underneath the rubber has perished clean everything up and apply some gasket goo reinstall and reassemble and hope its all good I de-greased and wd40'd my wiper linkages, now my aircon smells like wd40 -> a word of warning if you are thinking about going nuts with the wd40
  25. I think i'm going to sell the stagea http://launceston.gumtree.com.au/c-Cars-Vehicles-Motorbikes-Parts-cars-Stagea-RS4S-Factory-Manual-will-swap-for-S15-W0QQAdIdZ264787873 Its been a great car and moved all my stuff interstate twice but now i've got a real house so i can leave all my stuff in one place over summer now
