  1. He guys, I have an R33 GTR fuel pump waiting to go in, look similar to this (R32) http://meggala.com/injectors/r32gtrfuelpump.jpg What's with the 'hat' on the top? Does it do anything or just install it and not worry about that bit? Thanks..Birnie
  2. User name PUSHEAD wrote a DIY thread on it somewhere. Actually, he made a web page. I've saved it to disk here so i do have all the info but try searching on him first
  3. FYI: GTR injectors don't fit the RB25DET rail. If you want GTR size (belive they are 444's ?) go the SR20DET JDM spec injectors which are suppossed to be 450cc (claimed 480) http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...146846&st=0
  4. Certainly does. Using a bleed valve or Electronic will get rid of the Dual Stage boost. Because either method completely by-passes the solenoid that controls it.
  5. Hi guys, Been searching and reading all sorts of threads on turbo water lines. (Myself i need em for the HKS 2535) But there really isn't anything in concrete on what you should get. "Just go to Pirtek, they'll sort you out" (i've read a few times) I went to Pirtek in Gosford, turbo in hand with a bit of old-sliced off Jap piping still intact on the turbo. Thought that'd be good for comparison. Asked for new water lines and he didn't sound to confident. He said the original stuff on the turbo wasn't the expensive silicon stuff which is upposed to be $150 a meter or so?? He sold me some hose for $15 which looks like it will fit but is 1.5x thicker than what's already on there. It looks double-re-enforced though which must be a good thing. I later found out most of you peeps are using the expensive silicon stuff for piece of mind. I don't mind forking out the $150 (rather not really but anyway...) but i want to get the right stuff 1st go ! 1) Anyone know what length i will need for the 2 x water lines only? (1 meter ok?) And what thickness i need? Maybe even a part number? 2) Do i need the expensive stuff or just heat wrap the El Cheapo tubes I already have. (They are good quality tubes, just not rated as high on the temp scale) If i sort this shit of a subject out, i'll post up some pics before i put it on the car for everyone. Showing lengths etc. Thanks guys. :sorcerer:
  6. Wouldn't mind setting up a small water catchment for our townhouse and everything available is too big. Saw these on ebay and thought it might be OK. Anyone got one lying around from work or something ? Thanks..
  7. This should answer your question : http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...c=40346&hl=
  8. oops, wasn't actually thinking of the direction as i don't own that brand...just trying to help with the location. Anyway, block that hose with a screw is fine as long as it's air tight. I actually used fibreglass re-inforced sticky tape. Hasn't let me down yet
  9. More like this.......
  10. ..and the Just Jap kit is fine
  11. For getting 'that' hole right, visit my thread i posted on thfirst page.....got to the 8th post, i have 6 pics there and look at the 3rd pic. Try and get that hole as low as possible without hitting the wider part of the frame by using my compass technique... ....also, to get the exact position of that hole, 1) i fixed the FMIC where i wanted it 2) attatched the pipe temporarily with the silicon hose (without bothering with the metal clips) 3) Used it like that as a compass, just like the highschool days, to get the approx x/y co-ordinate. 4) used a piece of chalk and drew a free-hand circle around the pipe giving a spot to aim for. 5) used the tiniest drill bit i had and drilled thru the centre of the chalked circel and made sure i was high/low enough looking from inside the engine bay at the hole just made.
  12. In one of those old vids : TV crew are chatting to drivers in their cars waiting to race and one says (forget his name) "The GTR isn't a touring car, it's a bloody race car!" ..and he really had the shits.
  13. I went thru the same process a few years ago. From memory, the AFR wire that has been talked about, and cut in half, is joind with male/female plugs too so it's just a matter of unplugging from the unit and plugging the wire back together again. Easy!
  14. I've just developed a rapid ticking noise, is that similar to what you guys had? Engine and everything seems to be fine. Been driving like this for a week now with no probs but want it sorted

  17. Can someone tell me what type of actuator is in this pic? Doesn't seem to tbe the R33 on so I'm hoping it's the R32 ? http://people.aapt.net.au/~jason1973/Skyline/HKS2535%201.JPG Thanks
  18. Better overall pic here : http://page16.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/u8054704
  19. If you guys are still reading.... Getting close to putting it on. Got hold of the right-angle pipe coming off the turbo which i think is the last bit i needed. Braided oil lines.. i know these get mentioned for after market turbos. Mine came with 1 and was wondering if that's all i need...ie, do i re-use all the other lines from my original R33 turbo? Pic of turbo here.. http://people.aapt.net.au/~jason1973/Skyline/HKS2535%201.JPG Thanks guys.. Birnie
  20. As stated above. I bought 2 sets of 4, 1 new batch and one 2nd hand batch in great condition and only need 6. ...So 2 x 2nd hand ones for sale (other sets of 4 are quite common on Silvia sites and Boost Cruisin etc) http://people.aapt.net.au/~jason1973/Ebay/s15%201.jpg http://people.aapt.net.au/~jason1973/Ebay/s15%202.jpg Both in good condition. I'm on 240rwkws so far with a HKS2535, hit around 75% duty-cycle with 17psi. $125 delivered ($120 pickup)
  21. Well as good as Matt is (and i believe he is) there's a few from there in this thread, including myself, that are getting high knock. I've seen up to 150ish, always in the same load area but around 40-50 is average for me. I hate it but Matt pointed it out to me when it was tuned and pretty much shrugged it off as if it was nothing....which it might be...but still, it drives me nuts!
  22. Depending on where you went thru your washer bottle.... Other kits were meant to go thru there and were supplied with half size/replacement bottles. (i think from memory) That might do the trick
  23. If you're in no hurry, go nengun. $370-ish delivered
  24. Just checked the nengun site... Looks as if R33 GTSt model is 415-A001 R34 GTT is 415-A013 But for that price, i reckon it would go quick in the for sale section !
  25. ..and i made sure everything was close to lining up way before any cutting was made...
