  1. This is too easy in the US...... Add a boost tee and CAI and run it up on a Dyno jet Dyno 😂 Gtx3071 internal gate, plazmaman Intercooler kit, 1000cc top feed injector kit, aero motive stealth fuel pump, link g4 plugin ecu, 3inch exhaust. Factory airbox with a 3inch pipe to turbo. Plan for a gasket kit and clutch. Leaves plenty of room for more power later. There is almost 20years of information on this site, easy to find information with a Google search.
  2. Great progress, get that Wideband done and start tuning. Worth the effort for a neat install. Going to be good all round street car.
  3. PM me the tune file and a pc log (all channels logged) of it doing it.
  4. sounds more like a MAP limiter in ecu and open loop boost control doesn't have temp correction. What ecu is in the car? can you log the issue?
  5. just go drive, no need for fancy things with drifting. Just go have fun. Just grab a few sets of standard wheels, cheaper that way as you will bust a few hitting curbs, ripple strips and other car.
  6. Made a heap of progress today and got the car running again. Nz wiring trigger kit was easy to fit and after a few trial and error with settings got it fired up, trigger scope is stable and revs cleanly. Fitted a new aeroflow fuel reg too so pressure is at 45psi base now. Got the realdash app working with the ecu, currently just setup off the tuning port but have a CAN to USB adapter so I can display some more stuff and switch boost by CAN. VID_20210323_163255.mp4 Found a wheel bearing had packed it in so now waiting for that to arrive before back to Dyno and roady Friday atm.
  7. a bit of googling some old style stuff came up do luck or maybe a trial kit. Cool to see kits like this from the late 90s-00s
  8. You need to remove the top half of the intake manifold to fit the rail and injectors on then reinstall the plenum. Yes it's "bolt on" but there will still things that have to be modified.
  9. You will need an aftermarket fuel reg (gfb, turbosmart, aeroflow. What suits your budget) and would recommend a walbro 460l pump just to future proof the setup. Ensure you do a new relay and wiring of correct size for the fuel pump.
  10. I think the old gt3076 will need an upgrade first. Once I've got these things sorted will get it on the corn juice and send it to make a decent number.
  11. It's down from the last one I remember from years ago. Wouldn't mind doing a leak down test too if I can borrow one. Ordered trigger kit and will be installing new fuel pump and reg tonight. Just going to do these and see how it goes.
  12. Good to hear been wanting one for a while but never had problems with the old ecu setup. Was bored so fitted Ac belt and new tensioner so just need to add some gas. And........ Pulled plugs and compression check. Plugs good, comp meh (used 2 gauges) also thought I fixed an oil leak from cam cover but looks to be coming from between the head and block
  13. Yeah, will be going the nz wiring trigger kit as seems to be best bang for buck and is plug n play.
  14. So....... Dyno didn't go as planned. Didn't make power it should have. Looks like having fuel pressure and trigger issue. Also forgot to turn off vtc so which caused a few small problems that I didn't realise until I talked with a mate. Going to order trigger kit and upgrade fuel reg before heading to rockynats as would be good to make decent power again.
  15. change all Oils & filters, check coolant and make sure its bled properly, spark plugs, brake fluid & check pads, inspect hoses and belts. Windscreen wipers too I drove my HG gts from Adelaide to Townsville after sitting in a shed for 22years just did the above and had no major dramas.......
  16. who is tuning & installing it? Go with what ever the tuner recommends. Personally Link G4+/x is my go to as have most experience with the software. They do a plugin for r33 and heaps of safety features if required will throw made flames on gear shifts & limiter
  17. Got the Aircon lines in with new o-rings and drier, just need to wire the plug to compressor and gas it up. Booked a few hours of dyno hire Tuesday so be good to have it running and ready for street driving again. Took the 370z out to first event at new driveIT facility. Went pretty good and fastest car on street tyres. It goes pretty well but definitely need decent tyres to catch the faster guys. Overall impressed for a stock car and surprised a few people but if I was tracking it often a manual would be a lot better.
  18. Should do a build thread would love to see the rest of the car if engine bay and brake setup is that neat. Also great results on Dyno, how is the car to drive with the 6 speed?
  19. That's a great looking engine bay
  20. Get that shed sorted and will make working on the car much better. Have you found a car yet?
  21. @ActionDanhow is your donmegaspec Sr going? Hoping to have mine in and tuned late April for its first event.
  22. Yeah no point taking it out unless a you are going to have a crack at winning a state level event in a purpose built race car. Let me know if you want any info, I've got a firm price I'll let it go for pretty much roadworthy but byo rwc.
  23. Minimum requirement for a street car for me now. I won't be holding onto this much longer hopefully it's going up for sale at rockynats. The 370 does everything this can do so much better I think.
  24. Slowly been chipping away at little bits everyday at the moment. Flushed cooling system again as all gunk had turned coolant brown after a few heat cycles, refilled with Demineralised water and penrite red coolant but looks like it needs one more decent flush which I'll do after Dyno tune on the 16th. Finally got the ethrottle 100% sorted with some help from Link, I didn't realise idle control table was an adder for ethrottle map so now cold/hot starts and idle is perfect. Spent this afternoon sorting lines for the air conditioning. Gave them a quick clean. Required some light bending to use a mix of r33 and s13. Will replace the drier and o-rings before gassing it. Need to look at the climate control unit as stuck on heat and floor vents which is annoying.
  25. Dry sump and Samsonas would have prevented that failure 😜 First proper service in almost 4 years, going to be using this Penn grade oil as a local parts shop is now sponsoring the race car for the year with free oils and filters for the cars.
