  1. I sort of agree Chuckie, but faark mate, 40 pages? Maybe a massive clean up is needed, cull out all the chitchat. Or edit so the factual stuff is in the first page. Just a thought.
  2. Nice job, cool to see big dollar cars on the street . Good thing that Cayenne sounded nice, cos it sure ain't pretty .
  3. This is a bit of a sore point among M35 owners. Both Bis-e-bee & Jetwreck spent good money and a large amount of time procuring spare ECU's, and were given various assurances about the ability to re-flash their ECU's. After a huge amount of running around on their part, I believe Jetwreck's ECU has now disappeared, presumably, never to return. So he is out of pocket and no closer to the promised solution. It CAN be done; (Nismo, G-zone, Impul and one other do it) but no-one in Australia can do it (others know more of the technical issues than I do) apparently it is quite reistant to changes. There is no shortage of demand now, but most have given up hope of a reflash. Personally, I'm not really after much extra power, but I'd give my left nut for a linear, direct action throttle and slightly better fuel economy. If you feel like throwing your hat into the ring go for it! BTW wht510, I sat down & read your entire 1600 build thread the other night; Brilliant, just brilliant .
  4. +1. Reservoir to pump is low pressure, as is return line from rack.
  5. Nah mate, they're all sealed up, you'll be fine. Maybe factor in an oil change when you get back. Enjoy your trip, don't stress about the car .
  6. Awesome bit of legwork there, did you even try? GSL Rallysport have pads for your car. They are on SAU, in the trader section. Go there, ask them. Cheers, Dale
  7. All good , don't you like my name? Last time it was "Greenieo" Lol!
  8. Let me know if you want some measurements for setup, might save you some time .
  9. Yeah, must be time...
  10. Are they the Taleb tyres ones? I bought a set, finish was nice, but I ended up running at tap down them as the threads were fairly gritty. Check them before you fit them.
  11. A busy night in the garage tonight? Pics to follow I hope!
  12. Ring Shannons or justcar. I'd be expecting $1200- $1600. Your driving record will have the biggest bearing on cost obviously. Welcome to Stagea world!
  13. Is there a time to go with that pic, or are you just teasing?
  14. Yeah, generally a thicker rear sway bar will make the car more prone to oversteer. As it tends to take weight off the inside rear wheel, oversteer or wheelspin (with open centre diff) is the result. Definitely going too far in one direction or the other can raise issues.
  15. Maybe this is why I have an LSD ; due to the HICAS. With the 245's on mine, I can't really feel the HICAS at work, even when I step it out, but with std wheels & tyres it was quite disconcerting...
  16. +1. The filter will take at least 250ml of oil. Get the oil hot & it'll flow back to the pan quicker. Wait a few hours & check again.
  17. Lol, trying to be generous?
  18. A rear bar would likely solve most of the understeer bias the car displays under power.
  19. No, completely different chassis. Shares more in common with V35 & Z33.
  20. Are you still in contact with him? I'm sure we can get enough people together for another group buy.
  21. Fulcrum now own the Selby's name, I contacted them recently about our sway bars; 1; They are 27mm front (instead of 30mm) blade adj, 20mm rear (instead of 22mm) blade adj . 2; They now cost $457 (front) $418 (rear) 3; there is a 4-6 week turnaround on orders 4; After contacting Wholesale Suspension in Penrith, the price dropped to $360 (front) $340 (rear) due to the amount of business they do with Fulcrum. I would be leaning towards trying to find someone to re-make the original bars, this might be a more cost effective way to get what we want. I'm not against anyone making a buck, but surely we can do better...
  22. Excuse me, I think I need to take a private moment, nnngggh! HOT!
  23. The only problem I have with that bar, is how far forward it sits below the grille. The std one drops away straight down, that one juts out like Michael Schumachers chin, it's like a shelf on the front! If not for that it would probably be residing on my car already... Plenty of grille space for coolers everywhere.
  24. These are my favourite tyre EVER. Also if you're after something a bit wider than the 235's you might want to look at 245/45/18 (what I run, with only 3% speedo error) or 245/40/18, these are fitted to VE Commodore and current Falcon 18's respectively. These are fairly common now, & are quite affordable. Also, the load ratings are fine for the Stagea.
