  1. Iain did say that it made a difference. Not as significant as the front brace; but it doesn't deal with the same kind of loading either, but he felt it was worthwhile. I'm getting one.
  2. Good luck, hope all goes well, and you eat some Wrexies; you should have fun. I had a '97 GSXR750 (first of the fuel injected ones); loved that bike. The K6 Thou is a hell of a thing though, and the Quickshifter is brilliant. Over the crest at the end of the straight at PI at 275km/h (admittedly on the limiter) in FOURTH gear. You know you're alive then.
  3. Call the place I told you about, they're not in the business of "ripping people off"; is he supposed to fit your shocks for nothing? Do you seriously have to be spoon fed every step of the way? It's only help, if you act on the information YOU ask for.
  4. Maybe if you'd washed it?
  5. Lol, no worries, didn't know you rode mate; a bit different to the whale. Lol @ butt dyno, can't argue with another 40 arsepowers! I think mine only has about 40hp ATM... When are you at PI?
  6. Lol, yeah I know... Bit of a bugger about the bolt, let me know if you need a hand sorting it out. Did it make the difference you were hoping for? If you'd smashed the front bar; you could've had a matching pair... Bedded in a new set of Remsa pads from GSL Rallysport yesterday; if you're in the market for some performance pads, these are well worth looking at! Oh; my turbo went out with a whimper today, here's hoping John at Precision finishes the new one early next week. Looks like I'm on the bike for the next little bit (cue some rainy weather). On the upside my new Quickshifter (on the bike) is finally working properly!
  7. Did they not have clips on the inner edge to hold them in place? I used these when I fitted mine; no way they would be able to fall off. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/4mm-Snap-Push-Rivets-pack-10-/300395677164?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item45f0fa45ec
  8. Make the owner do all the work, while you drink the beer?
  9. 245/45/18" reduces the speedo error from almost 10% to around 3% on an RS/RX. AR-X is is different again. But they will be more expensive than 245/40/18's A bit more sidewall gives a slightly better ride, and fill the arches well if your ride height is right.
  10. It was damn good; especially seeing a snaking line of Camry's & Volvo's clogging up roadways, & driving through the bends.
  11. I hope so, if Craig is still speaking to me after the 11ty billion phone calls in the last week or so... Fitted that insert yet?
  12. Lol, I saw it about a week or so ago, and promptly forgot about it. I actually live just up the Highway from Springwood HiFi, do you spend much time around the area?
  13. http://www.gktech.com.au/product_detail.asp?id=5114-25mm
  14. Feel free to come on over and help with mine; I'll stand back and take the pics... I wouldn't want to get in the way.
  15. I believe it's 66.1mm.
  16. You might as well; it can't hurt to have one. Maybe put it up on the "Awesome" forum too, Iain would be happy to have it there; that's the best spot for "How to's" IMO.
  17. Actually, most of the off the shelf spacers will have both hub centering bore/rings the same size. If you go different hub bore size on new wheels; it's normally up to you. The thinnest custom spacer I've ever machined for a Nissan with hub centering rings on the outside, and matching bores on the inside is 8mm; anything below that, and the centering ring on the outside has no material behind it. I've never seen an off the shelf spacer with centering bore/rings thinner than 10mm, so Rafael should be ok.
  18. Spotted a red C34 in a local car yard with M35 17's on it; looked better than expected with the rims. Auto, straight, nice paint; only $9900.
  19. Josh, the postage on this will be around $20 even with registered delivery & tracking. It only weighs around 1kg, and it's about 550mm long, so it could easily go in a cardboard tube or padded bag. My braces are 800mm long and weigh around 1kg, and virtually all are less than $20; unless they go to WA.
  20. I will be, but I've got a bit on my plate at the moment.
  21. Lol, nothing wrong with the way yours goes Gavin. Feel free to make a donation to assuage your guilt; I take all major cards & cash...
  22. Thanks for getting this organised! I'm in mate; payment details.
  23. Good luck with the search; hopefully you can find what you want.
  24. Went out to get in the car this morning and had a minor heart attack! Around the inner circumference of the left front wheel is a fine coating of oil that lines up with the brake rotor! I automatically assumed it was brake fluid that has leaked between the two mating surfaces of the caliper, and been flung around inside the rim. Pulled wheel off, doesn't smell like brake fluid; washed wheel, no paint damage. Checked caliper, no apparent leaks, but two fine lines up the back of the caliper of oily liquid that line up with the inner edges of the rotor venting. Hmmm, WTF? Worked it out; it's cutting fluid from when the rotors were slotted by the brake specialist! They had a light coating on the rotor faces that I wiped down with wax & grease remover before fitting; but obviously some has run into the venting, and been flung out during the drive home...
