  1. Shannons; both cars and house/contents. Bike is with insure my ride.
  2. I'm sure there's some benefit in undercar bracing for the C34; but I don't have one to evaluate or measure off, so that makes it difficult for me. I know there were guys using R33 GTR undercar bracing on Stageas while back; it might be worth looking down that route? I elected to use steel rather than alloy, because it's definitely my favoured medium; I know I can get excellent strength and good quality welds. Whereas with alloy on a structural member; I'd like to be heat treating them after welding, and that would make them stupidly expensive. Also, on the brace I'm making, due to the thickness of the alloy required to be strong enough; my thin wall CrMo tube with steel ends is basically the same weight; possibly even lighter. You could virtually jack the car off it; the stuff is so rigid. I wouldn't bet on the same for the alloy one. As Iain has said; tying together the radius rod mounts could definitely pay dividends, and it is a very common mod.
  3. Fastest groceries, and kid pickup!
  4. Bang on Alex. It blows out your stopping distances by heaps too, and that hurts you when you can least afford. A mid corner bump on a wet road could unload the rear suspension and have you firing backwards across a lane of traffic with absolutely no warning; not worth it.
  5. Ahh, your old nemesis?
  6. First NM35 in the 12's? Nice work, congratulations. Can't wait to see what it will do if you can stall it up on the line.
  7. Just ring a few suspension suppliers and get some quotes on budget oriented shocks. You could probably get a pair of cheapies for less than $300. Even a set of Monroes would be better than stuffed originals. Will you be changing them yourself? Are you hoping they'll somehow get better if you ignore the fact that they're stuffed? The problems that occur with worn out shocks are; shit handling, poor grip, and extreme danger to other people when you plow into them in your out of control car. So yeah; nothing too serious. Sort it out, or don't drive a car. Also; maybe an idea of where you live, might be able to suggest some places to go.
  8. How long is it since you did a set of plugs on it?
  9. As long as they're all there, and you only need fresh rotors and pads go for it.
  10. The first one I saw was in the Dark Grey metallic; I reckon that's the pick of the colours.
  11. Your search for the term stagea xenon globes returned 15 results
  12. That's great to hear Terry! Looking forward to reading it!
  13. Yep mate; got it on the 2nd of June.
  14. I'm assuming they're R34 GT-t Sumitomo's
  15. Wrong Coolant eh? What a coincidence...
  16. Not sure if anyone is interested; I have a pair of Cad plated steel R32 GTS-t caliper offset brackets to suit 350Z rotors; High tensile bolts and all mounting hardware. I bought them to do an upgrade on my Stagea; but ended up going R34 GT-t 310mm; so I don't need these. Paid $100 from the US, but I was hoping to get around $60 (plus postage) they are unused; only trial fitted to a caliper to check clearances. Feel free to PM if you'd like some pics.
  17. Maybe you could alert them to the dissatisfaction being aired on the forum at the moment; it appears rb26stagea's experience isn't an isolated incident. If senior management know what's happening, perhaps they might adjust their warranty attitude. Eventually people vote with their feet; regardless of a manufacturers motorsport heritage.
  18. Depends; are all the clips shims & pins in place; any pads, what about the mounting bolts? What kind of condition are the dust boots in? Don't forget; you'll need a set of rotors, and ideally a fresh set of pads to go with them. For missing shims; add $30 per caliper; new pads; $90 for decent ones; Rebuild kits $30-$50 per caliper. Rotors are $250ish a pair to start. It all adds up if you buy the wrong set. If you're patient; sets of complete calipers with all pins, shims, bolts & pads AND serviceable rotors come up around $300-$350.
  19. Well, as long as they're looking after loyal enthusiasts...
  20. Good luck with it; hopefully they can resolve the issue. Might be a bit harder to fob you off when you're in front of them.
  21. Lol, he's moved on to doing oil changes on mum's car. I can ask him if he'll do yours, but he's pretty busy... I'm sending them in a cardboard tube actually; so Auspost can't whang them up before you receive it.
  22. The Repco kit uses a PWR core, doesn't it?
