  1. How do you find the A1rm's as a day to day proposition? Not too tough on rotors; noise?
  2. Ok guys; material for the next round of braces has arrived and I'm looking to start producing again next week. I have a few PM's from people who wanted in for the next run, so if you're still interested; could you please confirm with me; and I can send payment details out to you. Thanks for your patience guys.
  3. A little G clamp can help with pushing back pistons; just remember to only remove one caliper at at time to push them back. I don't generally bleed after changing pads; but if you can't remember when the last time it was done; it's probably time. Those wheels actually don't look too bad, but the +45 offset is woeful; you want to be aiming around +30 or +20offset in an 18x8". Maybe have a look at Varrstoen if you're keen for BBS style in decent width/offset? I've been out of action this week due to a nasty case of man flu; but my latest lot of CrMo tubing has turned up, so in a week to a week and a half; I should have some ready to go out. I have a couple prepaid, and they will be getting priority. It's probably time to bump the thread, and start working out how many I need to make.
  4. It's bit sad really; I wasn't going to say anything, but there wasn't just an isolated incident within the forum. And the kicker is; they really rely on their race reputation to sell their gear, I can't help thinking they don't give Stone Bros the bums rush... I'm not one to start bashing unnecessarily, but I thought my mate had just copped the rough end of the pineapple. Seems not.
  5. That's cool man, gotta start somewhere! Stay safe; ride like everyone is out to kill you, mostly because they are. If you're ever down the mountains on the beast; hit me up, I don't need an excuse to ride.
  6. A friend who runs a performance workshop, had PWR custom make a radiator for a 1UZFE into Hilux conversion; the radiator fell to pieces after only about 8 months. When he spoke to them regarding warranty; the first question was "Were you using Green or Red coolant?" he told them he'd used green coolant as per toyota spec. "Oh no; you have to use Red coolant!" was the reply; "it states that on your invoice" He faxed them a copy of the invoice; which of course had no such direction on it. I believe it was a loaded question; it wouldn't matter what he had said, they would've just said he should've used the other type. We had also checked at the time that there were no stray currents; to cause electrolysis, nothing there. Flat out refused warranty; even though the basis of their denial was not founded in any kind of fact. He now uses Aussie Desert Coolers for all his custom work; apparently they are a bit gruff to deal with over the phone to begin with, but their work is top notch. He is still using green coolant (at ADC recommendation) rad is still top notch.
  7. Noice! With a pipe they actually don't sound too bad. Your first bike?
  8. Figured as much; no way Stagea owners are a stupid as commodore owners. Do the C34's have tie down points in the load area like the NM35's?
  9. I think you'll find they look quite awesome. Get some pics up; stat.
  10. Mate; it's pretty straightforward, if you're unsure, take a few pics before you pull everything apart and above all TAKE YOUR TIME. RDA rotors are fine; I reckon the Remsa pads sold by GSL Rallysport (forum trader) are great value with an excellent heat range, although they are a little dusty. Still, I'd rather have brakes that work than clean wheels. GSL are great to deal with; I've ordered pads in the morning, and received them on my doorstep the next morning; from QLD to Blue Mountains NSW! Seriously quick service!
  11. Me too; it made me sad. A mate works for Bing Lee as a warehouse manager; he has about 11ty billion stories just like these. $50 bucks for next day delivery; or a smashed window and a rooted brand new TV. People are stupid. Wait; you have a computer in the kitchen?
  12. Man, I hope that's not the case. I actually watched a commodore wagon driving droid do this at Bunnings with a ladder. After trying to gently close the tailgate unsuccessfully about 8 times; he cracked the shits and slammed it, which promptly shattered the glass. Apparently a giant UNIT sticker has no load bearing ability...
  13. Spotted Terry's N1 GTR on the GWH this afternoon; looks so mean. Very nice. Also saw a white R35 GTR with black rims & a vocal exhaust at Glenbrook pulling out on to the highway. A good day.
  14. Sooo, what does a new rear screen cost?
  15. Yeah, weight of the Stagea is probably similar to a V6 Holden; the torque from a NA RB25 however, no where near similar. You'll be giving the clutch a hiding just to get it moving. RB25/30 with a turbo? Now you're talking.
  16. So 750kg of trailer, and 1200kg of car; how early will you be leaving for an event? Any hills along the way? Not my pick for a tow car; that's for sure.
  17. Silver NM35 in Werrington this arvo; roof racks loaded with ladders etc.
  18. In the words of Jamie Hyneman (Mythbusters); "With enough lubrication; anything is possible!"
  19. Yep definitely; but they don't use bone jarring hard grades of Polyurethane in the Whiteline ones. I'll PM you tonight.
  20. Just remember; anything you put in your washer bottle will end up on your paint. I don't wash my car with Windex.
  21. I've been looking at these Bushes and the W92447 kit is recommended for R32 GTR/GT4, R33GTR and R34 GTR Link; http://www.whiteline...&sans_vehicle=1 I can do them for $170 a set. Postage to pretty much anywhere in Australia; won't go over about $10 As Duncan has intimated; The gap is indeed set by how far up the bush sits in the subframe, and also gives an idea of the optimum penetration of the bush. It can also influence the centre hole offset; but generally in a good way. I can has Double Entendré?
  22. Nice work mate; got to be happy when your engineering nets a good result. I would like to see this get off the ground; it would be worthwhile for no other reason than simplifying the cooling system bleed procedure. If it improves cooling system efficiency; even better.
  23. Saw your pics Nick; you must've been pissed to find whatever that thing was, that was masquerading as a Heavy Duty Clutch! I'm assuming that was a workshop job? Good to see you've got what you paid for this time.
  24. JD cans eh? I'll be there in an hour.
  25. +1 for Informeter.
