  1. Yeah, I know; I wasn't involved at that stage, but it has very stiff engine mounts, they're based on a 4WD leaf spring shackle bush in a custom mount. The front has been modified from a transverse leaf spring , to coilover struts with big brakes, and BIG swaybars front & rear; but I don't plan to go anywhere near it when it's finished. It's going to be deadly.
  2. The Corolla is nearly finished; most of what I've been doing is modifying pipework to run a full plumb back blowoff valve setup (engineering requirement), and mounting an airbox under the passengers side front guard; as there's no room in the engine bay for anything at all. Some pics of the KE10;
  3. Lol, AND I've been working for my Ceramic Coating mate in his workshop doing some performance fabrication; currently stuffing a 4AGE Turbo into a KE10 Corolla, and just about to start a 20 valve into a Sunbeam Alpine...
  4. Lol, I'm a freaking bludger; all I do is sleep & whinge... We can have a look on Saturday mate, we just need to find how much room is needed from the back of the aperture. Might be able to knock up a trial & see what works.
  5. I have no sunroofs, no leather, no electric seats; it's a thong. I'm pretty sure sunroofs & leather push it up by around 100kg.
  6. The response is the killer with these, I drove an Evo 8 yesterday; I'd kill to have that kind of throttle response. Not so sure about the Police attention (or the woeful wing) though; I like my "invisible" wagon. 2tonnes? I weighbridged mine at 1680kg.
  7. ^^^^^This. The issue ends up being able to get enough stiffness when you applying the forces to the strut tower from so far back. All of the reading I've done into Double A arm suspensions, suggests that they don't benefit from strut braces in the same way that McPherson strut style set ups do. Because of the action of the suspension; the forces tend not to push the strut towers toward each other in the same way as a McPherson strut set up. Not saying that there isn't any benefit (there obviously is)just that the improvement is much less apparent. Also, I can't really see a way to do it without tagging back to the firewall; which I'm really lax to do. I don't imagine many people are going to want to drill holes in their firewall to fit a strut brace. Also the degree of complexity, and the number of parts; starts to push the price past what people are prepared to spend.
  8. The 35mm D bush Pedders is supplying is most likely a universal D bush, as there are only a couple of aftermarket bushes that will fit in the OEM D bracket. Superpro does a 33mm, I think. Are they supplying a D bracket as well?
  9. I'd like to think I've contributed more to the forum than just a single post advertising a bunch of products I make, with my business name as an avatar. Considering the only items I've actually made any money out of were my link mounts and these braces I'm manufacturing currently; I consider myself pretty small fry. But hey, that's just me...
  10. Was less pissing about than I was expecting actually; I had less trouble getting the pistons out of these than any caliper I've ever done. I chucked them on really quickly in the workshop today, to see what they look like; I'm dying to get them finished now! Pics once they're done.
  11. Sway Bar link?
  12. Hopefully they'll look even better once they've been coated. Getting a coat of deep black, and then a coat of 600deg clear to finish off. They bolt straight up to our hubs with the added bonus of M14 mounting bolts (as opposed to 12mm on R32 GTR & R33 GTSt). You need the matching 310mm x 30mm GTt rotors.
  13. Welcome to the forum; Don't you have to be a trader to sell parts? Perhaps you should contact a moderator to find out how you can contribute to the forum rather than just using it as a sales vehicle.
  14. Machined rear rotors and stripped & blasted R34 GTt calipers & rotors ready for coating & reassembly.
  15. Same; I'm out past the 'Riff too.
  16. Lol, I thought his was black? Yeah man, we go waaay back; I helped him build the church in his backyard, but we mostly just get blind & abuse female coppers. Good times... Idiots.
  17. Did you spot a Green XB coupe with a blower? Belongs to a mate of mine.
  18. Sorry mate, forgot about this one. It literally just wipes straight off. I always use kerosene to clean my chain, it doesn't damage the o-rings, and it's cheap. I just use a little butter container or similar, and a stiff bristle brush (toothbrush is a bit too small) to wet the chain, then leave it to soak in. Scrub it again and then use a small amount of aerosol chain cleaner to wash the excess kerosene off. It does make a bit of a mess, but I just lay a sheet of cardboard under the swingarm when I do it. Obviously you need a rear stand to support the bike.
  19. With the extra flow of this pump, does it bump up line pressure at all? What are you paying for one of these, and where's the best source?
  20. Ok, update. I've received some payments, so thanks very much to those of you who forwarded so quickly. I'm currently painting (and trying to dry in cold conditions ), so we should be on track for a mid week post run. This will hopefully see everyone braced up by the weekend, or very early next week. Thanks again for your support, and if anyone else would like one; I'm planning another run in around 2 weeks.
  21. Uh, Oh; waiting for Leon to see this...
  22. On my informeter, the intake temp is always at least 10 deg above ambient. Obviously it will be higher when sitting in traffic. Averages around 10 above when at steady cruise on the motorway.
  23. Yep, not fitted yet; being stripped, coated & rebuilt atm. Definitely one of the easiest bolt on upgrade without the expense of going Brembo. Look around, it might take a while, but they come up cheap from time to time.
