  1. You'd better get in touch with them, to let them know they need to update your stats with a f**k off big turbo!
  2. I punched mine in; and it doesn't specifically say that it has an LSD (which it does), but if you click on "Final Drive, Rear" it displays the exploded diagram of the Viscous LSD diff assy.
  3. And it's the SAME joke.
  4. Quoted again 'cos it looks hawt!
  5. My Brother cleans the banjo...
  6. I'm a bit sceptical about that; you risk actually stretching the bolts outside their optimum elastic deformation ability (how far they can stretch) and they can actually fatigue and loosen or break. The ability of the bolt to stretch at a certain torque setting is what allows the bolt to reliably clamp two surfaces against one another. If the bolts that were used in your car had already been stretched beyond their ability to recover; this could well be the reason the flywheel subsequently came loose. Re-using flywheel bolts that have been in an engine for 100 000km+ is pretty silly anyway; they do have a hard life, and they're not that expensive. If I remove a flywheel, I always buy a new set of bolts. It's cheap insurance in a performance application.
  7. Lol, of course dude! This is my brother & I playing outside our shack; I kick arse, but frankly he's a bit of a wanker... The banjo bolt has a 1mm hole in it to restrict the amount of oil going through the core of the turbo; as a BB core requires much less oil than a comparable plain bearing core. The 1mm hole is a potential failure point, as it can easily block with gunk if the car hasn't been regularly serviced. There's mixed opinion about whether it needs to be bigger, or whether it just needs to be cleaned out. IMO; the hole is unnecessarily small, and even though mine was absolutely perfect when removed, I've opened the hole up to 1.5 mm with absolutely no ill effects. I believe it's cheap insurance, but others don't. Either way; check it. A 17mm socket, a 12" extension bar and a ratchet will have it out in no time, using a spanner just makes life hard. When re-installing; pack the void in the back of the socket with some newspaper to stop the banjo from sinking to the back of the socket and wind it in by hand using the socket & extension bar only. You can also wrap a few turns of insulation tape around the hex of the bolt to hold it firmly in the socket as you line it up. Don't lose the compression washer from behind the oil line, or the one on the banjo. Nip it up, and start the engine; checking for leaks. Job done. Edit; Beat me to it Scotty.
  8. Just because the Throwout bearing is new, doesn't mean it's not stuffed. There may have been little or no grease in the bearing, and it is failing; certainly not the first time I've heard of a brand new bearing with no grease in it. Generally, a damaged thrust bearing will make more noise if you press lightly on the clutch pedal. If it's happening just as the clutch plate makes contact with the flywheel, the friction plate itself might be bent, not concentric etc. It won't fix itself if you leave it; I'd definitely be having a look in there before it does any unnecessary damage.
  9. Black rims with big arse Akebono brakes? Possibly Spoolin12.
  10. +11ty for banjo bolt; it's such a simple job, seriously takes no time to remove. Very cheap insurance. The other thing that no one has mentioned is the shift kit; which I'd have to say is one of the things I'm most happy with, and would be a benefit even on a dead stock car.
  11. Mate; it's not just about infant ism (whatever that is); it's about you. You joined this forum 11 days ago; but the forum members are the problem? People don't mind answering questions, but there is seriously so many threads just like yours. You don't think you're the first person to have these questions surely? Therefore; a bit of the onus is on you to use the search feature of the forum, have a bit of a look, if you need clarification; THEN ask a question. Forums aren't about wandering up, using the collective knowledge of a community, getting all your questions answered, then pissing off and getting on with your life. If you want to get something out of the forum; you need to demonstrate that YOU might have something to offer, otherwise you'll get much the same kind of response as you would if you wandered up to a group of people on the street. Have a good day.
  12. Best of luck with this; it's amazing that the councillors haven't strengthened their resolve given the harassment, they're normally the opposite of what you're seeing. A measured, mature approach, and visible presence in support will pay dividends; and the nutters will have to present a coherent argument in opposition if they hope to win. It sounds like their argument will fall apart under a small amount of pressure especially if they're already resorting to threats to public figures. I've been involved with local MTB riders for the last 2 years after ALL the local Downhill trails were closed due to a small but vocal minority who didn't want anyone in "Their" bushland. They got steamrolled in the final vote for a council maintained down hill area; their bullshit argument simply fell apart under scrutiny, and the final nail actually came from the Federal Govt. Enthusiast can beat the whingers, but you can't just leave it for "someone else" to sort out for you. Get involved.
  13. When the hell are you getting your new car? I'm tired of waiting...
  14. Nice one Rudi; nipping at Theo's heels there!
  15. Surely someone will bring a 260RS; the rear wing can double as a picnic table...
  16. Keen to hear a price on the cargo area mat Scotty!
  17. Obviously something sus going on in the shed, once everyone else goes home...
  18. One of my mates is selling a GT3076 on fleabay ATM; shame it's a little small for what you're doing... http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/221018417418?ssPageName=STRK%3AMESELX%3AIT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649#ht_500wt_922
  19. Scotty has obviously commenced a Stagea captive breeding program. If you see them roaming the streets; do not engage them, they will disappear in a cloud of ethanol fumes, and you'll be left feeling sadly lacking in horsepower...
  20. Sooo, errr; what'll she do mistah? On a private road of course...
  21. Awesome effort once again Scotty; you must be stoked with the result. Never ceases to amaze me just what you've been able to acheive with this car; sure has come a long way since that 180ish kw dyno run! Well done.
  22. Why would you buy a knocked around, 2nd hand rack end, when you can buy 2 brand new ones for $50? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/320533465804?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649#ht_1749wt_1037
  23. Good luck mate; hope you get some decent runs in! I'll have to try for 2 weeks time...
  24. I'm out this week unfortunately; missus is doing stocktake on Wednesday night. I'm sure my young bloke would like to come with me; but I don't think they'd be too happy about me doing runs with a 3 year old asleep in the back...
