  1. Dude search engines are your friend here but: Nismo = 300kmph and 320kmph Impul = 320kmph to name a few And the big daddy Veilside = 360kmph
  2. Shoota_77 that is a seriously nice piece of exhaust manifold kit
  3. Maybe buying one from England and driving it across might be the go ! And: R33 GTS = NON TURBO R33 GTST = TURBO Which one are you after ?
  4. Yesssss the Putty Road Oh yes ! ( My right eye is starting to twitch ! ! ! )
  5. Is it a series 1 motor ? Then its probably the air flow meter. The internal connector pins that are soldered together have come apart and need re-soldering. Run a search here on this forum i think there is a tutorial on it.
  6. Don't know if this has been asked but . . . Are you using a R32 shifter or a R33 shifter, short shifter, checked if they are installed correctly, bush at the bottom of the shifter ok ? ? ?
  7. Looks like the wire is connected to a diode which only allows power to be shunted in one direction ! Where does the wire end up under your console ? Pull out your console and post up a pic ! It may shed more light on what its supplying power to or from.
  8. Notice the blue R34GTR that waved to us as we were heading back out of Singleton at around 10am ? Anyone know who that was ?
  9. "Disclaimer: We all did the speed limit because we are responsible adults." When did this happen ? I didn't get the memo . . . I think !!!! And as to the speed limit, we had too cause of the fear instilled in us by the amount of dead kangaroos/wombats/possums on the road. On that did any of you guys spot the Kangaroo standing on the side of the road, about to cross, near the armor guard rail as we crossed the bridge on the second windy section ? ? Scared the poop out of me ! ! !
  10. Great drive guys ! Early morning is the go when it comes to no traffic on the road. I do believe some of us are close to or are cured praise the Gods of Driving
  11. Im usually at Wilberforce around 6:30. I'll PM you now. And as to loosing your licence stay at speed not speeding and you'll be fine the road is quite challenging enough. As to defecting . . . . well I cant help you there cause I've not see your car !
  12. Bring tools ! I do cause its the Putty Rd with the majority of it having no phone reception !
  13. Dose Pipe Sutututu - Oh yes there's a very very good chance I will be going up the Putty Rd early on Saturday. I get some breakfast at a cafe in Singleton then usually back on the road 10ish. That way you get to see all the mad motor bike riders coming the other way with the two highway patrol cars and two motor bike cops trying catch them out !
  14. mlr - you've got a couple of options here: 1. Don't take take the missus ! 2. If she must go, cruse to were there are the are shops that include - cafes/markets/crystals/goat milk soap/hippy tie die clothing etc etc Dose Pipe Sutututu - You need some serious help if you get more enjoyment driving a Tiguan. ( No offence to the Tiguan ) GET DRIVING MAN ! ! IN YOUR SPECIFICALLY BUILT CAR THAT IS DESIGNED FOR DRIVING. NOT A PEOPLE MOVING CAR WITH SUSPENSION UP GRADES ( again no offence to people mover cars ) Thanks for the offer on your built motor but I already got a 25/30 sitting on an engine stand with a 3582R on a cast iron HKS low mount manifold with all the fruit, waiting to go into the R33. I've been waiting for the RB25 that's in my car to run out and its now got 414000km on it and still going ! But that's the point isn't it ? The car is for driving and drive you must. Any thing else is an automotive tragedy !
  15. Then appease the Gods of Speed and go the Putty Road early Sat. Be on the Putty at 6:30am and there is less chance of getting stuck behind a caravan/truck and the kangaroos and wombats have usually gone to bed. As well, by the time you hit the best parts the dew is gone and grip is good. At that time of the morning going through the Howes Valley region the sun across the farms in from the east is quite spectacular and does your sole visual good !
  16. I forgot what my Skyline was for ! Ever get that felling ? Being a daily driven R33 you tend to loose sight of what its like to really drive it. So for the last five Saturdays in a row I took an early (6:30am start) drive up the Putty Road. I believe I am now cured ! Cured I tell you ! Its a miracle ! Hallelujah ! Hallelujah ! Praise the Gods of Speed ! The joy of driving without effort, the handling in and out of corners, the ease of acceleration did it. And to think I was considering selling it ! Might go for another drive this Saturday again just to be sure I'm really cured ! You can never be sure when you have a relapse.
  17. Found em ! Here what can be done with a linisher, die grinder, sanding discs, etc etc. Note the difference where excess metal is removed. You'll also need a set of fairly accurate scales to weigh each rod to get them all the same weight towards the end of the process. The finished rod is now ready for shot peening :
  18. GTSboy Ive done the same over the years as well running the old Holden inline red motor 6 up to 7000rpm on preped star fire rods and just over 8000rpm on preped VW Passat rods so it can be done. You just need to get rid of the excess casting slag and weight from the rod then prep them the rest of the way. I Ive got a set of RB30 rods half preped some where which I stopped cause here in AUS the after market rods worked out better. Have you looked into maybe a set of after market 6 inch Chev rods ? They can made to fit with a small amount of work ! Research Research Research !
  19. Clearing out my garage ! Pair of R33GTST rear 5 stud hubs, brakes, discs, handbrake lines - $300 for the pair Pair of Federal 245/45/17 Super Steel 595. Were on the front of my R33 for less than a week and weren't low enough in the profile, then went to 18s - $180 for the pair Nismo horn, a bit scratched up and small damage to the plastic cover $30 Prices are of coarse negotiable with in reason. 20. Hey Man; That all looks pretty good Just a few things I've spotted in your build; -Do some research on how much power has been made with stock cams on the RB25 head ! I think you might be over investing for the power you want to make. Some drop in cams for the on the hydrolic set up will save you a bunch of money here -O-ring the block - if your going to run a cometic head gasket that should be fine.- the alternative is to run a copper head gasket with the o-ringing. Coupled with this, save your little lunch money and get head studs for better clamp pressure. -As to the rods crack testing, shot peening and magnafulxing them will increase their strength and has been a tried and true method for stock rods since Noah was a boy. -And lastly, again save your lunch money and drop in a set of forged pistons, don't do it twice ( the money you will save on the head set up may even allow the rods you are after ) Hope this helps
  21. My go at it a while ago now ! Got a box of unfinished ones to suit LM2s/3s/4s that need the mounting hardware for the different models
