  1. Obviously too much boost. You are running standard tune, the car will not just adapt to this rise in air. You want more power, save the money, get the parts, get a tune and do it properly.
  2. I will be considering doing this as my car really does not like giving me two wheels anymore. Straight line I am ice skating everywhere and it is definitely one wheel spinning... I tried to spin the tires(not for show but just to test the diff) and it is definitely only using one wheel when its spinning.. I don't care for burnouts but if I could tighten up the straight line action, that would be great but from reading here it seems this has more effect when the car is sliding/turning/coming out of turns etc and straight line its still a one wheel... Nissan should have made this diff tighter..
  3. Another easy way is to use sheet aluminium between the cat and the cat back half of the exhaust and just punch some holes in it. very temporary fix. Or just get a bolt in silencer
  4. I also got the HEL braided brake line and measured it up yesterday. The line fits perfectly from the master straight to the slave! Saturday job woop.
  5. Is there any need for the damper thing to be there? The piece of shit f**ked up last time I tried to bleed and since I will be changing my master soon, it would be awesome to eliminate the thing. Could I just run a new hard line to a female-female fitting then some braided line to my slave? That link is talking about bending this, moving this etc. Those hard lines are a pita and break easily.
  6. Where did you get it for $185 delivered? I'm either going to get the Innovate piece: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Innovate-Motorsports-3844-MTX-L-52mm-Wideband-Air-Fuel-Ratio-AFR-Gauge-/120776925486?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c1edda12e Or the AEM piece: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/AEM-DIGITAL-WIDEBAND-UEGO-CONTROLLER-FREE-SHIP-AUS-/290497232176?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item43a2fbfd30 But if you can show me the AEM unit for $185(Digital with analog outputs etc) that would be great. If you had to choose one of these units, which would you get?
  7. Sounds ineteresting. I don't have any of the CCNA stuff but I do have a Bachelor in computer science. Also located in Sydney and currently working night shifts. If you think I may be suited PM me man ill send you a resume. My strongest points in IT are hardware support, software support and software development(my course was oriented around software development but Ive also got a cert 4 in programming and a advanced dimploma in software development which did cover hardware shit).
  8. Do you have a coilpack loom for series 2?
  9. The ss2 made the same power at the same boost but 400rpm earlier... But maybe that turbo, being larger maybe not so much affected by heat, but even after long drives and runs through stanwell tops, I wasn't detonating or losing power
  10. 10psi on a 1200hp compressor..... that is f**king insane. Would be awesome if it could be stealthily be hidden away somewhere.
  11. If it didn't hiss after a drive it's not holding pressure. I made a thread in the diy on how to fix this.
  12. Ive got the stock BOV and under 20psi it doesn't open up. Remember, as said above, there is also a line to the top of the BOV applying Xpsi to the top of the valve to keep it shut.
  13. I use 7 heat range. On 10psi the 6 should be fine. Not much chamber compression to cause detonation. If you get det or shit running get the 7e plugs. I also heard the BKR7E V groove are good. Few people swear by them but the shop I get my shit from has a $12 price difference between the standard and V groove plugs(per plug that is).
  14. 17degrees cold to 79 - 82c warm. Power FC and what not both operate fine. Its weird that on first start it won't start, second start is perfect. Google search skyline wont start first time there is a whole crap load of results. Some people say the CSV and some say the water temp switch. Others say vac leak. From what I have read, though, the dash temp sensor and the number shown on the power FC are DIFFERENT to the sensor which is used to determine other shit. There are two water temp sensors apparently... One just to show the number, the other to control the car. Also can't find the cold start valve. People say on the R32 its above injector 4 and 5 and should be the same on the RB25. There is nothing there.
  15. Pics of the suspension and what springs they're using? can pick up I'm from Parramatta. Also above it says youve got an R34, R33 suspension wont fit the R34.
  16. Standard car? Does it flash or solid?
  17. Got an r33 which fails to start first time when cold. It will turn over, fire, splutter then die. Alot of reading states the following. Cold start valve, water temp sensor, vacuum leak. Question is which water sensor do I need? They say it's a water temp switch which controls the auto choke on cold or some shit. Is it the blue one or completely brass one? Is it possible to clean the cold start valve? I will be conducting a intake test this week under 18psi. Info is much appreciated.
  18. Ahh the stall converter, applying load to the engine at idle to create some boost. Here is a run from about 2500rpm to 6000rpm in 3rd gear on low boost(around 14psi). I know the dash isn't visible enough but this isn't something I want to try and do more than once on the road lol. My car seems to always ping now at high boost so I think the removal of the rubber hose has had an effect on the tune...
  19. The misfire is caused to due loss of spark, its either somewhere in the wiring, somewhere in the coils, or somewhere in the spark plugs. Its silly to replace one, because when one fails, they all start to follow.
  20. I don't know lol it must be off after 4900, that is the value if pfc. Something happens at 4900
  21. I was just gonna squirt it down the same road lol but Its better on the freeway because the road is smoother. 6krpm in 3rd gear is close to 140km/h. The car feels pretty dead coming from 1500rpm in 2nd, should be interesting to see how it goes from 3rd at 2k.
  22. Ill get this footage tomorrow. Ill try to push it as far as I can. Did anyone notice the XR6 lol.Tailgated me a fair way waiting for me to run him.
  23. Is the AEM one the one that can calibrate in the air or is that the Innovate piece? I'm stuck between the LC1 or the AEM AUEGO thing. Is it the sensor which makes it wideband or the module? If you got the sensor and hooked it straight into the car will it just operate as a narrowband or can you wire it up to the FC Datalogit to use the wideband spectrum.
  24. Do any of these sensors fit in the standard bung for the Skyline? Need something this week, I was looking at the innovate piece for around 200. As much good stuff I hear about them, I hear bad stuff. I don't want to spend much, just something which will give an good quick reading and I can use with my PFC for basic home tuning.
