  1. I ran a GT30 with a 4" intake and a Z32 for 2 years with a reducer just before the AFM. Not a problem with a GTR recirv BOV fitted.
  2. ha ha you watch. put the 25 in and you'll go downhill!
  3. 9:1 is normal and what just about everyone uses
  4. Nah nothing but beer to be ingested on the Friday. People will roll in @ all hours from 3pm-11pm i reckon so it'll be a bit arse about in that respect Sat will be the start
  5. 4WD is not the answer. A better setup is. RWD is light, is fast - you just need to know how to drive it and have the setup to support. R32 Gts-t 360-380rwkw IIRC. Full prepped race car, and utterly insane Fastest car @ calder weekend just gone Hopefully it makes it to the SAU Nationals
  6. Arrival/check-in etc. Given accomm for most places is not avail until 12pm-2pm - people simply arrive/gather. If you convoy'd and left at like 6am, you'd be there 2-3pm no worried in perfect time.
  7. I'd still love to know how you are meant to screw a nut into a flat flange
  8. Thread closed. Believe it or not, but since SAU started more than 7 years ago, this topic has been discussed before. Please use the search function in future. It may be found here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?app=core&module=search&search_in=forums While we understand that it can be frustrating to have your thread closed - Please consider that other members may feel it to be disrespectful and selfish of you to post a simple question, without using the search feature to review the wealth of information provided by said members over the years. If you still feel that this action is unjust, then please PM me and we can discuss it further.
  9. track day is Sat S'n'S is Sunday
  10. How do you intend to put bolts onto the flange exactly? They don't need to be threaded and serve no purpose
  11. Oil - no problem. you aren't running a proper catch can setup im assuming. Well you still dont know what turbos you have... So i wouldnt get too excited about that. They have to come off regardless. So water leak = cracked block by the sound of it? If so, rebuild time or new motor.
  12. radiator holding pressure doesn't mean it's cooling the water decently. I still reckon that is the issue (once you rule out HG) A decent cross flow radiator is around $800
  13. Merge is larger in diameter over factory to allow flow. Smooth bends/welds, less restriction as a result. Would aid spool etc etc. People like Tangomatt have used them in his big 2.8ltr 400kw monster http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/287693-racepace-built-r34-gtr-nur-rb28-v-cam/ Plenty of other people have them on the forum.
  14. Given the way emission rules are going just for cars - let alone the whole "carbon" bullshit around the world They are being forced too as at the end of the day they want profit, not please people.
  15. Ye was a rather dismal turnout considering we normally get 50 cars, and we book the hotel out WITHOUT taking money. Guess people will have to pre-pay from now on Easy drive down/back. Not one caravan for a change hehe. I was going to come back to the motel till 6/7pm or so, but work got the better of me. I spent all lunch working whilst @ the fish'n'chips shop and then had to leave immediately Bit of a downer in that respect as i reckon the 2nd day is the best part of it all!
  16. I've had GT-SS's, I now have -5s - no comp surge at all using factory piping and BOV's. I've even used the stock ECU with GT-SS's on 15psi and it was fine. Sounds like you need to visit a dyno and see what is going on. Timing/AFR etc. Also you kinda do need a tune dude with larger turbos...
  17. For what part? Plenty of parts that can be checked lol Although i dont check my CPU anymore. It's run 4.2ghz or whatever daily for almost 3 years now, never got hot in the first 6 months and that was good enough for me. Although i do make sure i clean it every 3-5 months from dust etc. And i do check the CPU after reseating the heatsink
  18. Purple Pig Enzed HIS Hose Pirtek Go down and get them made.
  19. Are you sure you won't budge on prices? ie: R33 coil loom, you can get it brand new from Nissan for that. I might be interested if the price was reflective of its value.
  20. get a better radiator - ie crossflow. Just having a big radiator that has a single pass often doesn't keep the water in long enough to cool it down.
  21. either the BOV does not have a correct VAC feed OR there is a blocking plate underneath the BOV itself If the BOV was broken, you'd never make boost in the first place, so forget that idea.
  22. you cannot get a shell. you need to buy a car
  23. There is always a budget. You wouldn't have a skyline if you didn't,. 10k? 20k? 30k?
  24. How do you know the new sensor isn't broken? Could be faulty.
  25. Also - MORE MORE MORE adding to Facebook people. 200 people in 4 days isn't bad - but surely there is more. It will be the primary way info will be sent out. It'll also be put onto the forum etc, however instant updates are easier
