  1. It's documentary style It'll be kinda like this which is one he did a few weeks ago: So as i said - not super high action or anything like that.
  2. I said in the thread it was my GTSR (HR31) There will be others/cars etc. So any suggestion might not be used now but perhaps down the track. Everything is different etc
  3. For 350-400rwkw you'd just use GTR rods. Given 100's of built motors using them without a problem, for $200 - cant go wrong really. If you wanna pay $1200 then by all means do it - but 400rwkw is a well proven "no issue" factor. Infact many have run 450rwkw through GTR rods without a problem for years. Key is using good rod bolts of course and less than 8500rpm it would seem.
  4. Hey all. Looking for music/track suggestions here to go against a videography that’s in the works. A mate of mine is using my GTS-R as an example/portfolio content and we are trying to think of some good backing music to go with it. It’s not the “normal” sort of high/super action video so a thrashing metal backing track isn’t appropriate, nor would pop/top40 stuff. The video/doco is sort more about the car, passion, ownership and so on with some different camera work to what you would normally see. Anything instrumental, acoustic. Something rock would work quite well too. Even uplifting/light sorta trance perhaps. Throw some suggestions out people. I’ll post up the video once it’s completed (2 weeks) as he is looking for some feedback and also some other cars to work on.
  5. transdirect
  6. Both are too big for 600hp - a GT35 will make that and more.
  7. You know nothing is But considering you spend all day under them give it a measure up. They can be put into HR31's with some custom work. If you are doing custom anyway, suppose it might not make much of a difference and easier overall. NS.com have any info? Surely someone that has done it.
  8. It's upto HIM to advise us. Otherwise no refund.
  9. You wouldn't really want the outlet pipes that close to the manifold tube anyway though ye? Total custom piping required to move it as far as possible unless you plan to run a sheet inbetween?
  10. OIC - i didnt know this Well ye thats fine then as is
  11. It was down as "double" though, previously. So 1 + 1 now? Thanks!
  12. 5mm? ye def get a top lid/deflector put on as well. what about the sides? You might have to force it so it has no choice. but then sideways you might need a bit of side flow to encourage air to come in the first place rather than just using the clutch fan. Side point - have you tried to go straight for a lap or two previously? I mean thinking about a car @ a 45 degree angle. Not a lot of air is being directed there at all
  13. What phone? OS? etc...
  14. I'm a Ash +1 - SINGLE if possible. Just Friday - cannot do Sat anymore Gonna bring REVHEAD along. And whilst he is a nice bloke, i aint sharin a bed LOL. If not, he can just go in somewhere else is there is a "single" issue and i'll just take a double
  15. A I/C that flows well is one thing, but doesn't mean it cools well. It's a fine balance between flow & cooling. I think a 0.5-1psi drop seems to be the norm for the reasonable cooling items. 1-1.5psi seems to be better cooling but obviously less flow. Comes down to what you want. And something without a drop can't be mashing the air up too much you'd think.
  16. Well Snowy is running a triple pass PWR items ATM i believe. So far so good. Looks like that front bar is smaller than the ducting? Also what is on top where the rad support is? If there is no panel, all the air is gonna do is go that way as it'll look for least resistance. Or simply go around the sides. Also how much room between I/C & Rad? Perhaps just take a photo looking down onto it What cooler is right @ the bottom of the I/C?
  17. Put the stock airbox back on. A pod really doesnt offer any performance gain. Also considering where you are - any cooler air you can get the better. That will quieten the noise down considerably. Or just loosen the BOV as it shouldnt be fluttering too much - the BOV's job is to stop that afterall
  18. They are far better balanced than a GTR A 280awkw EVO will easily keep pace with a 330-340rwkw GTR. Friend of mine has said EVO - they are light for a 4WD car. The GTR is only faster due to extra RPM really but the EVO comes on boost almost as early with a turbo upgrade. That's saying something for a 2ltr vs a 2.6ltr - all in the head/variable timing etc. Each to their own - i give credit where it's due and a EVO9 is the best platform at the 40k marker IMO if you wanna go fast without spending big coin as all you need power wise is to flash the stock ECU/injectors/exhaust/turbo/cooler piping and thats about it. Cheaper than a GTR would be to get to 340, 8 years newer etc. Also the bonus of the funky ECU business for yaw/diff control etc. Better brakes, tough gearbox list goes on. Still prefer the RB scream @ 8,000 but if i was in the 40k region and wanted to go fast for under 50k without that nagging risk of rebuild - it'd be a pretty easy decision of the newer/stronger car.
  19. You can't argue EVO isn't a winner though. A 9 is cheaper than a 34 and will make 220awkw with just exhaust and a flash tune/boost increase and a cooler piping upgrade. No GTR with stock turbos will be as fast.

  21. I would have said a lot slower? Like, slower than me slower (now THAT is an insult lol)
  22. I know full well what going from a 20 to a 25 is like LOL A HR31 is heavier - going from a 20 to a 25 was praise the son of rajab worthy of awesome
  23. I thought the RB20 could neva looose? Well, that's what Brisby religiously tells me after half a slab.
