He's making the same power on lower boost, an RB30 with GT3076 makes 300kw's at 14psi?? an RB25 does it at 18psi usually on 98, that seems to be a fact, so seems logical that the RB30 breaths so much that its outflowing and running the GT30 into the limits , it just can't create that pressure when its being flowed out so efficiently???? ( hence shaft speed) its still making the same power though so there cant be much of a leak happening, must be just about maxing out surely...

wouldn't it be easy to tell if its solid lifters or not ben?? they have smaller runners too don't they, wonder what the difference is there....

a neo head uses a different cas, black cover on it, I'm after a neo and selling a S2 head with tomei cams , might be interested in a deal here

Can you get adjustable wheels for both intake and exhaust side then? Just trying to visualise how the crank and two cams can be in the exact spot without having everything adjustable.. Can you use the tensioner for adjusting it too? hmm

I'd like to know how you get the timing right, is it just a matter of getting the right belt , install tensioner on block and just line the marks up or is there a more precise way to get it spot on?

I need to learn more, but arnt the RB26 and the neo25 pretty similar heads ( apart from VCT) , if they arnt that much different then the VCT would of been good, in comparing response im thinking about how 34GeeTee's 2.5L graph with the HTA3076 has 280kw's at 4000rpm and that doesn't even have a stroker kit...

Is this build really built for response, 8.5comp and no VCT sounds more like a big boost top end setup?? How would this build compare to a RB3025 neo with VCT and 9.5comp with even 50% E85 mix... surely that would of got big torque low down...

I don't know much about tuning but i own and driven a car that i know for sure ran rich for a while and it certainly turnt into a slapper, not saying yours will, but it must create more wear so wondering if this is a running in strategy?? could it be or not..

Yeah as said above and maybe get some printouts from JEVS to put up so it can be looked at on here, id like to see what a good and poor tune looked like on a graph

I hope they fix it properly for you, I guess this makes us all more weary, I'll stick to slapping a stock neo to a stock RB30, atleast no workshops can stuff me around

Been a while, deciding to follow other peoples path of an unopened RB30 bottem end and slap a neo head on, found a R31 skyline, started it up and she was purring nice so no problem sorted there.. just need slowly source parts and slap together... Took her out of hibernation, and heads are turning , lol

Would be interesting to see who has worked on your car and if they have a no admittance to workshop policy, my experience with the big name companies is that they use a team of young guys that are learning still and theres maybe one or two guys that have the knowledge but they mostly work on the expensive jobs.. At this rate, you could of maybe built this thing yourself and done just as good, lol. Take it to a known good tuner like JEM, arnt they down your way? seem's they do good work on other members cars.. ask them to just do a power run, see what they think.

Got the R33 tuned for $600, eflex tune on power fc from scratch, took just over an hour and got to watch it being done and chat with tuner, maybe the extra grand is because "GTR stroker" , so that name means $$$ before it is even put on dyno ..

Id highly recommend "Gavin Woods at autotech, he's based on gold coast, you wont regret it, he knows GTR's, he owns a R33GTR himself, he built a tomei stroker to 900hp on the ignition GTR DVD, should check that one out, was an animal.. You wont find a more honest bloke than Gavin, at those other places you might have a young guy learning by using your car or not be able to know what they are doing as they restrict workshop access, don't get caught up in some of those big name places in Brisbane, I got ripped badly by one... i'll never use any of them again..

Forgot to mention the cam key snapped off when I had CAS problem, it doesn't effect anything, its just a locator for the CAS, runs perfect , have dyno sheets and video to prove it
