Lol, I guess it depends how far you are willing to travel... I live 2 hours from Bathurst, which is why I make it to as many of the hill climbs that they run as I can (I barely miss them). I live 4-5hours from SMSP and Wakefield Park, so it's always a trip to get to track days at them. -

This weekend I did a 100,000km service on the GTT with the help of a couple of mates. I decided to go for a Gates Racing belt and then OEM bearings, seals and water pump. The car now has around 170,000kms on it but I figure with the abuse I give it a full 100,000km service would be nice for it. I was surprised to see however that all the parts were in great condition so I will be keeping them for track spares I also have a new radiator on it's way which should certainly help with my overheating issues. I've also gotten a new oil plate (Greddy thermostatic) and will be buying Speedflow fittings and lines as I am over having issues with the other stuff leaking. That will be fitted in the next couple of weeks too hopefully. -
Awesome work with the cage mate, keen to see more!

Awesome car! I honestly can't understand how you can 'daily' a car with a sequential box lol... What are the future plans? I.e. track days, etc? -

So during the weekend I entered the Toyota Nationals which is held locally every year. They generally allow a small number of non-Toyota entrants and I usually jump on it pretty quickly. It's a nice cheap event and being local makes it even better! Unfortunately bad weather set in during the weekend and we had our first decent rain in a long time.... Never the less, I went out and had some fun, and the track managed to dry just long enough for me to get one good skid in (for which the audience applauded and the officials got cranky lol). Anyway, I always enter these events purely for fun as non-Toyota entrants are ineligible for trophies. Here is a video of the second track layout we did. And a pic for your enjoyment. -

Hi, Looking for a cheap pair of driveshafts that I can keep as spares for my R34 GTT. Let me know if you have some lying in your shed that you don't want. Tim

I was fortunate enough to represent SAUNSW on the weekend at Nulon Nationals Round 2, which was the hill climb at Bulahdelah. It was a great event with many nice friendly people attending. SAU put in a great effort!! As far as I know I finished the event in 17th place (out of 50) with a time of 38.15s on my last run of the weekend, unfortunately Dave managed to sneak in front of me the second day!!! Lol. The weekend wasn't without drama, after telling Hawko from MotiveDVD I would do a burnout for I snapped a driveshaft lol. Luckily someone I knew had a spare no there (I left my spare at home like an idiot) and with the extremely quick helpful hands of my mates we had it swapped over ready for the next run! Anyway, I'll post more pics when I get them from my mates, but here is a couple of videos for your enjoyment. Outside view running a time of 38.53s In-car view running a time of 38.15s -
Awesome build!

Also, my Bride rail arrived late yesterday Not the best in car pic, will take another one later. Definitely glad I ordered a Rapfix detachable boss kit now (still waiting on it's arrival) as I have to position the seat backwards and adjust the steering wheel angle up to get in/out of the car lol. Very nice fit, will take a little to get used to it though. -

I currently have it removed ready to do the oil change, so when I fit it back up I will take more pictures. Highway driving temps seem to get quite up there (95-105 is normal for the car) and that was the case prior to fitting the splitter also so it's hard to say. In terms of general driving the splitter made no difference to temps, but it is possible it could be making just enough difference at the track that temps soar quickly. Thanks -

So after running the temps up particularly high at Wakefield, I thought it best to change the coolant and fit the Nismo low temp thermostat that I had sitting in my office until I can afford to buy a larger radiator (hoping I'll have one at the end of the month). There was a bit of corrosion on the upper pipe so I gave it a small clean whilst I was there too. I also thought I'd do a compression test on the engine whilst I had the free time, and also to make sure the overheating didn't cause any issues (though I had to drive the car 4-5hrs to get home and suspected no problems I figured best to check anyway). For something that should be simple, there is so much shit covering the valley it makes it a much longer job! Anyway, all appeared to be fine with this being the results: Cylinder 1 - 160 Cylinder 2 - 165 Cylinder 3 - 150 Cylinder 4 - 145 Cylinder 5 - 150 Cylinder 6 - 160 I'll be doing another oil change this week just to get rid of the oil that copped a beating at Wakefield and just to make sure the car is in top shape for the weekend as I will again be competing on behalf of the SAUNSW team at Nulon Nationals - Round 2, which is the hill climb at Bulahdelah. I'm very excited to not only be giving the Bulahdelah hill climb a go but hopefully helping the team to get some good results! Pics and vids to come! -
