R34 Gtr Wheels And Suspension

I would recommend bumping your thread instead of creating a new one every day. Good price for the wheels in my opinion -
Big Changes For V8 Supertaxis 2017
timmy_89 replied to RBN1's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
I have been to the 12hr the last couple of years, so much better then V8SC in my opinion. More variety, and less bogans lol. You can walk around pretty much wherever you want. I even tried to talk to the Japanese guys that were there with the GTR last year, but my minimal knowledge of Japanese didn't help haha. I think tried to talk to another Japanese guy, who turned out to be Australia and part of the Nissan Australia team which made me look like a big idiot, hahaha. -

I think, but not 100% sure, that the GTR would technically have to be sold as a RWD option for that possibility to occur. Someone else might be able to shed more light on this though.. -
I missed out on entry by a couple of days :'(

Big Changes For V8 Supertaxis 2017
timmy_89 replied to RBN1's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Agreed, I think it was a move that needed to happen. The coupes still need to be 4 seater vehicles which would rule out vehicles like the 370Z coming in anytime soon in the future. The engine configurations will be good to see, I seem to recall Nissan asking for 4 cylinder turbo, but don't know how serious that was considering it looks like they'll have to stay with the Altima chassis for a while. The move to pay TV is going to kill a lot of their viewing though. Honestly I'm just loving all the bogan backlash, especially the Ford guys haha. -
Thanks I do recall hearing something about this but have never been pulled up about it since hearing about it They didn't say anything to me about the adaptor on my helmet or having the camera on my helmet all day. Back at the Round 1 and 2 of the hill climb championships at the start of this year the officials were a bti funny about it but the official rules had not come in yet at that stage. I haven't had anything said to me since then.

Outside view of one of my runs, got a bit crossed up coming out of the chase -
The final run we had the track was so slippery, as you can see from my video haha. It kicked out with no real acceleration or correction and was just sliding whilst in fifth gear, all I could do was steer and hope it grabbed traction before the next turn lol. Luckily I'm used to sliding, so I was able to keep myself on the track. I don't have any outside footage of this run unfortunately because every had their cameras away with the rain. I do have GoPro footage from on the side of the car which I might upload later, and I do have footage from the other vehicle at the time but all you can see is water spray lol. Here is an outside view video though, I was pushing too hard out of the chase and the car got a bit sideways (theme of the day for me lol) which you can see right at the end of the video.

What power will you be pushing for with the new mods? -
Nice build thread mate. Do you plan on doing anything besides street/drag? Still planning on changing the rear on the turbo even with the new converter?

So yesterday I entered myself into the supersprint at Mount Panorama held by the Bathurst Light Car Club, the first supersprint that had been ok'd by council in the last 3 years. The day started out beautiful, but made a drastic change into a downpour of rain after only the first couple of runs which meant I really only got 1 sighting run and 1 "fast" lap of 52.47 seconds before the track was wet. In the end they had to call the day short (still managed a few wet runs). Definitely something I'll be aiming to get to again to improve on times. Vid of my last run in the wet, which as you can see was slippery as hell!! EDIT: Second YouTube link not working so posting in next comment -
For those interested, here are a couple of vids from the day Dry Wet

Hey all, I'm in Bathurst now ready for the supersprint tomorrow. I won't be doing the flying 1/5th on Sunday. Who else will be here? If you see me come say hey

Make an offer on any of the items left, you'll be surprised what I'll take - door trims - front brake rotors - swaybars - AFM I will be at Eastern Creek for a couple of hours morning/midday on the 13th December if anyone is interested in something and want to pick it up from there.

When I fitted mine (brand new) I did a lot of figure 8's to run it in straight away. -

Feel like organising a SAU group trip? Lol. I am running Castrol Syntrax 80W140 (link below). I don't daily my car so it's no worries at all to me. I think even if it was daily it wouldn't bother me, it's just a little noisier, and you get the occasional weird look from people in car parks, etc lol. http://www.castrol.com/en_au/australia/products/cars/axle-and-universal-fluids/syntrax-80w-140.html
