  1. I don't see the relevance...whether it was beer and hookers, a boat in the Bahamas or just the rent that month, if you are owed money what matters is how you could get it back. And the best thing people who are owed money can hope is that he gets work in, turns it around, and makes some money to pay them back.
  2. As far as I can see he has to take on new work to make some money to pay back what he owes. I'm not saying the situation is OK, but where do you think any owed money is going to materialise from?
  3. no issue there....you undo 2 bolts to take the caliper off the hub but you don't undo the brake line. Support the caliper so it's not hanging by the brake line, slip the disc off, clean the hub/disc surface and slip the new disc on.
  4. sorry make that 3min for the rears, sometimes the handbrake drum needs to be backed off a little.
  5. rotors is another 2min on top of a pad change. just make sure everything is thoroughly cleaned with brake cleaner to avoid annoying squeals.

  7. I've got a 32 D2 kit on my S1.....never had an issue with em. Bob that replacement sounds expensive, have you tried a couple of places? In any case, at least you only have to replace the rings and not whole discs including centres

  10. yeah good on the emo driver for stopping, I can't believe others didn't. And no marshal got there in the 50sec shown on the video....not good if your car is on fire and you can't get out. Hope the driver is OK, that was a big one.
  11. Got a pic of your new setup today Craig.....looks unique I really don't have much to add for mine....I've had it for 7 years and the only mod you can see is the 34 gtr wheels and d2 brakes. Lots of other stuff on the inside tho.

  13. Grrrr I give up getting it going on Win7/Virtual PC. I'm going to try and get an old laptop working again on XP, if not off to the markets on sunday to pick up a cheapy.

  18. just leave the engine running (out of gear) if you want to bleed it continuously. Just make sure you keep topping it up. Also there are 2 bleeders; rear of the gearbox and above the rear driveshaft near the diff
  19. a clubman can be a great choice....but don't forget most of them have about the same power as a pulsar. If you don't want an mx-5, you won't want a clubman for the same reason
  20. ahhh I've been a bit slack updating this lately! zero additional mods, the rims have been slow arriving and the secret squirrel change may not be possible which is a damn shame. The car is driven daily and needs a charge every 2-3 days. I have a logger on the power circuit and this is what it is costing, average of $0.52 per day.   24. only one thing to keep in mind; if you might be getting serious in the future and want a HANS device, you might want to consider the HANS posts when you buy the helmet....they can be expensive or impossible to add later. personally I use a cheapy motorcycle helmet, whatever fits comfortably. Also get a decent helmet bag and use it, scruitineers will knock back helmets with surface damage, even if it was only a scratch while rolling around in the boot. BTW that article is very interesting and worth the read....it's not fully relevant to race car use but had interesting conclusions
  25. I used paving/concrete paint from bunnings, and it is starting to wear after only 12 months of weekend use. So depending on price of the epoxy stuff I would go that instead. It still looks good overall and seals oil/water properly but I don't think its going to last as long as I'd like. Most workshops that use paint redo it every year. Also it's important to acid etch the floor first or it will flake off early.
