  1. Literally got it off the dyno a week and a half ago didn't miss a bear then threw an intercooler pipe off the cold side of turbo then ever since then all over the place misfiring. Never missed a beat previously. Motor since build has only done 20,000 tops. Doesn't get molestered either always roll on power.

  3. Hey guys have an rb25 neo. The problem is it won't idle, feels like its lost all power. Misfiring like no tomorrow from word go. It's a fully built motor adjustable cam gears VCT etc. So far.. I've changed plugs changed coil packs. Checked harness injectors etc still no luck. Readings from compression test: 1 50 2 51 3 50 4 50 5 49 6 53 Could the timing have jumped out and cause such low compression ? It's also running a 2 mil steel head gasket.

    Thanks for the info mate. Yea will be doing compression test tomorrow. Will post results. Fingers crossed it turns out ok then the Cas switch I guess depending on results

  6. Mate could you possibly update or pm me with how you have the avcr set up with the gate or a sketch so I can make sure mine is done properly when going back on Dyno in a few weeks? Had to cut last Dyno short as I didn't have it hooked up right damn it.lol I have a gtt as well

    Rb25 Neo Cas

    Hey guys have a built rb25 neo just wondering how to troubleshoot a possible Cas fault I've tried everything from plugs loom switching coil packs still a massive misfire. I'm officially trumped lol Any help would be appreciated

  9. Thought I would add to this topic. So leading up to what I have now. Some of you may be surprised by the ad results due to the workshop is supposedly a very reputable workshop. Now keep n mind I'm referring to the tuning only but... Here goes. I requested my car have an oil change and tune. CAr day for 2 days called in they said tomorrow. Called in close of business next day still hasn't touched it. 2 days later on a Friday I called at 3pm and said my car was going on next. I reminded the tuner to check the following as I was positive on these symptoms. 1 - slipping clutch 2 - exhaust leak somewhere Got car back asked about only 350whp On 14psi. I had previously said gate pressure is 16psi. So far too low for a fully built rb25 neo. Then asked about exhaust leak and clutch slipping... Response was doesn't seem like it .. Seems fine.. Exactly 6 days later clutch goes on it. A month later turbo gasket completely blows out. Have since fixed it all up and gone to another tuner with everything now fixed with 457whp on gate pressure 16/15.5. Just seemed like tuner wasn't interested in what I had to say about my car that I drive daily
  10. Yea haven't really looked much into mixing. It the up coming months hopefully changing to flex fuel.With an aero motive twin pump set up. Will be interesting
  11. That's impressive man well done on it! Yea still got a bit of Dyno time to come. Want to see if I can get back above 400kw on pump gas without levels getting hectic lol

  13. Yea some people have opinions on octane I don't mind changing copper plugs every 5000 for the price they are. I am changing to flex fuel soon with an aero motive fuel set up. Is your car on YouTube on Dyno by the way ?
  14. Haha yes will put the squeeze on it soon with High boost but it's still on 98 with octane boost

  17. Haven't read entire thread but this sounds like air is escaping quite possibly where the bov bolts onto the alloy flange to the piping . Had the same funny sound previously with an older car
  18. With my old stockish s14 with rb25det. I took the factory air intake box and cut it up so my filter went inside. A suggestion in case you still have the air box
  19. Ticking at idle could possibly be turbo gasket or exhaust mani leak. Like the dowel trick take a rubber garden hose cut to length and listen while hunting you will def hear a change in sound if it is a leak.

  21. Dan r34 gtt living in Brisbane for a year now . Awaiting high boost setting but currently this is what I have power wise at low boost 16.5
  22. Just assuming being an auto ecu, You are running auto transmission? When you say it doesn't rev is it more you jump on throttle and revs slower at wot then it does at 1/4 throttle ?
  23. strongly recommend Horsepower solutions this is my low boost setting of 16.5 going for high boost soon running 98 with octane very happy. Justin is the guy you want to speak with
