I had such an adrenilin rush last night....tset of traffic lights a VX HSV,celica turbo & XR6 turbo pulled up beside me :P  not sure if the HSV was worked or not it was louder then standard but the xr6 was really beefy you could her the spoolin really loudly and it sounded like it was a big v8 when he steped on it.  I only have a stock r32 gtst .

We had a series of runs and each time i kept up with both these cars up until about 100km p/h then they pulled away bout a car length, the celica was nowhere to be found.

Does this sound about right for my stock GTST or should i feel proud they didnt walk all over me

your comments please.. :)

Your a moron, and nobody is impressed

haha ... are you sure you wernt dreaming? Practicing your quick shifts under the sheets with the old man shifter?  That would be a short shift to wouldnt it?

lol so true!!

anyway a xr6t would blow a stock 32 away, but u should leave that for the track, iv seen alot of unmarked cops driving around in done up cars, its simply not worth the risk. last week i saw an unmarked magna vrx green with big rims and exhaust it turned out being a cop car and pulled someone over.

you dont know these days they drive anything

dave....

im just waiting for that guy to jump up and yell "You can do it cut his f*kin Head Off!" haha .. i bet he doesnt come on here with his i love to street race because i play need for speed underground stories again.

Glad people are still out there being dick heads and giving the police a good excuse to pull me over.

I second that. It's people like you that give the authorities reason to bug the rest of us for stupid shit like big exaust tips and things that go whooosh.

speak for yourself man, i was hell impressed. he beat some fully sik cars and he was probably in bed at the time with one hand on the stick.

This guy IS the COOLEST person I KNOW...

Actually almost ALL his posts sound like someone whose mum just bought him his first car and not only has NFI about the car, but life in general.

Carry on my simple "associate"

and I am yet to disagree with any ones "comments" on your remarkable deeds...f#ckin tool

yeh i do think i am cool.

i asked for your imput .. i was wondering if this soudned correct and from a few ppl i noticed that no its not, that these guys should have left me for dead. But hey the fact is they didnt , the reasons why i do not know .... dont you think if it didnt look so funny to me that i wouldnt have mentioned it. some of you people need to grow up... some people on here ask silly questions on here only because they dont know for themselves thats why they are on here to learn more about their cars from others with experiance, its not very fricken nice to be bagging someone for something they dont know in front of others... you guys act real "cool" asking me if i think im cool you only do it to get a kick out of yourselves. well ill ask you guys do you think your tough talking in here like that because you cant see any of our faces. seriously if you have a problem with what i say or think i am stupid for some reason the send me a pm and explain it to me

Regards

You idiot the reason everyone is hassling you is not because you're asking silly questions or to look cool it's because you're going around racing on public roads, and asking if you should be 'proud.' There's a place to race and it's the dragstrip / circuit.

No one want to see in the news accidents / deaths from someone racing / driving dangerously. You can see that in most of your other threads people have been generally helpful. But when you talk about something that's potentially dangerous not only to yourself but anyone, everyone else on the roads, expect a less than pleasant response.

you see i apreciate your reply .. if everyone else spoke to me like an adult with actual reason behinde what they are saying i will understand a little more.

Now ive taken into consideration what you have said and i do understand where your comming from. i understand your concern.

Thanks for actually taking your time and talking to me insted of ridiculing me.

You mate, are a d|ckhead

yeh i do think i am cool.

And subsequent to that, talk of street racing again and i'll ban you.

Heavy handed, maybe, but i dont give a toss when it comes to stupidity

Cheers.

    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
    • I don't get in here much anymore but I can help you with this.   The hole is a vent (air relief) for the brake proportioning valve, which is built into the master cylinder.    The bad news is that if brake fluid is leaking from that hole then it's getting past the proportioning valve seals.   The really bad news is that no spare parts are available for the proportioning valve either from Nissan or after market.     It's a bit of a PITA getting the proportioning valve out of the master cylinder body anyway but, fortunately, leaks from that area are rare in my experience. BTW, if those are copper (as such) brake lines you should get rid of them.    Bundy (steel) tube is a far better choice (and legal  in Australia - if that's where you are).
