It went something like Aaron "Come on, you should be doing 1:02 easy around here"...so in what was a bit of a Roy/Sandown remark i think Aaron had to make sure he did a 1:02

Hopefully its just a gasket, but who knows...id hate to be changing a gasket though

FERNI, if you are reading this...you on track with the new engine, or are you giving the car a rest for a while. Semis on you thing will mean you will be stepping up to the plate as well :D

Yes i'm reading this :( Engine is ready for it, pitty about the gearbox, but that should be sorted soon, nissan have offered me a refund on my gearbox so i'm hunting for a good 2nd hander, anyone know of any? Then its time for a new set of wheels and semis. Then i'll need a year or so to find my balls :P

Was there friday night, Aaron was stoked with his car, but only did 2 sessions so there may of even been a 61 in it with a bit more, who knows. Jacks 64 is awesome, he looked good out there, and at night, seeing those huge brakes glow down the end of the back straight was cool :D

Good stuff from everyone.

Now it seems this year is going to be a little more interesting. Last year Frank was too far ahead to try and catch and Chris was too far behind to push me.

Now my first thing will be to keep Jack behind me and Aaron seems like a good target to try and catch. Just sucks it's going to be Round 4 before I can get back out there.

Good stuff guys those are awesome times :D

Hats off to Jack and aaron for keeping those pesky rally things behind them :D

Also good to see Matt and Wayne up there in the RWD.....although is anyone running in std class this year??

Pics anyone??

I'm tempted to go back to std class! LOL. You boys are getting too quick for team stock turbs over here. Come mid year i'll be the only GTR running a std bottom end too.

Thats not a bad time Matt.

Well done Jack. It seems you've found your wang too. Keep it up. Looks like your going to be my benchmark now.

Just sucks it's going to be Round 4 before I can get back out there.

Cheatererer engine for cheater car?

Dont worry Chris, Team Std Turbs can still win the Motorkhana series :P

Now you know my frustration wathcning all the RB25 and RB26 powered guys walk away from me down the straights :)

There are some great pics in there Bec.....love glowing brake discs :P

And that pic of Jack (I assume it was - silver gtr) breathing fire was awesome.....hows the paint on the rear bar Jack??? :)

Were you there snapping shots as well Bec?

What happened to Clayton, did he have a bit of a lose. hope the car is ok.

Im just hoping my car is ready for Sandown, if it blows up anywhere i want it to be Sandown, close to home and the one track where i think i can learn it pretty quick...so after that i will worry about places like PI.

Plus the gravy train has run out for me , so dont think i can afford as many track days and mishaps as i have nedured the last 2 years :D

Thanks guys for the compliments, looks like it will be an exciting year of racing...

Snowy, you can chase Aaron, I'll chase you and Chris can chase me!!!!!

Chris, I'm sure if/when you ugrade your setup you'll be giving Snowy a run for his money too, give you big credit for the times you are putting out with only minor upgrades!!!

    • Not sure the US can import anything other than the C34 Stagea's, but if you can and you need to to tow, DO NOT under any circumstances get an M35 Stagea. If it is just as a family car and your country/state allows it, absolutely and definitely get an M35 (3.5L if possible as it is effectively a 350Z) over a C34.
    • Punch your VIN (nm35-xxxxxx) into Amayama.com You can see everything there quite easily.
    • Thanks for that, I'll check it all out. I can always do the brakes last anyway if its a problem.  The 16's are super cool, if they do fit I'll cruise around with them for a bit.
    • Well, that's kinda the point. The calipers might interfere with the inside of the barrels 16" rims are only about 14" inside the barrels, which is ~350mm, and 334mm rotors only leave about 8mm outboard for the caliper before you get to 350, And.... that;s not gunna be enough. If the rims have a larger ID than that, you might sneak it in. I'd be putting a measuring stick inside the wheel and eyeballing the extra required for the caliper outboard of the rotor before committing to bolting it all on.
    • OK, so again it has been a bit of a break but it was around researching what had been done since I didn't have access to Neil's records and not everything is obvious without pulling stuff apart. Happily the guy who assembled the engine had kept reasonable records, so we now know the final spec is: Bottom end: Standard block and crank Ross 86.5mm forgies, 9:1 compression Spool forged rods Standard main bolts Oil pump Spool billet gears in standard housing Aeroflow extended and baffled sump Head Freshly rebuilt standard head with new 80lb valve springs Mild porting/port match Head oil feed restrictor VCT disabled Tighe 805C reground cams (255 duration, 8.93 lift)  Adjustable cam gears on inlet/exhaust Standard head bolts, gasket not confirmed but assumed MLS External 555cc Nismo injectors Z32 AFM Bosch 023 Intank fuel pump Garret 2871 (factory housings and manifold) Hypertune FFP plenum with standard throttle   Time to book in a trip to Unigroup
