what WGMG c**t employers that knock you back for a job because they find out that your dad bought you a car, they think you are a daddys boy,

thats just been stereotypical, the bitches dont know under what circumstances the car was bought under, and then when ya try and explain they question whether you are actually the age your drivers license and birth certificate say you are, judging a person by appearance....

then they call you and tell you to come in for a chat and they say you wernt qualified even tho they wernt looking for a qualified person at all....

THEN you find out the person they did hire for the job has an extensive criminal record, one of which time was from his previous employer

so i hope this business burns to the ground and they go bankrupt :whistling:

its a real kick in the teeth :P

i have pretty much have been said yes to a job over the phone by about 5 different employers now as they needed urgent staff with no qualifications needed, when they see me all of a sudden they look at you like a little kid and say they arnt hiring any more.... things can be tuff sometimes :)

rant over :)

I am sharing your pain - I finished my apprenticeship @ 19 and I looked like I was 16 and I had a really hard time for 3-4 years. Just take consolation from the fact that it will happen, you just have to wait a little while longer for your balls to drop (jks)

Besides, when you are 40 and only look 30, and you have 10 years more experience than other blokes (who look) your age, who will be laughing then?

lol high school and thats it, but obviously im not applying for jobs that require any specific qualifications, i put in applications for jobs that specifically say "no qualifications required" and "will train on job" etc

i quit working at "the boat" which was really sh*t hours, mayb 1 hour in morning and 1 hour in the afternoon lol

but at the moment im looking for anything possible, for example shelf stacking etc

lol maybe i should just apply for jobs that require 15 year olds or something lol and i wont say im 19 turning 20

you know what get me going is people that yell out random stuff like or it slow or its a ricer if u dont like it dont look at it or f off but getting on to what was talked about before wiht sam im 21 and if i have a shave everytime i go clubbing or even to a pub i get asked for id if not clean sahven straight tho gives me the willies eh but all well

im finished winging now thanks

Lucy yes petrol sucks! Especially when you have an ULP only car :)

Grandmothers are bad too ..... mine gave me a enlarged photo of herself today because i might not have one ...... uhh ummm thanks.

I feel sorry for all you baby faced munchkins.. I've had a goatee since I was 15 which was great for buying alcohol with

Sammie, I think you'll find that the people advertising these lame jobs with no skills required are probably looking for someone under the age of 18 that they don't have to pay adult wages to. Get a job pushing trolleys while doing a 6month CAD course at tafe then get a job drafting.. ask Dale, we make lots of money :D

yes, yes we do, especially if we are nasty money grubbing contractors

*does a happy dance*

most of my mates don't believe me when I tell them how much per hour we are getting, but to give you an idea, blokes with 10+ years experience have been getting offered $72 per hour lately.

I came into it from a trade background (best move I ever made was getting off the tools) but if you can find someone who offers traineeships then you will be set for life.

retiring at 50 FTW!!!

    • I mean, I got two VASS engineers to refuse to cert my own coilovers stating those very laws. Appendix B makes it pretty clear what it considers 'Variable Suspension' to be. In my lived experience they can't certify something that isn't actually in the list as something that requires certification. In the VASS engineering checklist they have to complete (LS3/NCOP11) and sign on there is nothing there. All the references inside NCOP11 state that if it's variable by the driver that height needs to maintain 100mm while the car is in motion. It states the car is lowered lowering blocks and other types of things are acceptable. Dialling out a shock is about as 'user adjustable' as changing any other suspension component lol. I wanted to have it signed off to dissuade HWP and RWC testers to state the suspension is legal to avoid having this discussion with them. The real problem is that Police and RWC/Pink/Blue slip people will say it needs engineering, and the engineers will state it doesn't need engineering. It is hugely irritating when aforementioned people get all "i know the rules mate feck off" when they don't, and the actual engineers are pleasant as all hell and do know the rules. Cars failing RWC for things that aren't listed in the RWC requirements is another thing here entirely!
    • I don't. I mean, mine's not a GTR, but it is a 32 with a lot of GTR stuff on it. But regardless, I typically buy from local suppliers. Getting stuff from Japan is seldom worth the pain. Buying from RHDJapan usually ends up in the final total of your basket being about double what you thought it would be, after all the bullshit fees and such are added on.
    • The hydrocarbon component of E10 can be shittier, and is in fact, shittier, than that used in normal 91RON fuel. That's because the octane boost provided by the ethanol allows them to use stuff that doesn't make the grade without the help. The 1c/L saving typically available on E10 is going to be massively overridden by the increased consumption caused by the ethanol and the crappier HC (ie the HCs will be less dense, meaning that there will definitely be less energy per unit volume than for more dense HCs). That is one of the reasons why P98 will return better fuel consumption than 91 does, even with the ignition timing completely fixed. There is more energy per unit volume because the HCs used in 98 are higher density than in the lawnmower fuel.
    • No, I'd suggest that that is the checklist for pneumatic/hydraulic adjustable systems. I would say, based on my years of reading and complying with Australian Standards and similar regulations, that the narrow interpretation of Clause 3.2 b would be the preferred/expected/intended one, by the author, and those using the standard. Wishful thinking need not apply.
    • Yes they do. For some maybe. But for those used the most by abusers, ie Skylines, the numbers are known. The stock eyebrow height for R32/3 Skylines is about 365/375mm or thereabouts. The minimum such heights are recorded in adjacent columns in the database.
