Pfffttt, i think there tools, i dont car about wings and body kits, but if u stick a GTR badge on it your a tool end of story. Ive owned a GTR, And still have 2 GTS/T's and would never ever put a badge on them that made them out to be something there not.

Best comment about blacky from some dude that came and saw it at the drags..

"oh so it really does have a V8, i thought u were some tool that just put badges on your car...."

ok guys im a proud owner of a R33 GTST .. rebaged as a GTR and heck proud of it for what it is.For me its like driving my GTR ( which i also own) but without the high insurance prices , not having to worry about some idoit scratchin my paint (catanua splash halaqin) and lesser attention from cops, i think anyone who owns a skyline can do as they please it is their money and time .. heck ive seen r31 Pintara's with GTR badges on them...

im trying to get gts-t badges that look like gtr style badges from overseas, but with not much luck...i have no trouble getting gts-r badges either...so i think that is a better alternative then putting a gtr badge on a gts-t...but thats the owners choice...so im cool either way....as long as its a nissan, who cares

Yay Arbess!!! A GTR owner who gets it!!! Doesn't discriminate and doesn't judge. A Skyline is a Skyline. I hate hearing that crap about how us 'poor' GTS-T owners need to earn more money to get a GTR!! I Chose the GTS-T for my own reasons, and judging by the amount GTR owners have to spend to make more power, it is a clear cut win to the GTS-T crowd. There are more of us and there always will be, so get along or don't, your elitism is unwarranted and sad.

Sorry to all those GTR owners who do socialise with us, but most don't want to.

ok, if that is the case, why do these guys continue to put GTR badges on thier GTS-Ts to make them look "tough"??

Shouldn't they be happy with the fact that thier skyline is a GTS-T and not feel the need to impersonate a GTR??

hey i have to admit im guilty of this. i own a r33 gts-t and i put a gtr front bar and grill on my vehicle not because i wanted to immitate one but becuase i genuinly like the design over the 400r's, veilside & all the rest. i used to be the same as most people here and not really agree on putting gtr badges on gts-t's but the problem was the gtr grill has a strip down the middle where the badge sticks onto and without any badge there it looked awful. ive only ever seen one gts-t badge in the same design as the gtr and ive been told it was custom done. so even though it looks kinda stupid having a gtr badge on a gts-t it looks way better than having no badge at all. therefore it shall stay there until i find a better replacement & its not like im trying to deceit anyone or be tough

im not against putting on gtr style gear like bodykits, wheels gauges etc its all customizing your car to the way you like it and i imo thats the only reason I do it is to not look like anyone else and to take pride in what i drive, but badging a car something its not is just stupid, I mean its like a commo driver puting grange badges on a povity pack sedan its just plain dumb. everyone knows its not what the badge is so take pride in what u drive just cause its not a gtr doesnt mean its still not an awesome ride and there a few gtsts i would own b4 some of the other gtr's out there

My car came with a genuine GTR rear wing but I later removed it because everyone had huge aerofoils etc. Then after a short while, everyone went wingless including a lot of GTR's because it makes a GTS-T look wider and lower! (Not by any means sugesting that I'm a trend setter as my car sits in the garage ALOT).

So now every ones wingless, I put mine back on as I don't see many 32's sporting a GTR wing!

I also debadged my car because I like the smooth understated (wolf in sheeps clothing) look. None of this was done with the intension to fake GTR status but more as an attempt to make my car appealing to me!

In the subject of how my car looks = I don't care what other people think because it's MY car and MY money.

I see it all day on prestige cars with M Power and AMG badges on the lowest spec. car of the range with some cheap muffler banged on the back willy nilly! Now there are a couple of funny things about this

1. Being that usually these cars are worst the maintained clapped out bangers that come through the workshop &

2. The type of person that would notice the badge and be impressed by the real model it represents would also very quickly identify that it's just a dunger with a badge and the frase "What a tosser" comes to the mouth without further thought!

It is personal choice but you're making the choice to say to the rest of the world that you feel inadequate and you need a badge to feel bigger in the world and keep up with the jones's!

I do agree with a previous post though, that a GTR badge is better than no badge if there is a defined spot where there should be one.

    • Nah that is not actually a lot. Just painting my GTR frontend and the little bits to make sideskirts/nismo flare pieces work correctly/fit on the sedan/mount up correctly came to about $7000. Is it a lot? Sure. None of this is economical. Economy would be shelling the car and buying a 2010 Corolla to commute in. The perspective of all of this is different.
    • I have the 2025 build re003s’ on my 06 XT Forester Turbo and I quite rate them for street wet and dry
    • I don't see any issues here. I've been saying all along this is a big job, the price reflects that.  When the car comes back perfect I'm sure it will feel like money well spent.
    • Remember, take original quote. Double it. Then add a bit more. It's how any project goes.
    • So, I started this repair and got as far as "fixing" the holes with some fibreglass. God all those years working on boats came back quickly. I decided I'd reach out to some rust guys just to see what they would say about it. I came across a guy about 40 mins away and went to see him. He said the windscreen needs to come out, that there might be some more bits around the windscreen and he'd quote them at the time. But his quote was $300 to remove and replace windscreen and $3k for the damage he can see. He said he could respray the roof for $1200 and the bonnet for another $800 (somebody has previously rattle canned it, its horrendous). This is $5300 + any small additional bits. It's a lot, I get that and the name of one of my fave youtube channels 'Not Economically Viable' comes to mind.  I'm not being financially rational, but I've taken him up on the quote. He's opening a new shop in November with more room, so we're waiting for that. I'll leave the currently missing headliner out until then. I'm looking forward to it being fixed and having the paint looking nice again (lots of clear coat issues on the roof too). / flame suit on.
