You can afford to raise the height of the car, easy fix for clearance

She drives really well thanks Bobby.

There's a li'l bit of scrubbing on the front tyres, so I'm thinking of lower profile or rolling the guards (which I've been told not to).

I think we might meet at some stage time/commitment permitting.

Again, thanks to all of you guys for support - the more warped it is, my humour appreciates it.

I run the 255/35 on the front. Mine are rolled.

Honestly Terry I'd have the front slightly rolled.

If it's the original paint and guard warmed before rolling there will be no paint flake.

(Resprayed guards and doing them cold will cause that crack and flake to happen)

Thanks for your input to Mick.

So it looks like...

1) tyre change to 35 profile

2) source progressive springs to suit Bilsteins > raise car

3) yet to be considered > guard rolling

One of the things I'd purchased before receiving the car, thinking, "What do I need a glovebox for anyway?"

Not sure if I'll be looking over to the left that much though...

The rack Richard makes it (the R32) feel heavier than what it is. Or the corollary: the R34's rack makes it feel lighter than what it is.

Yes I like its 'rawness' a great deal. The R33 (which was my first GT-R) had a bit more oversteer which I actually liked.

I'm glad that I have upgraded the brakes, rotors, brake lines and castor rods on this R32.

Very well behaved. This is my 5th GT-R.

The 35 profile tyres have now eliminated scrubbing (compared to 40)

Thanks for asking :)

    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
