14 psi is a lot for a standard turbo.. too much for mine, for instance

yeah still the standard turbo, injectors and fuel pressure. car was properly strapped and in shoot_6f with correct dyno cell info entered

its quiet possible, i got 220rwkw with a stock turbo on mine, i had the following:

stock turbo

custom exhaust manifold

turbo back 3" exhaust (split dump pipe)

Blitz POD

FMIC

SAFC II

electronic boost controller

we pushed it to just over 1bar on the dyno, but for regular driving i kept it on 12psi (for safety reasons)..

you can see the spiking due to the cheap hybrid electronic boost controller i had at the time, with the new turbosmart valve it actually holds boost a lot better..

Dyno charts don't mean squat. Get a group of cars, at the same dyno, on the same day, then you can compair mods to power.

220 sounds really high for a stock turbo. At 13psi i would expect 180-200rwkw max. There is no rule for max boost on stock turbo, it is basically like playing "Russian roullette". Some turbos can live on 15psi for years without any problem, others will blow on 10psi after a couple of months. Your turbo is more likely to blow at anything over 12psi, but mine lasted for years at 13psi and still was in good condition when i sold it to upgrade to a bigger turbo.

I don't get it, do people like wishing their turbo hangs together all the time? Is the thrill of knowing your turbo could let go at any time and possibly damage your engine that good? Maybe this sort of mentality explains a lot of blown engines/parts? I think i might be onto something here..

yeah...its kind of like mastabating with a cheese grater

hi guys,

here is the dyno run as requested. i apologise it is only the 219.7rwkw run that we printed off, so i guess i dont have 220kw but close enough. I am not really expecting the turbo to hang on for that long but there is plenty of fuel there so we'll see. If this little exercise has only done one thing thou, it has definatley shown me the advantages of working with your selected tuner to achieve the results you desire.

the chiptorque crew spent a fair share of their free time to get that done for me, and so i must recommend them to all u guys as a fantastic business that will get you the results you want.

cheers

Both dyno sheets posted that have made 220rwkw odd are not holding that 14psi or whatever to peak power...

So... Peak power of 219rwkw was made on roughly 12.6psi and the other dude that made 220rwkw... That was on a shade over 10psi.

So yes.. hrmmmmm, either way its a power figure... Who cares, A real 220rwkw I'd expect a high 12 sec pass with a good driver.

200rwkw.. A low 13. Once again with a decent driver who can drive.

    • I've heard the Tomei USA head gaskets are decent if you want to o-ring the heads but otherwise not recommended.
    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
    • Since winter isn't that harsh anymore in Poland, i will definetely drive it 365 days a year 😉. But if the snow hits i will try it for sure and let U know. Only swap i am planning to do is of course R34 GTR front 😍.
    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
