It does habe that but nismo cluster, also it doesnt illuminate and apparently converted to mechanical rear diff so no cooling fins & hydraulic piping is not present or has been removed?

I would not trust the Nismo Cluster, as it is aftermarket and they all have the A-LSD Light.

Also they are all 320 Km/h Speedos.

Legit R33 GTR V-Spec Clusters would all have 180 Km/h Speedos with the A-LSD Light.

Don't think so, it would just be the Base Model set up.

Why would you bother down grading a V-Spec to a Base model? It would be pointless and a waste of time.

Did the seller tell you it was a V-Spec?

Yeah he did and i checked everything but he said it was converted to mechanical which i can understand as the alsd isnt as responsive as a normal lsd but yeah my hunch was right oh well

Maybe a weight thing to remove it all but like you said why would you bother! Its frustrating when people mod cars and they can lose their identity so the story of why things arent there check out, to be honest i would have eventually gone for at minimum a 1.5 way diff so it still would have lost its original alsd functionality anyway. Atm im currently rebuilding the engine so looks like i lucked out twice! Thats cars though, but i love it!

Ah well, if that's the case and the normal LSD is more responsive then the A-LSD, then it's some what a win for you :)

Also, there is nothing too special / different when comparing a Base Model VS a V-Spec.

Engine / Turbos are the same.

V-Spec's weight more / A less responsive A-LSD

Has firmer (Sportier) Suspension and a lower ground clearance but I assume you would have a set of aftermarket suspension hence making the stock setup irrelevant.

It's just bragging rights and a "V-Spec" sticker on the boot lid :P

True, unless it's a track car to save that every bit of weight, there is no point in removing it.

You rebuilding it or a workshop?

Haha yeah true (bragging rights) it has hks coil overs all round so that takes care of the stiffer suspension. Im building myself, not the machine work but everything else will be from my own hands. After a long 2 days i now have the engine out stripped and head off so over the next couple weeks ill be hunting parts etc and commencing forged rebuild with all oil mods etc if you look up Nissan skyline owners Australia on Facebook you can see pics of progression its a mammoth job lol

That's it.

Cool will have a look and all the best!

Thanks for FASTING 6U900WGNC34135673 for me. Sorry to be a slight pain in the A

But I was wondering if you could list the factory options that it came with too.. thanks again,

    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
