hey troy, I just wanted to publicly let you know that this morning on the way to work today I felt this huge pressure down low. Because I got up really early I didnt have time to use the toilet. I really needed to relieve myself and in doing so I let off this gigantic fart, right into your seat. The propulsion of this fart actually lifted me off the seat.

Ive tried vacuuming, spraying, every deodorizing technique I can find, but this smell wont go away.

I nearly suffocated driving home today

Do you still want it back?

Had a look Yvette and I have my GTR Fuel rail but the buggers musn't have given me back the stock Fuel Reg.

You could try the Wanted to Buy section or maybe bite the bullet and by aftermarket for $100-$150 (Sard)

Thanks Sinista32, it seems stock ones don't get given back unfortunately... WidebodyGTR is going up to Sydney this weekend and is going to see if his tuner has one lying around - if not I'll part ways with a few bucks (I'm getting used to that with the 32 ;) ) and buy one. I'm running a Sard now but need to stock it up for engineering. Fun times! :)

Really? It's the first time for me getting a car engineered, so when I was told I'd need a standard fuel pressure reg I accepted what the engineer said. Have you guys had cars engineered with aftermarket regs?

Hey all finily after many of years I'm in a skyline but to get my beast passed for rego I belive my 20" rims won't pass so if any one has a full set of stock with good tyre maybe I could borrow for a day or two

Ok just received my vehicle from compliance took it to Dickson and they said this

Tint: Is too much

Exhaust: 94db

Spare wheel needs a sticker

Scissor jack needs a warning sign

Can i borrow someones scissor jack and the spare wheel. Ill have to work out the tint. If possible during the weekend or earlier.

Apparently i dont need an identity check so, just certificate of inspection. Does that mean i can take my car somewhere else where its likely to be passed because they are not some argo shits with hate on imports.

lol - that sucks.

Tint - meh ok if over 30-35%

Exhaust - wow that is so damn close I am seriously impressed.

It's good that it is realy minor mate. I wouldn't be complaining.

All in all an awesome result - but if it just came from being complied I'd take it back to them as it failed.

    • Nah. You need 2x taps for anything that you cannot pass the tap all the way through. And even then, there's a point in response to the above which I will come back to. The 2x taps are 1x tapered for starting, and 1x plug tap for working to the bottom of blind holes. That block's port is effectively a blind hole from the perspective of the tap. The tapered tap/tapered thread response. You don't ever leave a female hole tapered. They are supposed to be parallel, hence the wide section of a tapered tap being parallel, the existince of plug taps, etc. The male is tapered so that it will eventually get too fat for the female thread, and yes, there is some risk if the tapped length of the female hole doesn't offer enough threads, that it will not lock up very nicely. But you can always buzz off the extra length on the male thread, and the tape is very good at adding bulk to the joint.
    • Nice....looking forward to that update
    • Neg, the top one is actually for the front. The sizes are 18x10.5 +18 and 18x11 +32.   I measured many times but I'm sure I'll have problems as this is the thread for problems.
    • Just one thing; tapping tapered threads is tricky. Taps are always tapered and you would generally run it as far as you can, but with a tapered thread you have to stop much sooner otherwise the wide part of the taper will run in too far and you will have to thread the sensor in too far too as well (possible that it will never make a good seal) BTW nice wide wheels, I guess the top one is for the back!
    • Welp, good to know. Will have to wait awhile until steady hands with drills and taps are available. In other news, these just arrived! I will weigh them for posterity. Edit: 11kg each (or 10.9/11.1 depending on what my scale decides over multiple tests, the 18x11 don't seem to weigh noticeably any more than 10.5)
