my bro's selling his CA18DET 1990 silvia, it's manual, sunroof, hicas, abs, 17 inch crome rims, cat back exhaust, turbo timer........even though its turbo it's still very economical in my opinion, but then im comparng it to my supra.

It hasnt been driven in a year, only started every now and then, got de-licenced when we went overseas, and only just got it registered this week, so it went over the pits and you know it's roadworthy. mechanically it's faultless, we put in a new power steering rack and new brake rod bushes so it can go over the pits. Only problem i know of is brake pads might need changing as its not braking the best, but then again the guy at the pits passed it so it cant be that bad.

He wants round $9,000 for it, but it is negotiable. Make an offer.

One more thing, dash has just been changed as the old digital head up display one stuffed up (common problem ive been told), so now it has the analogue one, but if u find a digital one then the head up display will work also. As far as odometer, this one shows 70K, the one before was about 90K, but as u know with these cars, not even the last one could be trusted, only way you can convince yourself of the mileage is the condition of the car, and this one certainly doesn't show wear, drives very nice.

he needs to get rid of this to make room cos he's buying an r34.

When it comes to daily drivers I love my late model Magnas.

Cheap as chips to buy. (2 to 3year old examples with 50K's go thru Pickles each week from between 10 - 12G)

Plenty of power / torque. (High 15's from the factory, great for winning 'form 1 lane' races!)

Great fuel economy. (Mine runs around 9L/100kms)

Reliable. (3yrs ownership 70'000kms - and except servicing Expenditure = $0)

Heres mine, altough is due for replacement (with another Magna) very soon

what about a rs liberty - 2.5lt boxer engine, all it needs is a decent zorst and voila for about 10-12g's (if ur lucky to get one for a decent price) one of the best sleeper cars - almost the same as a wrx (awd and all that) but its got a 2.5 lt (non-turbo but if u can get a rs turbo its even better) engine, not a 2 lt

you can buy my excel for $5000

its had about $3500 repairs done to it - new head, radiator, aircon condensor etc, relativly new clutch, new front tyres, whole new front end (thanks to a prang - no chassis damage)

:D:):(

suzuki mightyboy FTW

3 cyl 800cc - great fuel economy

surprisingly has quite a bit of room behind the two seats

its a ute so you have room to stash stuff in the tray/fill up with ice and beer

I speak from experience... just add some cool stickers, a 5" monster tacho with shift light, and 2x 15" subs!!!

I did... it made the girls weak at the knees and kept me and the boys in hysterics!

Best thing is it's near impossible to get a speeding ticket as the fasted I could get the thing was 108km/h downhill with a strong breeze behind me!

If laugage space is of no concern, you're under 5'7" and you can live with a 2 seater go for the Suzuki Cappacino >_< They are GREAT on fuel, great in traffic and ALOT of fun to drive.

3cyl Turbo

This one has already been sold, but i still miss my mate having it :(

PS: This car just had a Suzuki Motorsport upgrade - $1200 (ECU, turbo, injectors) made 65rwkw, had an exhaust (cat back) and some shocking tyres with heaps of sidewall flex. But still managed to beat and overtake a few lightly modified skylines (exhaust, cooler, rims) at Winton Rwy :D All other components were std, including suspension, etc :D

There is no easy fix there is no i'll just order that part and get it sent - we'll have a talk to people see what can happen and what the go is but at minimum its rebuild from scratch struts forward and alot of time effort and $ should and if I return and if but maybe/ when  I have the cage tied into the front strut towers - if I didnt have that things couldnt been worse you can say its just a front end but if you know what goes into these cars... you'll know what that actually means in reality   Car was very fast. Disappointing we just didnt get to show it Effort doesnt win you races though     Apparently this is motorsport !
    • Thanks, will do that.  Thankfully they still feel great.
    • Yeah man, absolutely. You can try pushing me all the way in swapping the R34 for an E9x M3
    • It's almost certainly going to be some amount of pads compound transfer onto the rotors. It will probably go away after you've run them for a bit. If not, pull it all out, lightly sand the rotors, scuff the pads, and rebed.
    • no one recommending speedtek gearsets?   i'm in the same boat as Cosline but rwd, I am holding boost back in third to 600nm at the hubs to save the gear as i make nearly 750nm at the hubs on a mainline
