Lizzy,,,glad your alright girl. I was very worried when I 1st heard.

As fatzman said,,,drag the bits out and start again,,,pity really,,,I liked naths work. What about a Gazelle coupe this time?.

I'm just glad your okay.

Neil

that sucks liz. it's always harsh to get punished for someone elses mistakes. i hope you have comp insurance and if you do, ring them right away. I have been screwed twice in the past when un-inured knobs hit me, and my cars were also un-insured at the time. the first time cost be about a grand and the second time about three and a half :( now i always make sure my cars have full comp insurance to protect me from other bone heads mistakes.

it will be tough going for you as I guess they'll just pay you out for a non-turbo silvia  if you can try and buy the wreck so you can get the engine back (if it's ok).

on the bright side you still have your health! so booze on I say and start looking for a new car.

    • I see those two Stageas have the "punched 40mm hole" deregistered Japanese number plates 👍 Nice kouki group shot with the different colours too.
    • Ended up just being a loose exhaust bolt luckily.
    • Yeah I made that post way too early, sorry I must have assumed it was bad because it's a 20+ year old thrashed shitbox lol. It was just a loose exhaust bolt.
    • Like others have said, drop the power to give your drivetrain a % of reliability until you can up the drivetrain reliability  It isn't rocket science, build power to the weakest link with a % of safety Whilst upping the the reliability of the drive train is costly, there's no point in having the engine make big power if it keeps eating the drivetrain....ask me how I know, I had the tow truck on speed dial for a few years, and I spent huge amounts of money fixing issues and breakages that really would have been cheaper in the long run if I did it right the first time Me, I like a nice sized fudge factor, that keeps me off the tow truck
    • I don't understand what the issue is with, turn the boost down and start saving $$.  As soon as you can afford the supporting mods, turn the boost back up.  If the car is running fine, enjoy it. Turning the boost down isn't going to kill you.
