So the high pressure bucket thingo is still illegal. At stage 2 at home you can use a bucket or high pressure cleaner and a hose only for rinsing. So its legal until 1st Jan.

No you recycle your shit to get water out... :ninja:

Anyone remember "Tank Girl?" They stuck that can into another person and extracted the water out (killing the person the process).

yeah, i could think of a few people i would want to do that to.....bracks :ninja:

Spend a little on good quality surface protectants/waxes...

Once applied it takes as little as $1-$2 at carlovers.. high pressure soap.. high pressure rinse.. spot free rinse

Perfectly clean.. as long as you dont let the dirt build up on your car..

Works for me..

Thats a good idea, but where do you was your car before you wax if?? Your still going to have to wash it at home then wax it straight way

Well we arent in stage 3 yet... you can still use a High Pressure at home.. or if you like... go to carlovers and wash.. come home.. wipe over with microfibre to remove any dust that may have landed on your car in the short drive home... Start waxing.. or you can take your wax with you if its one that can be applied in the sun

If you want a quick easy polish/protectant.. Turtle Wax ICE seems to do the job.. Nice and easy to apply and remove.. Shines like a mofo and hides swirls, Can be used on taillights, rubbers, headlights and also clear coat safe.. can be used in DIRECT SUNLIGHT!

Ive got a whole garage full of various products for detailing.. Do family/friends cars as well.. I enjoy making a car shine like it should

Meguairs NXT seems good too.. and Mothers 3 step system... (more for a car thats had no loving in a while)

Working for a part of Melbourne Water I can tell you that they have started the planning stages for a $380 million dollar desalination plant in Victoria.

The BS bracks was carrying on about during the elections about industry, especially powerstations using recycled water instead of fresh water with the installation of a new pipeline so that millions of fresh water would be saved, the planning for that hasent even started!!

I work at 1 of the water treatment plants and we had recycled water which is called 2W water that we could put in portable water tanks and then take home to water the garden etc. Some silly f*ker recently drank some of the water and got sick so they have not restricted the public taking any away.

I got a 2500L rainwater tank at my new place with a electric pump that the toilet uses when theres water in the tank, which I am gonna rewire with a hose so I can use it as a pressure cleaner also for washing my car.

There is always one who has to drink it!

big no no, swirl city... even if it's light dust. Just take wax to the car wash. Simple.

    • Bummer...yeah i "need" something to "ease" up the work and for my driving it would be enough.    Iam counting the tune "without" turbo. I do not mean "cheap" like something from Temu around 200 USD, "Cheap" is something around 1000 USD?
    • Starter motors used to use the weight of metal (magnets) to provide torque. Now they use (more) current instead. This. It's completely normal.
    • So thing that had me stumped, but I think is OK....is that when it was up in the air, in neutral I had it running to bleed to coolant while I put the wheels back on. I noticed the rears were turning (slowly) which I'd never seen before 20250928_163512.mp4     Because there had been an issue with clutch slip due to pedal adjustment on the dyno, I assumed there was still and issue so spent some quality time upside down under the dash adjusting the pedal....but no matter what I did the wheels still turned in neutral. Even disconnected the master cylinder to pedal rod and same. In despair, I even removed the clutch slave so there was no chance of any preload causing it.....still happened. So either: 1. Something is not right in the bellhousing, or 2. Its a thing sometimes with cold, thick gearbox oil Internet says it might be 2, I hope so!
    • OK, few more things sorted and it is ready for a shakedown on 10-Oct, with one weird thing. Changed the run in oil and filter for the good stuff. 8l came out, about 8.5 went in with filter so that looks all good. Changed the starter (again), this time for a brand new one, works good. Interesting that the Taaaarks one is shorter than factory but spins harder, I guess electronics have moved on a little in the last 30 years. Will be nice to have a bit of extra space under there. Put the timing cover back on, and noted where the cam gears were set as a record.  Will need to double check the timing but it is pretty close. Also put the coil pack cover and intake snorkel back on. Exhaust Inlet Changed the water out for coolant, bled up nicely. Removed the rear brake pads (well worn factory sumitomo ones!), gave the hardware a good clean and reassembled. I've put bendix XP on the back again because the price is excellent at $150 a set and they worked well on the V37. Front pads have plenty so no issue there
