Who Can Get Ebc Greenstuff?

This car is not ever used for track work

Its just daily driving/spirited *cough*

Perhaps 1 or 2 trips to the drags.... perhaps.

read a few posts saying SS-S endless pads are excellent and then another thread saying its co-efficient or someshizz is too low.

and that DS2500's are good.

I have only ever used stock and ebc greenstuff on the r33's...figure its time for a change.

Are these ferodos as good as people claim.. or is the japanese brand the way to go.. Hoping to not spend over $300 on a set of fronts that will improve over stock while maintaining the NO NOISE factor of stock

just pick one and tell who is gonna get em cheap..

oooh also anyone know anything about SBS... race brakes guy said he is getting some of these.. but not sure about them.. he knows ferodos.

I've got DS2500 on slotted DBA's and they work great...i'm happy

On the negative, they do produce a bit of dust but I wouldnt agree with Nuffsaid; they're not that dusty. I guess its what your prepated to put up with. If dust is a concern you can get a wheel sealant from waxit.com which I hear is good at cutting down the cleaning effort. Noise wise...well yes they are a bit noisey until I get a bit of temp into them...and yes i've tried the ususal solutions to keep them quiet.

Hmm, I use DS2500's & I am very happy with them.

Some things to note:

They really aren't that dusty.

They will make a little noise when cold, but the best cure for this is to bed them in properly. They come with instructions - so follow the instructions.

They appear to be fairly gentle on the rotors.

Mine cost <$300 for the fronts, delivered.

oh and some more ebc greenstuffs... or perhaps redstuff..

just depends really... greenstuffs nevermade a squeek when i had them on the 33's

its just a tough sorta choice..

That EBC greenstuffs will suit my needs.......so can anyone get hookups for pricing..at or around or preferably under $200 for an R34 front pair

How did we go with this Riaz? anybody find you a set of these for under $200? i am needing a new said of pads for the front aswell, budget minded so looking for something under $200 as well, either green stuff or bendix ultimates, am renovating sly so to speak and cant be bothered cleaning of a new set of wheels all the time with brake dust caked up on them

Ive used just about all of the pads suggested, DS2500 where good but dusty as said, Red stuff were very good but cracked my discs, Yellow stuff I found to be the best overall, not that dusty, don't squeak, don't take that long to get up to temp, and stop the wheels real quick! I wont used anything else after a few laps with them in, excellent pads :laugh:

So guys suggest getting EBC Yellow stuff yeh???? I'm thinking of gettin the Bendix Ultimate.. I believe the have a newer version of it now.

MY rears need replacing but front r ok. My plan is to put front onto the back and replace the front... will that b ok or r they different???

Got bendix ultimate on mine front and back, been on for about a year now dont do any hard driving at all. When do you think i should change the pads? They aint that dusty but the yellow ebc ones are alot better if so will buy?

      just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.

      My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.

      To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?

      So, now all you need to do is connect the 2 or 3x 12v feeds into the unit to permanent 12v, ACC 12V and IGN 12V that you can find in the spot behind the stereo, and the earth, and then it will switch on with the car.
