I always thought that if you add a younger GF to your insurance policy, it will make your policy increase in price... wrong!

Women get a totally different end of the stick. Ive just added my younger GF to my policy with Just Cars and the policy remains the same!!

Now she is also covered!

LOL sif let the missus drive me around in my own car

good idea for the rest of you tho

What if you break your legs in a horrible and unlikely steering wheel kneeing incident? :D

"Babe! Babe! I will be ok in the drivers seat while you run and get help"

"Darling, I could drive you to..."

"GO, NO TIME TO LOSE.... MY HEARING IS FADING, AARRRRGGGGHHHH"

.......it's lunch, Im bored

Did you add your older girlfriend as well?

Also, I keep trying to get my g/f to drive my car and her reply is that she never wants to. "It makes weird noises... And I'd kill her if she crashed it" are her words.

I told her if she crashes it, do a bloody good job and right it off so I can get a new one... LOL

you are a pioneer mate, the first person i have ever known that wants his girlfriend to drive his car! the mrs can do whatever she wants to the daily but when it comes to the 33 i could never be pissed enough to let it happen

they are good for driving you around in your car when you have no licence

much better than the car sitting there for months....

My misses was scared to boost it, but did a good job avoiding potholes and the kerb, she liked it because it had GRUNT

i cbf with my heavy duty clutch anymore so i let mates drive around in my car all the time but letting a gf/female friend drve is blasphemy, apart from the fact that would more than likely whinge about everything on my car (too hard suspension, no power sterring etc) is they wouldnt drive a sprinter they way its meant to be driven (my friends atleast)

in all seriousness, when it comes down to it, the insurer will just profile all named drivers and base the premium on the highest risk person. Yes, females in the 20-30 bracket are considered safer drivers and therefore lower risk, hence (for the OP), you are the highest risk of the 2 of you.

My missus is not going anywhere near my insurance policy or my 34

i am with just car and haven't bothered adding other drivers to policy cos they said it will be covered anyway with the same excesses so i just left it.

i let the gf drive the car and she scratched rims which were 2 wks old and then said that she is more important anyway...i didnt reply to that and got a slap for my troubles haha it was worth the look on her face :P

i always get to the point of the night where im out with my best friend (which is a chick) having dinner, then stare at the drink menu and my keys.... drink menu.... keys...... drink menu................. KEYS!

bring on the soft drinks!

I'd rather not drink that not drive my skyline :)

I'm not really into alco anyways.

I'd much rather let my car sit there for a year and just drive it up and down the driveway than to let a someone else touch it.

I'd rather have my car towed home or call my only 1 friend that I trust to drive it to come get it if i'm unable to drive it. Better than to say bye to my car letting someone who has never driven a turbo car before drive.

Driving a skyline is totally different to driving a normal car. If a chick who normally can't drive very well (not saying they're all like that, but i know heaps who are) gets a bit excited and hits it, things could get a bit nasty.

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts
    • Bunnings would have just handed you your money back on that one!
    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
