So if you had the option of either for the same price. what would you choose and why? i can't decide which looks the best and i also like drifting and never drove an awd so i don't know how they go about drifting lol.

But a GTR is a dam GTR!!!!!!

Kit of choice personally for either is the doLuck kit.

Same car??? Yeah... right!!!!

chassis stiffness

width of wheelbase (about 11cm wider)

ability to produce 260rwkw on the stock computer

better seats/driving position

brakes

10 min to drop the front shaft for RWD fun but it will slide fine with the right driver in AWD

put the shaft back in for AWD

Feeling stoopid yet or do I have to continue?

personally i think the 33GTR looks horrible...great perfomance car, but yeh, i think they look hell shit.

id get a 34gt-t and chuk on a gtr kit.

Yer but you like 32's.. nuff said.. (just joking :) )

33GTR is a far superior car to the 34gtt..

but if all you're going on is looks.. i think you need to do more research into what each car is capable of

as to the 33gtr and 34gtt are basically the same car... not even going to dignify with a response

Looks aside, no actually, the only people who think a 32 looks better than a 33 are only compensating for the fact they can't afford the newer model. I only have 3 R33 coupes and 5 cars all up so it isn't a matter of what I can afford.

My outboard on my 6m boat produces more than most RB20's.

hmm, thats interesting, cause both myself and my mate had enuf money for a 33, and we still purchased 32's :)

...but if ur happy with how the 33 looks thats all that matters.

why oh why do these threads continue to pop up.....

First ask yourself what you want from the car....if its for a show-pony or drifter go the 34gtt as it'll be a lot cheaper....if you want motorsport go the gtr....

Fair enough ask peoples opinion (but this has been done before) but at the end of the day its personal choice :)

Chassis rigidity of a R34 GTT is greater than that of a R33 GTR according to Nissans Sales Brochure.

Chassis rigidity of a R34 GTT is greater than that of a R33 GTR according to Nissans Sales Brochure.

You just popped up one of the nagging stats about this decision. Because i' read the 34's chassis was made 53% stiffer than the R33. And R33's are already stiffened up from the 32 so i'm not really sure if all that added stiffness will make much difference.

plus i know the GTR of ANY model is stiffer than that of a GTS T/ GTT. I was talking to a comp drifter last night about this and he rekons the GTT simply because it's cheaper to mod and less things can go wrong etc etc.... but i'm still thinking GTR!! (he currently uses an R33 for his drifting)

Can anyone clarify about the 33 GTR stiffness? people who have experience in driving GTR's would be the best reply!! cheers.

You should get the GT-T. I would hate to see another GTR ruined with a horrible body kit. Woops i mean "fully sick" body kit...

Seriously what do you care if the GTR is stiffer than a GT-T if you're main focus is what pieces of plastic you can glue on to a perfectly decent looking already car.

Likewise, and I opted for a RWD car :) it's not so much about being quick (although it will get there eventually :)), it's about having fun! Personally, I prefer RWD 32's :P

Anyway you have to really decide what you want to do, which is why I have the GTR33 as a daily driver, the GTS25t with 26/30 for track, the auto GTS25t for zapping around the city, the Soarer for cruising long distances and towing the boat and the Lynx for a workhorse to cart and carry. That way there are no compromises.

Anyone want to buy a car? :D

The looks of the car are at the bottom of my priorities (both look awsome and have there strongpoints imo). i'm more intersted in finding out which has the best base for performance/fun/daily driver. and if the 34 has a better designed chassis the 33 can never match up to that (i will not be fitting roll cages).

At this stage i think a top performance factory built car will always win. i do not believe the 54% stiffness increase could of been warranted so much.

Also is the fact that to get a GTT/GTS-T moving at better performance, major mods need to be carried out. this isn't a problem untill the boys in blue decide to check your car out and send you to regency...

At least a GTR comes stock with basically all the performance mods that you would add to a GTT.

As for the 'fully sick' bodykits, i think a good bodykit fitted correctly doesn't ruin any skyline it's when you dump the suspension down so low that your wheel sinks under the fenders that it looks fked.

    • I have more than enough digging, laying blocks, moving gravel, airrating, feeding and top soiling the grass, and setting up the veggie gardens growing some seedlings,  and then removing all the unused rock to keep me busy for the next few months at least,  hopefully the rain stops soon so I can get a few hours in this arvo, but, before that Sunday is washing day, is every body happy, you bet your life we are Nice country road day drives are a day off whenever I'm muscle sore from all the landscaping at the moment, but, more epic multiple day drives will start once the majority of the big jobs outside are completed

    • I thought I'd come back and add something I JUST learned. A Toyota LandCruiser with a 1HZ, mates perfectly with a bottle of Nulon brake fluid. As in, it perfectly screws in. Great make shift funnel when you cut the bottom of it off. This may work for your Corolla.   Unfortunately, tipping a 10L drum is much harder than a 4 to 6L bottle, and they no longer include the easy pour tap which was just perfection to use previously.
    • Guys since i bought r33 gts25t coupe 1994 automatic a/t(manual swap 350z gearbox)  all i got is problems, always problems. Lets start with that when i turn key into ignition(ON) fuel pump doesnt always works. Sometimes i have to turn key twice Off/on/off/on until it primes. Its new, dw300 - 340lph. My gearbox broke so i did gearbox swap, install different intake manifold, injectors and i take pipes. Car was sitting in garage for more than half a year. I did assembly all not that long ago and when i turn ignition cant hear prime. All of sudden it stopped working. Theres many videos on YouTube how to make relay mod on r33 straight from battery so i did and it doesnt work! 😰 30 - battery positive  87 - positive from fuel pump to relay 85, 86 - one of two wires from original fuel pump wires(light blue, grey) and it didn’t work. so I check on ignition and took original BLUE relays wires from trunk, next to fuses. (I believe it’s IGN+ and ECU pin 18. it didn’t work…  tried connecting (IGN+ from og relay) and (ECU 104 from 1of4 FPCM wires) to my new relay 85/86 and it didn’t work.  I unplug FPCM. Didn’t work. im thinking what’s wrong   fuel pump is working, if I leave IGN+ on 85 and 86 straight to ground it works but it’s just nonstop. Since it getting constant 12v after key in ON. light blue wire gives me 6-8v.  so how this should be connected? What causing ECU not giving — on pin? Or I did sth wrong and that’s why it doesn’t work? I need negative signal on ECU that control fuel pump. What this should be?
    • You can use your VIN to look up the factory part number somewhere like amayama, and then look to order new if necessary. https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/nissan Depending on price you might want to rebuild instead. @GTSBoy I had an interesting insight into US market parts when the Titan rear calipers were sticking. New calipers were dirt cheap, about 20% more than a rebuild kit....they are just considered throw away maintenance items
