just 1 question... before you decided to spend all this money on your car did you consider selling it and buying a GTR?? I only ask as you seem like you want a car that will go very quick in a straight line.....many gtr's with stock turbos run quicker than 12.2 (my previous car 33gtr ran 11.9 @115 with stock turbos and road tires)...i like what you have done with your car but would love to know your rationale behind sticking with the gtst as by the ammount of you cash you have spent you could have bought a gtr comfortably?

this i know but 4wd cars are no fun for me!!!! as any one can jump in and rip a half decent time.and its more fun going past them and seeing there faces as if they have just been f#$@ for the first time.....plus i built it and know its limits, how many times i have seen a happy gtr or gtst owner take there car out and blow something up,as for stock gtr's ive run a few and they have not come close..

so thanks for your input but if i want one i can go and by one any time but i just don't care for them.

one of my mates has a very nice one that has run 11.1s many times with 320kw and he has said that mine feels the same as his when i open it up so.!!!

im happy with what ive done, and happy with what im going to do.

and if you read my hole post i built it so i could have "fun" running my mates in there big ass v8's on private track days.

thanks again.

Woah... that GTRS setup is like my dream setup for my car, den i kept reading and the 3037 just unreall... Sooo where/how can i make this sort of money ???

Prostition and drugs is usually the easiest but can be quite difficult with the whole "legal" side of things ;)

read thru this thread. heres what i learned:

1. money cant buy you brains or driving skill.

2. RB25 & 10k < RB26 & bolt-ons

Sorry but i gotta comment on this on your behalf warlord.

1. What the hell does that mean? "Driving Skill"... pretty sure he has run his car down the drags and run a decent time, what did you think it would do, a 9sec pass? Your forgetting its a RWD car, not a AWD GTR, its a lot harder to get a decent time out of a RWD with wheel spin and keeping it straight then just putting a twin plate in a GTR, sitting on limiter, dropping the clutch and holding on.

No brains, please explain this part to me?

2. He has chosen to keep his car very streetable, hence he hasnt wacked on a T88, but something that is a lot more resposive then even the standard twin turbo setup on a RB26 which is pretty shithouse below 4000rpm. He could have if he wanted to put a huge turbo on it and made more power then your "RB26 and bolt ons". Fully built RB25 is just as strong as a fully built RB26 so both can easily handle the big boy turbos if drag times is all that your after, which he quite clearly isn't. Also pretty sure you can't make 320kw@wheels out of a GTR that easily, stock R32/R33 GTR turbos max out at what 240-250rwkw? So a turbo upgrade is needed, closest thing for good response and power on a street GTR is probably something like 2530's or similar. Cost of turbo's, full exhaust, power FC, injectors, fuel pump, intercooler etc etc... well hell what do you know, its pretty much the same stuff he has done to his.

The man has spent a lot of money on his car and has done it the way he has wanted to and its a great setup car. So if you don't have anything contributing to say, don't say it.

i find this statement to be completely hilarious. you could not spell your way out of a wet paper bag and cant even post one complete unfragmented thought. its ok, i blame your school teachers and your parents. they failed you, miserably. LOL turd sniffer? what f**king grade are you in there buddy? LOL.

i feel less intelligent for even responding to your incoherent rambling. look up incoherent. its a great word.

here are some helping hints:

forget is one word, not 2.

your and you're are 2 different words

name calling pretty much dies in elementary school

keep those in mind when responding to people who build their cars, rather than dropping them off at a shop with a barrel of parts and a couple paychecks. that ties in with the "brain" thing.

but again, i blame it all on your parents.

hahaha you really are a complete f*khead

Im not here to get into a big "keyboard warrior" thing, but it's really quite simple. You don't go into someones thread about their pride and joy, which they have spent a lot of time and money on and say that sort of crap. He's been nothing but helpful with any questions asked. I'm not here to stick up for warload, he's doing quite well in calling you a turd sniffer. So you and your "grama policing" can take a walk

at a guess your a doctor thats specialises in colonoscopy?

bingo your right unfortunately most of the rectum polups ive had to deal with are on this fourm from time to time, like travis brokeback.

Mate all I can say is well done!! Thats a killer set up and really good to see you stick with the gts-t also. Its adds a level of surprise when coming up against other people in GTR's.

I have a gts-t and love it to bits and understand as to why you have decided to stick with it.

To that guys who decided to be rude thats no way to make friends in this forum. Anyways once again top stuff.

Nice work on the setup :) . Im just abou 2 undergo this my self. every1 keeps goin get the gtr and do it up but im like u and luv the rear wheel drives. Id luv 2 own a gtr but i get more excitment out of the rear wheel drives. Once again nice setup

Warlord, firstly let me state i am not defending travis, he clearly dropped some unwarranted comments.

But seriously, your reply (or counter attack) was rediculously childish. "poo boy"(???), come on ask yourself is that not the response of an angry 12 year old??

Like i said im not defending his initial agitating response, and youve certainly done some great things with your car, but dignify yourself with some decent and mature responses rather than this schoolboy-like retaliation.

Keep up the good work

Why not add some humour into the argument?? Why does it have to be all hatred and swearing that's why. Anyway what a way to go off topic. Nice car must be a real weapon i bet you're glad to have it all done!:)

warlord - its good to read your humour, im definitely cacking myself here...you need to take this bantering as a compliment as i know from past experience ppl who envy what others have often come out with ridiculous negativity which should be unheard of - in other words all these other ppl that have nothing better to say 'PULL YOUR HEAD IN'

(oops i should have performed a spell check before posting my thread LOL)

p.s. im the guy with the 11.1 gtr :) 10 pass is just around the corner

    • Cheers. Skyline is back on the menu, can’t get rid of it. It’s like a child you don’t want, or herpes
    • I got back to Japan in January and was keen to get back on track as quickly as possible. Europe is god-awful for track accessibility (by comparison), so I picked up a first-gen GT86 in December just to have something I could jump into right away. The Skyline came over in a container this time and landed in early January. It was a bit battered after Europe, though—I refused to do anything beyond essential upkeep while it was over there. The clutch master cylinder gave out, and so did the power steering. I didn’t even bother changing the oil; it was the same stuff that went in just before I left Japan the first time. Naughty. Power steering parts would’ve cost double with shipping and taxes, so knowing I’d be heading back to Japan, I just postponed it and powered through the arm workout. It took a solid three months to get the car back on the road. Registration was a nightmare this time around. There were a bunch of BS fees to navigate, and sourcing parts was a headache. I needed stock seats for shaken, mistakenly blew 34k JPY on some ENR34 seats—which, of course, didn’t fit—then ended up having the car’s technical sheet amended to register it as a two-seater with the Brides. Then there’s the GT86. Amazing car. Does everything I want it to do. Parts are cheap, easy to find, and I don’t care what anyone says—it’s super rewarding to drive. I’ve done a few basic mods: diff ratio, coilovers, discs, pads, seat, etc. It already had a new exhaust manifold and the 180kph limiter removed, so I assume it’s running some kind of map. I’ve just been thrashing it at the track non-stop—mostly Fuji Speedway now, since I need something with higher speed after all that autobahn time. The wheels on the R34 always pissed me off—too big, and it was a nightmare getting tires to fit properly under the arches. So I threw in the towel and bought something that fits better. Looks way cleaner too (at least to me)—less hotboy, less attention-seeking. Still an R34, though. Now for future plans. There are a few things still outstanding with the car. First up, the rear subframe needs an overhaul—that’s priority one. Next, I need to figure out an engine rebuild plan. No timeline yet, but I want to keep it economical—not cutting corners, just not throwing tens of thousands at a mechanic I can barely communicate with. And finally, paint. Plus a bit of tidying up here and there.
    • Nope, needed to clearance under the bar a little with a heat gun, a 1/2" extension as the "clearancer", and big hammer, I was aware of this from the onset, they fit a 2.0 with this intake no problems, but, the 2.5 is around 15mm taller than a 2.0, so "clearancing" was required  It "just" touched when test fitting, now, I have about 10mm of clearance  You cannot see where it was done, and so far, there's no contact when giving it the beans Happy days
    • It's been a while since I've updated this thread. The last year (and some) has been very hectic. In the second-half of 2024 I took the R34 on a trip through Germany, Italy, France and Switzerland - it was f*cking great. I got a little annoyed with the attention the car was getting around Europe and really didn't drive it that much. I could barely work on the car since I was living in an inner-city apartment (with underground parking). During the trip, the car lost power steering in France - split hose - and I ended up driving around 4,000kms with no power steering.  There were a few Nurburgring trips here and there, but in total the R34 amassed just shy of 7,000kms on European roads. Long story short, I broke up with the reason I was transferred to Europe for and requested to be moved back to Japan. The E90, loved it. It was a sunk cost of around EUR 10,000 and I sold it to a friend for EUR 1,500 just to get rid of it quickly. Trust me, moving countries f*cking sucks and I could not be bothered to be as methodical as I was the first time around.
