Hi ... I may have missed it but can anyone tell me where the TV Tuner is located in the M35 Stagea.

Hi Grant

The TV tuner is located on the left hand side of boot behind the trim. Just in front of the pocket on the left in the boot. You will need to remove the trim panels to get at it.

Cheers

Hi mate:

I don't know, form does not allow me to edit to re upload the picture.

You can also go one step further when intergrating the ipod through the stereo. All you can buy in Australia is the 3.5mm headphone jack to RCA plugs. The problem with using these with the stereo is that the volume is controlled from the ipod.

One better is a cable that plugs in off the standard Ipod plug in the base that goes to RCA and will charge the ipod. I purchased mine from the US from this site, http://www.oemautosound.com/pc-353-194-ipo...ging-cable.aspx.

If any one is interested I have one available that I do not need. It is the stereo version (2 plugs) and doen not have the video output.

Cheers

Andy

PS. Frank, great thread.

Yeah, i bought a composite cable for my ipod (includes video RCA) that also charges the ipod aswell.

Is there a way to bi-pass the TV AV and go straight into the AUX in the screen i think it would improve the sound quality alittle.

Hello,

I cannot find the TV tuner on my 2003 350 GT (Japanese import). I can see the Bose amp, but there is nothing on top of that.

I have the TV option, since a snowy screen appears on the display when TV mode is selected.

Do you guys have an idea where I can find the tuner ? I did look all over the boot with no luck.

Thanks all

Gerald

Hey Chris,

Here is the picture you asked me for: post-52623-1214314612_thumb.jpg

You can see that there's nothing on top of the Bose amp.

I've also included a photo of the front panel

you can see that there is no tv button but an A/V one.

I think that an optional Xanavi navigation system has been retrofitted to the car. The third image is a remote control, see this link for more info. http://www.nissan.co.jp/EN/navi.html

The language is all Japanese.

What do you get if you disconnect your tv tuner ? I might have one hidden somewhere because of the snowy screen displayed when TV mode is selected.

Thanks again for your help.

Gerald

now thats different. never seen that. screen will complain with no tv tuner attached. keep digging its there somewhere. rip the carpet out of the side. I can't see nissan building a 10th harness for these things. tv antennas are back in that corner so the rest should be too.

pm me your phone number- want to chat :(

    • You know how your car rolled through a fence in your last jacking escapade? Scissor jacks increase the likely hood of that sort of thing happening immensely!

    • Just trying to get my head around this. At 5psi of boost, you turn on your wmi pump, and then you're using a 3000cc injector, to allow flow upto the actual engine, where you have your 6x200cc injectors and a 500cc injector. If the above is correct, what advantage are you obtaining by having the 3000cc injector blocking flow, is this just incase a line breaks between that injector and the motor you can stop flow immediately? Or are the 6x200cc and 500cc less injectors and just spray nozzle?
    • Welcome! New member myself, but I had an R33 back in 2002. Best advice I could give, based on my experience: if you're running the factory turbo, be very conservative with boost. I made the mistake of just fiddling around with the boost controller and cranking the boost for fun, and the end result was my intake pipes popping off frequently from the constant deluge of oil that was being blown into the recirc by the stressed-out turbo, which itself was siphoning oil from the engine and farting it out both sides of its centre bearing (or something to that effect). If I could do it all again, I would have gotten a new turbo and had a tune dialled in professionally and then just left it alone! Funny you mention the metal shavings in the gearbox, as I had the same thing - the probe plug (magnetic drain plug, essentially) would come out caked with shavings. At least it was doing its job. Not sure if that's just sacrificial wear and part of the deal, or if my gearbox was shagged, but I wasn't abusing it. Enjoy the R33 - they're a dying breed, and if they weren't $35k+ on CarSales in Queensland, I might have picked up one of those again, instead of the 370GT I own now (though I'm loving the 370GT, that big 3.7L V6 just hits different).
    • Howdy folks. I owned an R33 back in 2002, which was thoroughly beyond my capacity (financially speaking) to maintain/insure, so we parted ways in 2004. Fast forward 21 years (to literally yesterday, in fact) and I'm now the proud owner of a 2007 V36 370GT. I'm happily surprised by how much power the VQ37VHR makes, compared to the RB25DET, considering the latter is turbocharged. I had planned to add a turbo at some point but I'm on the fence about whether I'll even need it (though I do love the sudden onset of extra torque). Any other 370GT owners around the traps, I'd love to hear about your experiences with this car (good and bad).
