If you're an SAU:NSW member then sure :( There's plenty of spaces left

Otherwise, no... for some reason, it's members only...

Easy answer....

To encourage people to join the club,

to make current members stay and be involved,

and supporting the club for future events as thats one of the benefits for being a member, only doing member only days.

And there will certainly be alot more member days only coming up :P

Still can't find it in the events section, can someone point me to the link please.

There's been quite a few threads over the years that drag on about wanting to go go-karting and never get organised, so very keen for a day like this!

Thanks.

Ok, i think it's all just clicked in place for me now. You mean there's a hidden members section? You mean these past years I've been on here there's been a hidden events section that I didn't know about? Kinda pissed off now.

Ok just transferred the fee and faxing the form soon.

Guys, if you are trying to encourage memberships, it makes sense to show people what they are missing out on. People won't pay for something when they don't even know it is there. Might want to put it in the public events section as well as it sounds like a great event that makes people like me finally get off their arse and sign up.

I know, I know I should have signed up earlier, simply the information I have got from this board has been well worth the $60 membership fee. Thanks.

ps. can someone reserve me a spot please till my membership comes through. Cheers.

hehehe :w00t:

Yes, there IS a hidden members forum...

Yes, shit does happen in there...

Yes, it IS worth the $60...

When i signed up, I had no idea about it, i signed up so i can get discounts on other shit the club did... still money well spent if you ask me :)

For the record though, this go karting thing is the first members only thing since I signed up... So you haven't missed out on a lot... But there will most likely be more...

You gonna be there Richard??

We need to have some form of competition...... >_<

I hope so. I'm looking a bit shaky atm. car is half in pieces so I can install:

F+R R32 4.375:1 diffs

new tighter 2 way rear diff

sump baffles

turbos

manifolds

dumps

front pipes

replace tomei lock kit with lock bar

fit PS cooler

new injectors

new afms

new tune

steering rack bushes

new brakes

new engine mounts

new piping kit

new intercooler

new radiator

would like to squeeze a transfer case rebuild in amongst that lot too.

so I have a fair bit of shit to do, but hopefully it will be done in time. if not I might try and bludge a few laps of anyone foolish enough to let me drive their car. :P :PBJ:

Here's my list for entry:

Get rods in the mail, take them to workshop, come back a week later and pickup the finished motor, take motor and shell to different workshop, comeback week later, run in, tune, do a few dawn runs to make sure its all good, then thrash at EC

The times running out but im trying

my stuff which may cause me not to go...

1. fit injectors.

2. fit z32

3. retune car with powerFC to suit all new supporting mods

4. dot5 fluid

5. font brake pads

not as much as BB but not enough $$$ at the moment d'oh

Fark me!!!!

Looks like your building a race car from scratch!!!!

Be good to see it in action, sounds like its gonna be a monster....

I like Hooters!!

I can handle the hot wings too and Dave (T04GTR) cant :w00t:

I like hooters in general, but the hooters at Hooters were pretty ordinary, and the food was the same, at best...

    • Thanks for doing that Duncan! Makes you a good person in my books. We don't get kangaroos or wombats here. But we have bats and it's similar. AFAIK it's often the mums with a baby attached that get hit because they drop lower when starting from a tree. If you hit an animal, check on it. https://www.ifaw.org/au/resources/wildlife-rescue-app An app to get the closest wildlife rescue contact.
    • My dream is also to have a proper hoist, but I don't think it will ever happen. My quickjack is probably as close as I'll ever get, it really is very good though.
    • Yeah we keep on in the dailies, it is pretty poor how many animals get hit and the driver leaves without checking....have saved a couple of little ones over the years. Bit of a gruesome job though, pouches generally need to be cut open because they are so tight and often the joey doesn't realise mum is gone so they are still locked onto the teat. I checked the modules in front of the DS wheel where an oil cooler should go.... There is the radar unit - that can go for race use) One of the 2 HX water pumps, the silver cylinder. That needs to be kept but might be able to be relocated But the bad news, the big computer mounted vertically in front of the wheel (blocking any potential air exit) is the electric steering computer. That is required until/unless i do a hydraulic steering conversion, and in CAD based modern car design it is not like I can just pop a big unit like that somewhere else (plus the loom would be too short anywhere else too). So, the passenger side is OK to clear out (just use a smaller washer reservoir, potentially elsewhere), but the DS no beuno
    • Well, all the best with the new camry It was interesting to hear about the UK process, it is generally a lot more streamlined here with a shipping agent looking after all the import side (noting the exact final price can still be a surprise.....) and I've used a few different brokers on the japan (or US) side, and never had any trouble with any of them....luck of the draw I guess. You mentioned you didn't get the auction sheet (understandable since you bought it from a dealer, not auction), but I always try and get hold of that because they are pretty thorough. I've imported 2x R grade vehicles over the years and both were fine, repairs in Japan are pretty thorough compared to here in Oz.
    • BTW I measured the jack I have, it is 70mm at the saddle but you only have about 700 until it returns to 150mm high at the cylinder so it is good but no magic bullet.
