haha, well i trust SAU members not to be stupid on the cruise, even if they arent entered. I dont think non entrants will be allowed in the gates, cos it says on my form i have to display both stickers etc, but anyone is more than welcome to join in i guess, they just have to behave :D

Cant wait, should be a good turn out! Anyone else want details just let me know

I lived in the Unley area, and was on greenhill rd. yesterday about 7ish, and it was quite the sight as all the people going to that cruise drove along Grenhill Rd. towards the hills.

Lots of cars revving their engines hard, to make themselves noticed among the big crowd, even a few 'involuntary wheelspins' were heard and seen by the many unexpected pedestrians.

I wonder how the cruise went in the end, and it there was some issues with the boys in blue, (defect stations and the like)

because Sporting Car Club of SA is a proper club and this is a paid for event they have to submit the route to the police and in turn enter a gentleman's agreement that if we behave then there is not trouble

unfortunately SAU went down just as flick sent me the PM so i didnt know the start point but funnily enough i stumbled across the tail end of the cruise coming back from work. so i followed on, was pretty well behaved on the streets, had a nice run up windy's until i realised i had to slow down and pull over to get back behind them at the top as i didnt know the route

pretty typical route, was hoping for some more spirited hillsy roads but overall pretty good.

    • Maybe they'll look to do a bunch of presales to help inject some cash fast for their financial issues...
    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
