dam, bad luck to Coultard.

That whole starting incident was Hamiltons fault once again in my opinion. Went in too hot to get infront of Massa den caused the roll on effect when he locked the brakes.

Im sick of the shit he gets away with in F1.

Ok...i concede. The FIA are farked int he head. Lewis just got a drive through for turn 1 ....the FIA are farked in the head and i will be personally driving a car full of fertiliser into their head office foyer!

Alonso is a star and showing his class...has track position on Kuz...and GO Bourdais in the lead :spank:

LOL. I take it nobody else is watching this live? Great race so far!

I'm watching it as well, streaming it on the laptop whilst I have Bathurst on the TV.

Massa deserved that penalty because he had all 4 wheels over the white line, if he had kept 2 wheels inside the whiteline, I don't think that he would have gotten the penalty.

I haven't seen a replay of the turn 1 incident, so I can't comment yet on that decision.

How is that, Bathurst and F1 finishing within 10seconds of one another!

So happy for Alonso! Loved how Hamo had to unlap himself with a few corners to go

Massa just too much car for Mark :spank:

...and surely Bourdais has now doen enough to prove that he is a better option then any of the other GP2 hacks getting around at present!

Seb B. has been penalised for the contact with Massa, demoting him 25 seconds and out of the points, so Massa now has 2 points and is 5 behind Homo, and Mark gets a point for 8th.

Well, i have typically been pretty open minded with the FIA calls this year and tried to see merit in them...but dont understand why Lewis was given a drive through and dont understand why Bourdais has been penalised. They have lost the plot this year. I watched the 2007 Japanese GP the other night and the last few laps between Kubz and Massa was a cracker. Penalising Lewis and Bourdais is BS! Plain and simple! :ermm:

lol love how kimi takes a drink before spraying anyone with his bottle lol!

f**king awesome work by Alonso !!!

Love how Massa really fought this race! he has got nothing to lose and proving his got what it takes

P.s i think the FIA called on Bourdais was wrong but thats racing :ermm:

Ahh how things can work out in mysterious ways

Hamilton deserved penalty because he drove half the field off the track when he didnt need to. He had his line, then moved and pushed everyone.

Bourdais was a little strange, im assuming they are saying he impeded because he would have had a lower corner speed compared to massa since bourdais just came out of the pit.

Either way, the FIA have alot more information than we do. They get all car telemetry, all team information and many camera angles etc

Im loving this!

Alonso starts 14th last race.. Wins it.

Starts 4th this race.. Wins it.

A strong dose of dejavu from last year for lewis would make this the perfect season :ermm:

Either way, even if lewis wins drivers and ferrari wins constructors it will be a big kick in the face for mclaren and show the weakness of favouring one driver.

only just found out about massa getting another point... lol bring on the lewis lovers/fia haters ... drum roll...

The call on Bourdais is completely wrong. And the Lewis penalty is wrong as well. A driver broke too late and ran wide and forced a few cars to avoid an accident. This has been std issue turn 1 stuff for decades in all classes. They were both racing incidents! But i suppose i can kind of see that Lewis recklessly jammed it in there but there wasnt real contact or race endign stuff so ??

5 more laps to go for me, but I guess I already know the result.

Seriously awesome drive by Alonzo, I can't believe he did that in a slower car. My new hero.

Too bad Massa had to be silly and cut across the grass, otherwise he would've definitely got more points but still a great drive from him.

Not a bad race to watch, bring on the next one!!!

im out, no more F1 for me this year

the stewards penalising seb instead of massa sealed it. I was on the verge of leaving after spa but this is enough

this is a side show and nobody respects it anymore.

well done to Alonso, he's proved once again, why most of these idiots dont deserve their seats, especially massa after that pitful performance. you are scum and i hope you burn in hell.

I actually thought Lewis would get penalised for turn 1...but what he did was not worthy of the same penalty as Massa shunting Lewis (which i personally think was a deliberate move by Fag-lipé). Massa should have been given a stop-go for that. I also can't believe Bourdais got penalised...when it was massa that tagged the STR's REAR wheel. Once again he's come out and said he's done nothing wrong in both incidents, whilst Lewis has accepted blame for his turn one mistake, highlighting a point i made earlier in this thread.

I am now totally convinced F1 is crooked. I will continue to watch just to see Lewis win the championship against all odds.

As far as I'm concern I'm all for Massa... Hamilton swears that "no one will pass me on the outside ever again", so Louise goes beserk and baulks/chopped and cuts off every car he passes (which on MOST occasions, has been proven to be totally unnecissary), however when Louise cops some of his own agressive medicine he jumps up and down like a spoilt child.... Ok, I love the way Hamilton races, I find him a lot like Schumacher, agressive, ruthless and utterly uncomprimising.. I love it.. I just can't understand why he can't just not have a winge when he gets some back.. I was furious when Massa just surrendered to Hamilton like a cheese scoffing Frenchy at Hockenheim this year, but it was fantastic to see him throw it around and prove himself equally as unconmprimising as Louise, face it, Louise would've made that exact same attemped under the same conditions with roles reversed...

Still, being a Ferrari man, I can't agree witht he Bourdais penalty, WTF was he suppose to do??? If he was being lapped I could understand, but it was for position... Massa should've slowed more and gone wider.. Not much can be done now, but I really don't agree with it at all.. It is bollocks... I hope the FIA change their tune in the next few years.. Some of the calls this year have been a downright disgrace, weather they favour Ferrari or not..

if Massa doesn't deserve his seat then Hamilton sure doesn't too.

where did Hamilton finish? and more importantly why did Hamilton finish not in the points? Because he f**ked up on turn one. if choice to do turn one differently who knows where we would have been after turn one but i would say their would be a big chance that massa would have still been behind him

    • OK, Step 3, if you need to remove the valve body, either to replace it, the TCM, or to do a more complete drain.  First, you need to disconnect the TCM input wires, they are about half way up the transmission on the drivers side. One plug and the wires are out of the way, but there is also a spring clip that stops the socket from sliding back into the transmission. On my car the spring clip was easy to get, but the socket was really stuck in the o-ring of the transmission housing and took some.....persuasion. You can see both the plug to remove (first) and the spring clip (second) in this pic Incidentally, right next to the plug, you can see where the casting has allowance for a dispstick/filler which Nissan decided not to provide. there is a cap held on with a 6mm head bolt that you can remove to overfill it (AMS recommend a 1.5l overfill). Final step before the big mess, remove the speed sensor that is clipped to the valve body at the rear of the box.  Then removal of the Valve Body. For this the USDM Q50 workshop manual has a critical diagram: There are a billion bolts visible. Almost all of them do not need to be removed, just the 14 shown on the diagram. Even so, I both removed one extra, and didn't check which length bolt came from which location (more on that later....). Again it is worth undoing the 4 corners first, but leaving them a couple of turns in to hold the unit up....gravity is not your friend here and trans oil will be going everywhere. Once the corners are loose but still in remove all the other 10 bolts, then hold the valve body up with 1 hand while removing the final 4. Then, everything just comes free easily, or like in my case you start swearing because that plug is stuck in the casing. Done, the valve body and TCM are out
    • OK, so if you are either going for the bigger fluid change or are changing the valve body which includes the Transmission Control Module (TCM), first you should have both a new gasket 31397-1XJ0A and a torque wrench that can work down to 8Nm (very low, probably a 1/4 drive one). You can probably get by without either, but I really didn't want to pull it all apart together due to a leak. First, you now need that big oil pan. The transmission pan is 450 long x 350 wide, and it will probably leak on all sides, so get ready for a mess. There are 24x 6mm headed bolts holding the pan on. I undid the 2 rear corners, then screwed those bolts back in a couple of turns to let the pan go low at that end, then removed all the middle bolts on each side. Then, undo the front corner bolts slowly while holding the pan up, and 80% of the fluid will head out the rear. From there, remove the remaining bolts and the pan is off. You can see it is still dripping oil absolutely everywhere...it dripped all night.... I got another couple of litres when I removed the pan, and then another few when I removed the valve body - all up another 4l on top of the 3 already dropped in step 1.
    • Yeh I think i'll message an old contact i had for ages that manages his own tyre shop now.. n tell him what i want n work with him before ordering..  Got this 17x9 +30 Driftteks on 245/45/17 PSR Drag Radials on the rear.. They fit well - for your reference in future - Rear guards  have been lipped in & minimal to non flaring of the rear Gaurds.
    • If only it were that easy! I also needed to remove seats, shocks, brake calipers, send my car through a fence, and use measuring and ended up guessing because I didn't remove seats, shocks and brake calipers. It can be hard sometimes Can be a little more complex than 'just measure' if you want to truly measure the entire wheel through all of it's suspension travel. But if you aren't going for every last mm then yeah, you can check the space you currently have and guesstimate.
    • If you own a car, and it has wheels on it, and you know the offset of those wheels, and you have a measuring device, you have everything you need to work out if other wheels will fit.
