Like wise, did you stay for the dyno runs?

i stayed to watch yours then we left just after you, mates wrx is stuffed, been driving around with a shit tune for 7 months running 25psi standard bottom end :( so he wasnt in the mood to hang around.

if you dont end up with atleast 550hp atw with that combo, your not trying hard enough haha

thats from my evo with a 2.2 stroker and gt35 .63 rear housing..

I've always liked the evo's over the wrx...ever since I saw footage of that black/red time attack evo from japan :( what a monsta!

If I ever was forced to sell my gtr I'd get an evo (or an r35gtr lol), what do they weigh? With the power ur making it would be fun hehe

marko i hope the greddy pump ive got will pump as hard as you ...lol

sorry nick hrr hrrm...i think u have mistaken me for 1 of your greek mates

whats the difference between the nitto and N1 pump?

n1's break & nitto's dont  sadly, that is the difference, oh & the nitto runs a billet gear

lol well im 50 greek and 50 your mob so no i was thinking of you....zabra

Have been in an EVO running a twin scroll 1.06a/r GT3582R, the spool is seriously seriously impressive.... I have a .82a/r GT3076R and I'd honestly not expect to feel too much compromise going to a T4 GT35R.

How big was the engine in it Lithium? Pump fuel?

I've been dicked with this Precision turbo I ordered due to a core change, they can't offer me a 0.84 TS T4 so I was thinking a 1.06 but a bit scared, wanted to start small.

Should be cruising next Friday Dave, Kyle lent me a T04Z with a 0.70 divided for now, expecting it to be powerful and lazy...

Oh, now I know what I was talking about. The EVO I was referring to in this post is an EVO 5 running a "2.4litre" stroker and it is basically a torque monster. The one I referred to in my PM in response to you runs a 2litre in an EVO 2 and is obviously not so mental from low revs but still has a well broad power delivery.

The 2litre is 18psi by 4500rpm, the 2.4 hasn't been dyno tuned yet but feels like hell has opened up by 4000rpm - they both run BP98.

    • Yea that's a fair assumption. I'm presuming they call them solid lifters as they have no moving parts like hydro lifters.
    • I believe you're confusing WMI with water injection. Looking at that graph, the 93aki+WMI car is making more power than C16 race gas. Boost juice, which is what I also run, is Snow Performances 50/50 premix.
    • GCG is a good company, they're a major distributor for Garrett in Japan as well.
    • Nah, OEM washer bottle and brake fluid reservoirs are fine I don't know what it is with the plastic that Mazda used, some plastics, like the washer bottle and brake fluid res are fine, and still look new after 20 years use, where as the coolant expansion tank, and PS reservoir, that I replaced with new OEM items when I first got the car, turned yellow and started getting brittle a few years later If the dirty yellow stained plastics didn't trigger me there wouldn't be an issue, but they did, much like the battery bracket....... Meh As for going back to work full time to support car stuff, nope, why, because I own a Mazda NC MX5, not a Nissan R series Skyline 🤣
    • I've never heard of CJ-motor, so can't advise you on them. I'd just go straight to GCG for a GCG highflow though. Seems no point to use a middleman. I'm somewhat surprised that the price on the CJ site is lower than the GCG retail price. Even though CJ would get a discount of some sort, you would hardly expect them to give up so much margin. Maybe the price is out of date? Having said that "I'd go to GCG"...when I did my highflow, I went to Hypergear. I did this https://hypergearturbos.com/product/rb25dethighflow/#tab-dyno-results with the R34 OP6 450HP profile. With the BB centre (extra $400) and intially with the standard boost actuator, but I eventually got him to send me the high pressure one when I got to the point of being able to actually use it. Ends up costing the same sort of money as the GCG highflow, but this is, of course, the turbo that I KNOW has a shorter length core and so moves the comp cover rearwards. The GCG apparently doesn't do that. My mechanic also swears by the GCG highflow, given that we have another turbo rebuilder who does something essentialy the same as theirs, using Garrett wheels. He says it stands up at really low revs and makes good power. I haven't pushed my HG highflow past ~240-250rwkW yet (should have a little more in it, but unclear how much) and it does have a fairly gentle boost ramp. OK, it's much better now that I have gotten my boost controller tuned up on it.  A lot of my earlier unhappiness was because I couldn't keep the wastegate flap as closed as it needed to be (including some mechanical issues). I'd still prefer it to boost up nearly as quickly as the stocker, and it certainly a bit slower than that. So maybe the GCG one is worth the first look (for you).
